I could have sworn Sami talked to Kayla at the Pub.  Had a sick, innocent child crawled under the table while I wasn't looking??

 

The things I miss.....

Theresa and Eve are the second best couple on the show right now.  I continue to like how they're writing Paige, except for the bits where she makes excuses for Abigail's begging EJ for sex while pretending to be Sami's friend.  I so wish they would move these three (along with JJ for that matter) away from the Devereaux hags.

 

Speaking of, Jennifer's hypocrisy knows no bounds.  She stands there and accuses Theresa of enjoying other people's misery, then two seconds later she does the very same thing!  Not like she hasn't done it before - Eve, Nicole, and Dr. Tan have all been subjected to it.  I hate her character so damn much.  Would it hurt to have someone, anyone, call her and her insipid, bizarre looking daughter out for being hypocritical douches every once in awhile and have it stick?  I mean, damn. 

 

I have zero interest in Abby and Ben and still have no idea why 1) she gets so much screen time, 2) her scenes are so much longer than most everyone else, and 3) why so many other characters are wasted talking about her.  Abby is a horrible character played by a horrible actress.

 

Couldn't some time be devoted to finally doing something with Aiden and his backstory?  I actually like the character and want to know more about him.  I also like Hope and want to see what she's thinking/feeling about Bo and their marriage.  Having her and Aiden do nothing but bicker and flashback to their dance over and over again is getting tiresome. 

 

And when was the last time Abe was on?  When Theresa clubbed John over the head with the poker?  At least they haven't brought him out of backburnerville to sing Abby's praises like poor Kayla and Lucas.

Well, Bust my BUTTONS and call me Bozo, but I had NO idea that Jenn had a side job teaching at Clown College until I saw her in full clown makeup at the hospital today.  I wish we could have seen her feet while she was reaming out Theresa cuz I BET she still had on those adorable clown shoes to go with her outfit and makeup.  The only thing missing was one of those lapel flowers, and Theresa should be grateful because if Jenn had been wearing one, I'm sure Theresa would have been spurted by it while Jenn taught her the Catechism According to Horton.

 

I have to say that for someone who is SO convinced that her daughter is a paragon of virtue, Jenn sure looked liked a version of Elvira Gulch nursing a 2 week drunk today.  Our Polly Pureheart was in a VERY bad mood.  Her telling Theresa was a miserable cuss she was certainly sounded like Pot Calling Kettle Black to me.  I only wish that said Kettle had boinged Pot right in her overpainted noggin after she gave her the viper tongue bath.

It looks to me like Will has discovered the Inner Sneasel that lives in Jenn and Abigail as well.  It must be a latent Horton gene thing.

 

I love Paige, and I think she's generally pretty sharp, but Momma was right and Paige was wrong when Paige decided that Abigail was the victim in all this.  Now I love me some Kassie de Paiva, but that doesn't mean I think Eve is some noble soul in pursuit of NOTHING BUT TRUTH AND JUSTICE - because when it comes to Jenn, she's out for revenge and payback.  And I'm all for it. Jenn makes it impossible to ever feel she's in the right and and that her "persecutors" are wrong, with how ugly she gets taunting them.  I hope she pays and pays and pays until that tiny brain of hers explodes.

 

Theresa is growing on me leaps and bounds.  This character, this actor, is a real keeper.  I would like to see she and Eve grow to have a real relationship, but so far I don't see it happening on Eve's side.  But it sure would be great for Theresa to have someone on her side, with no reservations.  

 

Have my prayers been answered?  Has Abigail been locked away and buried alive?  Does this mean we won't ever have to see her again until her withered remains are found, Kangaroo arms wrapped around the empty remains of Ollie, sucked dry by her fangs?  Perhaps when their bodies are found, we could have Sami Van Helsing drive Abby's Golden Circle Of Goodness Virginity Decoder Ring right into her blackened heart, causing Abigail's soul to exit from the top of her hair bun and disappear into  a bottle.  

Then we can have a horror spin-off called I Dream of Screechy.

Nah, I'd never watch.

 

What else happened, today, what else, what else???  Hmmm....OH!  Theresa caught JJ trying to guess Paige's weight and got all the wrong ideas, while we got all the right ideas if we're thinking Paige's dad is soon to appear in Salem.  

And Rafe, ACE Detective, seems to think Tammie Flue and Ollie's dad is just one good ol' boy, not noticing the creepy vibes at all.  While, back at the ranch, we were forced one more time to see BOTH Hope and Aiden remember that friggin' dance.  ENOUGH WITH THE DANCE - and I know I'm not alone in that here at all.  By now any sexual tension they both might have had as couple seems more like the heartbreak of psoriasis.

 

One final thought - who here didn't love Jenn acting all shocked that Eve was surprised she was at work?  And then she got huffy about it.  The real surprise is that Jenn can even find her office without a hand-held GPS device.

 

Now why am I sure that the Salem GPS now has Abigail's Hoo Haw on its latest update?  After all, everyone should know the quickest route, not only married men.

Maybe (maybe) in a publicly traded company or a non-profit but isn't DE privately held?  Or at least the Dimera's must own the majority of the stock.  Seriously though, if one of the Waltons or Kochs wanted someone gone in pretty much any company, they would be gone so fast your head would spin.  I think the power of publicity is ineffective once you get to the billionaire stratosphere (and they aren't running for office).

Another way to think about it is the potential ethics violation on the part of the hospital. How bad is it going to look that the hospital is going to overlook one of the policies in its handbook because the person in question is a part of the Horton family? What if Abigail committed fraud and Kayla refused to fire her? How would anyone, in good conscience, be willing to donate money to a place who's willing to protect someone who committed wrongdoing?

Exactly, Kayla wasn't going to enforce the hospital's policy because she's related to Abby so Sami would have a right to give the money to a hospital that would honor its own rules.

Excellent points!  PLUS she did it in Salem which is Ground Zero of Gossip. Everybody knows everyone's business in Salem. What did she think was going to happen?  I just can't feel sorry for Abigail.  Based on what's happening now, I guess she's gonna get it on with Ben in the storeroom. Bareback, I'm sure. I guess I wouldn't be focusing on this if EJ hadn't called her "BREATHTAKINGLY beautiful." Her face has turned into a weird distraction for me ever since EJ stuck in the "breathtaking" part of the description...

 

Even when Abigail flirts, she seems sort of defensive and shrill. It's hard to tell whether she wants to kiss the guy or smack him. Ben seems more deft and quicker at shutting her up than other guys though.

Whenever Aidan isn't with Hope, I'm struck with how handsome he is.  Hope isn't right for him and neither is Jennifer.  I liked the cute barista who flirted with him.  Why don't they bring her on and put Aidan with her.  And then all the old biddies can be SCANDALIZED that Aidan is dating a young girl.  Boom! There's your storyline, Days. Get on it. Plus it has the added advantage of never seeing the effing Cinderella Ball flashback.  I mean, 2 times yesterday they showed it.  TWICE. My memory's not that bad, Days, I can remember Hope still has the hots for him just 4 scenes later. Can't they find any other moment where Aidan and Hope connected?

I concur with the post above that Abby lost weight. She was always slim but her face looks a lot thinner than it already even was. Maybe they aren't going there with JJ and Eve, but it really does seem like a porn setup.  Here's the handsome youth JJ alone at home, frustrated and horny and then MILF Eve is at the door, eating him up with her eyes.  I'm beginning to think it's intentional and they are really GOING THERE with Eve and JJ.

 

And while it's totally not okay and I hate it for Paige, I strangely don't mind the idea....

JJ is a much better actor than Paige, so his wide-eyed quality tends to be more "riveting" with Eve. He tends to spark more in scenes with women older (and more skilled) than Paige. I noticed he seemed more interesting with Sami too.

 

I think JJ and Paige could be really good if Paige could act. The character is fine, but the actress is meh. And I don't know why they're making her look so bad on the show. She's another one with a face that makes me confused.

At least Roman is consistent.  He hates EJ, and always will.  So far, Caroline is the only person in Sami's family who has actually talked to Sami, and listened to her.

 

Sami shouldn't even bother negotiating a divorce.  She should finalize whatever her and Kate's plan was, and send EJ to prison for life.  EJ's supposed concern for Sami annoys me.  Just like his, "I'm not going to support Kristen, blah, blah, blah," nonsense does.  Where was this effort to work on their relationship before?  Instead of lying to Sami, making jokes about Kristen raping Eric, and screwing his children's babysitter, EJ could have tried to work things out with Sami before he ruined everything.  I just want EJ to die.

Ollie Rollie Ben and Tamiflu have been on this show for what seems like years and we still know next to nothing about them. Tamiflu actually has been here for almost a year. They could both disappear tomorrow and no one but Rafe and The Supply Closet Girl would notice. The money being wasted on those two actors could be going to the wardrobe department.

I like the relationship between Eve and Paige and (for the most part) Paige and JJ, so if Eve and JJ screwed that would be ruined.  Even worse, it would give Jennifer something else to piss and shriek about.  They sure do look like they're headed in that direction, though. 

 

Eve and JJ as friends or mentor/mentee would be more interesting to me.  He could be a good little schemer, and an older woman/younger man platonic scheme team would be so much fun.  It could provide the angst between Eve/Paige, Paige/JJ, and their targets.  Bonus!  It would drive stupid Jennifer even crazier than she already is.

 

Like LeftPhalange, I hope today's lunch is part of Sami's long con.  EJ does not deserve to be forgiven and Abigail should not be allowed to have the last word.

 

JL is a very beautiful and talented woman.  Days is lucky to have her.  I wish they'd let Theresa and Nicole become friends.  Nicole desperately needs a pal and Theresa needs more than just Anne.  The three of them as friends would be wonderful.

 

I'm liking Aiden more and more and am looking forward to finally learning his backstory.

 

Abby and Ben were FF material, as usual.

Theresa was all over the place today.  I love her giving advice to and befriending Paige, I think she means well but repeatedly telling her that JJ wants only one thing seems out of character.  Theresa used and threatened JJ back then.  While he was clearly interested in Theresa he never just wanted one thing from her.  Still, I feel like she is trying to be more supportive than her mother but has too much on her own plate.  I don't agree Paige and Eve have a good relationship.  When has Paige looked happy at all since the day she hugged her mother upon her arrival home? It's a nonstop lecture and the constant sadface she needs to maintain is affecting how much I like her as a character because there's enough sadface on this show.

 

I agree with Theresa that Paige is the one who takes care of Eve and then I was sort of stunned when Theresa marched right over to tell Eve about  making out in the van.  I hope those two have sex and get it over with just to piss people off because they're adults now so why the hell not imho.  He's known her since April and they're in a committed relationship. But noooo, we've got to frustrate JJ in order to build up sexual tension with Eve.  *slams head into wall*

 

It was interesting to hear Theresa talk about how she felt her parents were nothing but judgmental.  She was no doubt a challenging child, but I can absolutely see Kimberly being a very demanding mother.  I was never a Patsy Pease fan, good lord she was high strung. I'm guessing Shane was indulgent but not very involved, he always seemed distracted to me.

 

The scenes with JJ and Eve were nicer than I expected but I feel really protective of JJ and that's a line that can't be crossed with me, sexually or otherwise. It made my head spin how we hear nothing but badmouthing to Paige and Theresa and the next thing you know she's bonding with JJ? She's setting him up.  With extended moaning music. While Theresa's behaviour was terrible when she first came I always felt we could expect more.  I'm not getting that vibe with Eve.  I have to say I thought her singing was pretty.  I just don't want to see any night club crap in the future.

 

Stray observations: 

 

Is it wrong I want to lick Aiden's dimple?  TMI?  I didn't quite catch the reason he thinks he was a bad husband.

 

Sorry Days but pairing Hope with a younger looking man is not going to make me forget she has a 30 year old son. 

 

I agree Nicole and Theresa would be a very interesting relationship.

 

Maggie sucks but she's right about rolling her eyes when Dan said it shouldn't matter that Eve is Paige's mother.  Yeahhh, ok Dan.  I kept waiting for her to go over to check on JJ like she said and scream HOLY CHEESES WHAT IS GOING ON HERE because I don't want them alone. 

 

I wasn't listening but did Ben really tell Abs to basically shut up about EJ because she ruined the entire picnic? Still, they were pretty happy to start making out with each other's tuna mouth.  Since you two are eating and drinking, someone is going to need to sit on a bucket soon, I'm just saying. But he does seem to know how to control her better than anyone else so I'll give him that. 

 

Sami and EJ were charming today.  Yes, I hope she is setting him up but chatting about your kids can be a pretty powerful incentive toward calling a truce. It's nice to see her get a little break from the stress she's been under since well before the wedding and she looked pretty.

Yep, it would, but either JJ and Eve are gonna do it, or she and/or Theresa are going to make it look like so. (Mmmmh huuuh, yeaaaahhh). I would find friendship more interesting, too, but the writers will not do anything interesting.

I am just going to enjoy seeing scenes with anyone other than Jen. The female family drama is great with Eve, Paige, and Theresa, even though I do not understand Theresa's motives exactly. As a long timer, I dig seeing Kim and Shanes's progeny.

The writers have to be having Sami set EJ up, though. They still might get back together in the process.

So Maggie, is Chelsea irredeemable too?

Ben and Abby: Babby, or B-Eh, emphasis on the eh. His abdomen does not look normal.

I like Hope and Aiden, but they space them out too much, so we get needless, annoying repetition of the dance. I have not imdb'd the actors' ages, but as a 40-something woman, you can't do anything about the neck, and go Hope. I can fully imagine Bo being a loser, he probably has a new woman.
