General Days June 2 Share June 2 Quote As the One-on-One conversations continue, Janelle opens up about her dislike for both Kody and Robyn. Christine discusses her issue with the term "favorite ex-wife." Kody considers a guy trip with David. While the episode is airing, we chat in the Live Chat thread. After the episode finishes, we move it to this very thread. Right here. Yeah. You're in the right place. Just do the live chatting in the Live Chat thread. (And goodness, David. Don't go on a guy trip with the Kodpiece.) 4 12 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153812-s19e27-one-on-one-part-2-aka-tell-all-part-2/
Popular Post Gramto6 June 2 Popular Post Share June 2 I get the feeling that both Kody and especially Robin have realized they can't keep their lies straight any more or maybe even remember them all. Rather than dig themselves into a deeper hole, they are saying as little or nothing as in Kody's case to some questions. I really don't think TLC should let them get away with this tactic. I agree they should have their pay docked when they don't answer or won't look at the clips. 18 8 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153812-s19e27-one-on-one-part-2-aka-tell-all-part-2/#findComment-8676740

laurakaye June 2 Share June 2 7 hours ago, surfgirl said: That whole stare down Douche did with Suki at the end? He just has no self awareness of how utterly horrible he presents himself with his bullshit justifications and delulu lies. Man, that was weird. I applaud Suki for asking, "so are we having a stare down? Is that what this is?" Good for her. She must have asked him a question that he and Robyn didn't rehearse so it literally fried the two remaining neurons in his brain and he shorted out for a few minutes. And then there's Robyn, who answered every question with a flippant and dismissive "I don't know. I don't care. I don't remember." What I find funny is that Kody and Robyn appear to have think they've "won" somehow, therefore neither of them really needs to be bothered answering the questions that they are being paid to answer. They seem to have this perception that they have risen above these tell-alls, and that by refusing to answer questions, they are keeping the juicy details from their adoring fans when in reality, it makes them both look like literal idiots. I loved Suki baiting Kody into thinking that David wanted to go on a he-man trip with him. Kody was practically levitating at the thought that David might want to hang out with him, but then just as quickly Kody shut it down for "reasons" that he wouldn't disclose. It's like Kody really wanted the stud quarterback to hang out with him after school just so Kody could be the tougher guy by turning him down. It must be a living nightmare to live with Kody and his delusions of grandeur. The OG 3 must feel amazing after dumping his ass as well as his equally delusional puppet master. 18 1 1 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153812-s19e27-one-on-one-part-2-aka-tell-all-part-2/#findComment-8676873

Popular Post surfgirl June 2 Popular Post Share June 2 (edited) I have been saying for years now that everyone on this show, but especially K&R, should have written into their contracts that they must watch every video play back and answer every question the Tell Nothing as honestly and with as much detail as possible or their salary will be docked. Make a schedule of penalties- refusing to answer a question revokes $20k of your salary. Make it a huge amount. These morons are being paid a lot of money to do nothing. During that insane stare off with Suki, you could see in K's eyes what a scary person he would be if you were alone with him. And when Suki said, "are you going to just sit there and act like a BABY?!?" I nearly pissed myself! "No you can't. Yes I can. No you can't. Yes I can." VioletNevermind June 2 Share June 2 (edited) I've said so much about this show by now that I feel like I'm regurgitating old "material." In fact, I'm sure that's how Sobyn and her douchelord husband feel, but guess what? I'm not being paid to post my thoughts about Sister Wives on Primetimer. No one is racing here after the show to see what Violet Nevermind thinks. Kody and Sobyn ARE, however, being paid (and handsomely so) to watch clips, discuss them with Suki, and fully participate in the tell-alls, even if it's uncomfortable for them. If they're not going to fulfill their responsibilities as outlined in their contracts, then their pay should be docked, at the very least. I'm still salty about them getting Tamron Hall fired because she had the "audacity" to ask the tough questions and hold them to account for their shady behavior and half-truths. They really do live in a delusional world of their own design. If this show doesn't continue after this season, I really would miss it (hate-watching is a favorite pastime of mine and I've been watching it since literal day one), but I truly can't imagine what subsequent seasons would be based upon. Would anyone really tune in to see Christine and David managing their rental property? Meri bumming around managing her Worthy Up business (or whatever the hell it's called)? Janelle at her flower farm? King and Queen Brown on their front porch, watching the sunset without the other wives? Whatever random OG kids decide to appear? Rhetorical questions, of course, but I think they're valid ones. I certainly don't expect the family to operate as a unit anymore, and I definitely support the kids who have gone no-contact with their father, but there is literally no Sister Wives show anymore. If anything, Garrison's absolutely tragic passing should serve as a stark effing reminder that these types of reality shows that involve children and very young adults are so harmful. Sure, Garrison may have ended his life even if the show didn't exist, but the fact that I know about it and all of the details that most likely contributed to it is just wrong, to the point where I feel guilty for watching at times. Receiving fat paychecks for pimping out your private family business may pay the bills (and help you buy massive, hideous pieces of artwork), but I'll never agree with forcing your underage children to grow up in front of millions of people (looking at you, Teen Mom). Childhood is messy and painful enough as it is without that. Hanya2 June 2 Share June 2 Most of these interviews are beating a dead horse to me. The three women have moved on. They're happier and more themselves, more relaxed and they look better. To me the important question to ask Cody and really press him on, is what is he doing to establish communication and decent relationships with his grown kids? Will he ever be the grown-up, and accept responsibility? The wives have moved on, but he'll always be these kid's father. And what about the two youngest, Truly and Savannah (although it looks like Savannah graduated high school)? There was no talk at all about co-parenting. Maybe the ground rules were not to discuss the children. 12 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153812-s19e27-one-on-one-part-2-aka-tell-all-part-2/#findComment-8676987

laurakaye June 2 Share June 2 (edited) Actually, did we just witness history in a Sister Wives tell-all? Did we just watch Robyn Alice Brown NOT cry/dry cry/pretend cry, not even one time? I think in Part One she squished her eyeballs briefly and looked towards the ceiling - her patented trying-to-cry sequence - but Part 2, she was all, "not gonna watch. Don't care, don't know, don't recall, don't wanna talk about it" and she did it with a certain smugness that I don't think we have seen from her before, at least not on a tell-all. Those are usually the episodes where Robyn pulls out all the tricks and starts crying before she even sits down for the interview. Funny...I think she thinks she won the game. Meanwhile, we all know she won the booby prize. For life. Gramto6 June 2 Share June 2 You're right @laurakaye! I don't think there was even one try/dry/cry at all. The other impression I got from her was she was almost turning her side to the camera. Not making any eye contact she could avoid. Kody did his finger to the mouth, she did her turn away from you "I'm not talking about it..." routine. It was almost as if they had agreed beforehand that they weren't going to answer anything they didn't want to. Of course Kody couldn't stick to it as well as Robyn, he has to always have the last word. Yes, that smugness in Robyn was very obvious. I think she thinks Kody still has control of the show and the power to have Suki fired, so they can do what they please in the Tell Nothings. That may not be so true any more with the new production company. Shelbie June 3 Share June 3 I wonder if even Robyn wants his body anymore. She is not competing against the other wives and she must get sick of the sight of him. Kody continues to play up that he and Robyn have a love story for the ages and are the truest of true loves but it is starting to reek of desperation. If Robyn ever left him I would laugh my ass off but he would curl up in a ball and cry forever. 10 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153812-s19e27-one-on-one-part-2-aka-tell-all-part-2/#findComment-8677285
Meow Mix June 3 Share June 3 OK, I love that Suki is pushing harder finally. Getting Janelle to finally just say what we have all known forever that she just doesn't like Kody and especially Robyn was great. Janelle is indifferent at this point and I hope Meri gets there as well. Not sure if Christine will ever fully let go of her anger, but I understand that she spent most of her childhood and adulthood in this cult. She has a great life now, but it wouldn't surprise me if she regrets that her prime years were spent with a guy who thought she was disgusting. I loved it when Suki straight up told Kody he was acting like a baby. But my favorite exchange was around the clip of poor Gwendlyn's engagement party. Suki: Brings up the engagement party where Kody and David meet. Let's watch the clip Kody: a ton of verbal diarrhea about how he had no problem, it was great, whatever. Suki: OK, then let's watch the clip. Kody: more verbal diarrhea. Suki: (clearly catching on) OK, yeah, but let's watch the clip then you can comment. Kody: Let's skip the clip Suki: (brightly) Let's watch the clip. And as he starts to protest, the clip starts rolling and you can see he is ticked. I'm still laughing over that. The staring contest was creepy. Kody has serious issues and he just can't hide it. Smug Robyn is less impulsive so couldn't be as easily goaded into a response. But Kody is really ticked about what is going on outside of the tell-all and it shows. I did find it really bizarre when Suki told him that David was up for a guys trip (don't do it David!). Kody could barely contain his excitement. It was like back in the day when I half expected him to start humping Caleb's leg. Kody's relationships with men are just so strange. Meri had me cheering when she brought up Kody calling her a couple of weeks earlier to talk about how he was grieving the loss of their marriage. I loved that she shut him down hard and told Suki that he could grieve he wants, but that's his thing and she wants no part of it. And I loved her categorical no when Suki asked if she regretted getting the release. I hope she keeps on this much healthier path. As for smug Robyn, I don't think she's as happy as she claims. The more I see of her the more I think she just doesn't see people as human beings. Rather she sees everyone (including Kody and her bio kids) as things like her Precious Moments crap or her rumored dolls. They are supposed to sit on the shelf just as she places them and not want anything. Then occasionally they are to arrange themselves in a nice tableau for her to look at. Once she is done, they are to go back on the shelf and not bother her. And they certainly should not object to any of this. She's very angry that the OG wives and kids did not want to be part of her collection. And what's left just doesn't make the pretty picture she wanted. I was amazed at her hypocrisy around saying that if you share children, your lives are always tied together. Wonder what her ex would say to that. David is so chill. I loved that he called Kody's bluff on the guys trip. I doubt he would actually agree to it, but he just goes with the flow in the interview and will do as he wants off camera. He really does have Christine's back on things and that is nice for both of them. I just hope once the cameras are off, that Kody is the last thing on either of their minds. Finally, I figured that stuff in the bowl on the coffee table was some sort of moss, but it's way more entertaining to think it was a bunch of broccoli. Lemons and a glass of hot water for Kody to manically squeezed them into would have been entertaining as well. 8 3 6 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153812-s19e27-one-on-one-part-2-aka-tell-all-part-2/#findComment-8677342

MamaMax June 3 Share June 3 Kody is positively insufferable. I loved Suki not allowing him to bully her which is CLEARLY what he was trying to do. I 100% think Kody's main problem is ego death. He liked being married to the OG3 because they pretty much worshipped him and he felt powerful in those relationships. I've heard people say that in a romantic relationship, one partner always feels they got the better end of the deal (and in a super happy relationship, BOTH people feel they got the better deal LOL). I think Kody was the opposite and liked feeling that his wives were lucky to have him and he was somehow a "good guy" for marrying them. The rejection from people he feels are below his league is jut too much for him. And I think Christine's leaving stings the most because she was the "least" among the wives. (In HIS opinion, based on tons of comments he has made) 12 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153812-s19e27-one-on-one-part-2-aka-tell-all-part-2/#findComment-8677669
laurakaye June 3 Share June 3 The Sister Wives Professor podcast talks often about Kody's ego death. I do think he's so used to being worshipped and the center of attention, and he loved being a major chaos king - while everyone tried to grab crumbs of his attention, he flitted around aimlessly evading as many people as he could in order to get them to want him even more. Kody being the sun around whom everyone else revolved was his jam. Now that 75% of his family is no longer interested in him, he seems quite befuddled as to why his brand of narcissistic charm isn't working on Suki. And I am loving it. 16 1 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153812-s19e27-one-on-one-part-2-aka-tell-all-part-2/#findComment-8677676

If Kody and To bun want a quiet life they should go have it. I have to add, when he said his body belongs to Robyn I had to laugh. No one, besides Robyn, is wanting your body Kody. I am not sure Robyn wants it either 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153812-s19e27-one-on-one-part-2-aka-tell-all-part-2/#findComment-8677758

Gotta say, it's 50/50 IMO. 2 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153812-s19e27-one-on-one-part-2-aka-tell-all-part-2/#findComment-8677789
