xls September 25, 2014 Share September 25, 2014 I had to laugh when Jenna said to Dr. Jen; "You didn't like that, did you?" LOL. Dr. Jen needs to set an example by keeping her own potty mouth in check, if she expects patients not to cuss out producers. And yes, whiny-ass Nicki, you did sign up for both shows so STFU. 3 Link to comment

FireFoxy September 25, 2014 Share September 25, 2014 She got a decent edit during the show but the BTS gossip was that she was a bitch. A lot of the nice girls from her season didn't like her but the show downplayed that. I think being with Juan Pablo is her karma for being so awful. 5 Link to comment
poeticlicensed September 25, 2014 Share September 25, 2014 Nikki is being a bitch. She said it herself, she wants the benefits (i.e. fame and money) that comes with celebrity, but she doesn't want the bad things, like invasion of privacy. Boo hoo, you make your own bed princess. If she wanted therapy but didn't want cameras, then don't sign up for a TV show called couples therapy. I'm guessing the housemates are already tiring of her whininess. And there is no excuse for treating the camera people like she does. They are just trying to do their job. Treach and Cicely have so many problems, it's just overwhelming. Jersey Shore girl (sorry I don't have all the names memorized yet) I think she is trying to exaggerate their problems to have a storyline. They seem like a solid couple. Why doesn't Dr Jen call out Jenna on her drug use? She said she reviews the tape, that's how she knew about her reaction to her room and Nikki's behavior. It was obvious to even people like me who know nothing about addiction that she was using. 2 Link to comment

There's a fine line between being "real" and being a bitch and I've seen her step over to the bitchy side too many times now. She tries to hide it by calling it sarcasm, but I don't buy it. She's stuck in Mean Girl mode 10 years after high school and it's not pretty. 2 Link to comment

ramble September 25, 2014 Share September 25, 2014 Gak, Nikki is disgusting, as is Juan Pablo. They are perfect for each other. This show makes me feel like I need a shower or bleach or a shower in bleach. It's just trashy & not good, fun trash. How disappointing. Dr. Jenn honestly seemed to enjoy saying s**k a c**k immensely. She managed to say it 112 times in one minute. I agree that she can't complain about cursing when she uses the f word as often as a conjunction. (Was it just me or did they seem to bleep her suck comment slightly less than Jenna's? Is was like she wished she could say it fully for the audience.) 1 Link to comment

sofiah September 25, 2014 Share September 25, 2014 (edited) I find "Dr." Jen so unprofessional. Nikki is acting like a total bitch, but the way Dr. Jen approached it was beyond immature - 'So... Nicki, do you remember what your exact words were to the camera crew this morning?' Why not just approach Nikki as an adult and flat out say 'Treating the crew like this is unacceptable. Please stop.' Also, again, I HATE taking Nikki's side - but should she (or any one of them) really be reprimanded for conversations she has with the other women in the house - or in Jenna's case, for something she said to Nikki. Granted, she is being beyond annoying, but it shouldn't really be such a big deal to Dr. Jen. Being "in intense therapy" is one thing -- being reprimanded by your therapist for private conversations (private in the sense that they are not having them with Dr. Jen or as part of any therapy session) you are having with acquaintances is another thing. I would feel completely stifled and unable to have honest conversations with ANYONE if I felt like 'Dr. Jen' was going to criticize me the next day if they didn't fit into her definition of the 'therapeutic process'. That being said, Nikki is insufferable. Juan Pablo comes off as kind of an ass, but I at least feel he can be superficially fun/friendly at times. And he does seem to be trying to keep Nikki somewhat happy, and he does seem slightly embarrassed by her behavior and the fact that the other people in the house clearly don't like her. Jenna is messed up. The Dick guy and his "girlfriend" seem like they shouldn't be there - as in, they are broken up, and there doesn't seem to be any indication that they will ever, or should ever, get back together. Deena and her boyfriend seem like they shouldn't be there because all of their 'issues' seem completely run of the mill, every day couple problems. Yes. In general, no, but Nikki said, the doctor told me to do this one thing and I totally didn't because cameras. And the doctor knows I acted like a rude bitch to her producers. Jenna says absolutely you should act that way. NO. No you shouldn't, and fuck you for telling someone that being an ass is the preferable reaction. There may have been a more professional way to go about it, but had I been that doctor I absolutely would have called both of them to the carpet. 3 Link to comment

Yeah, I think her reaction implied she took it personally, which is understandable, but as a professional she should have tempered that reaction - especially since she had the whole night to plan out how she was going to 'scold' them. She should have just told them all (or Nikki and Jenna only) as adults what the boundaries and expectations were in terms of how to treat the crew, and told them anything less wouldn't be tolerated. Playing the 'what did you say to so-and-so last night' card just came off as petty and unprofessional in my opinion. The whole premise of this show - having a therapist that has access to every conversation you have in between sessions- is seriously messed up. 2 Link to comment
MsPH September 25, 2014 Share September 25, 2014 I agree that the so called therapist is very unprofessional, but the whole setup has very little to do with actual therapy, so I can't really complain. They're trying to make a TV show, not cure people. And while she can be very condescending, if Nikki keeps acting like a child then maybe she should be addressed as one. I don't know how someone as old as her can possibly think it's okay to act like that. Maybe she's so afraid of having real conversations with Juan Pablo that she'd rather keep him occupied with trying to calm her down. Or it's her way of getting attention, since JP seems to lose interest when things are good. Sad. Well I guess she's succeeded in making JP look better by making herself look horrible. He's starting to look like a saint for putting up with her nonsense this long. I find myself liking Jenna for the most part, but what she said to Nikki was just stupid. Why should anyone be a bitch to the crew? They all signed up for this, just deal with it! I'm glad most of them are saying the same thing. 1 Link to comment

fib September 26, 2014 Share September 26, 2014 Yes, yes she was. I really have no idea why so many people liked her. I was one of the people who liked her, but mainly in a "she's not as awful as Clare" role. She was the main competition for Clare, who I found conniving, desperate, falsely naive, and plenty catty. In comparison, Nikki seemed not to be performing a role, though she was clearly just as catty. Give me real and catty any day. Watching this, she was clearly given a 'winners' edit. She is not coming across well on this show. Both she an Juan Pablo (Galavis, by the way) both seem to be here to show that they're not the problem. Not to fix any problems. 1 Link to comment
RedheadZombie September 27, 2014 Share September 27, 2014 You could tell how seriously Juan Pablo takes the process when he felt the need to talk about his disappointment that Jenna no longer has huge boobs, and is covered in tattoos. Did he think she was part of the entertainment? What an idiot. I found it interesting that Jenna was offended by women competing for a man on The Bachelor. Banging strangers on camera (sans condom since male viewers don't like them), doesn't say female empowerment to me. I'm bothered by the fact that she seems to be an intelligent and possibly even educated woman, yet she works in the sex industry. Her bedroom scenes are either edited terribly, or she's clearly wasted and slurring her words. I know it comes with her career, but I really don't need to hear how the other guys have watched and enjoyed her porn. It just seemed very disrespectful to Jenna to leave that stuff in. The Juan Pablo comment about sharing a wall with Jenna Jameson - I don't even know what to say. Did he mean his ear was going to be pressed to the wall? The only person I know out of these idiots is Evel Dick. I despise the man, and I'm actually surprised I can watch it with him. It's pretty funny that he waited until his youngest was eighteen to have a vasectomy. What in the world did her age have to do with anything? He was a lousy father way before that anyway. 2 Link to comment

I'm bothered by this comment. There is nothing inherently wrong with sex work, and if that is what a woman chooses to do with her body, then that is her choice. Just because a woman is intelligent and/or educated does not mean she is "demeaned" by engaging in sex work for a living. A person is only demeaned when s/he personally feels so. Just because a woman is intelligent and/or educated does not mean she is "demeaned" by engaging in sex work for a living. A person is only demeaned when s/he personally feels so. I understand your point of view, I simply don't share it. Porn is almost exclusively male dominated (directors, producers, distributors), and a woman is forced to be exposed to sexually transmitted diseases because men love a c*m shot. STDs are more easily transferred man to woman, than woman to man, so the men apparently just don't care. Secondly, I don't know about the men, but women in porn tend to be sexual abuse victims and/or have addiction issues. Regarding a person is only demeaned when they feel they are demeaned. I could find a guy who'd let me collar him and make him crawl around on his hands and knees like a dog while I hold his leash. Just because he doesn't feel demeaned, doesn't mean I have not demeaned him. There will always be someone willing to treat you as badly as you feel you deserve, that doesn't justify that person's actions. 6 Link to comment
rubinia September 28, 2014 Share September 28, 2014 Meh, porn is a legal way to make a living, so more power to Jenna. I'm more offended by the fact that she seems intelligent and educated and yet continues to make horrible relationship decisions and won't get off the drugs. 4 Link to comment

fib September 29, 2014 Share September 29, 2014 (edited) You would think she would have gotten used to them while on The Bachelor. Im not sure they're as intrusive on the bachelor. There's very little footage of the bachelorettes when they aren't on a date with the 'star'. I think if you're in the 'mansion' and interacting with the other women, a camera will be around. If you're just by yourself, there's nothing to see, and probably no camera. So I can understand her lack of 'being used to it'. Edited September 29, 2014 by fib Link to comment
poeticlicensed September 29, 2014 Share September 29, 2014 My problem with the sex industry is that research has shown that past childhood sexual abuse is two to 3 times higher among the women who work in the sex industry. Women who are victimized as children are more likely to suffer many consequences later in life and I believe that the sex industry exploits those victims. The research also shown that drug abuse in the sex trade is much higher than in the general population. So what you have is a vulnerable population who are being exploited. Jenna may be all high and might about her empire and her choices, but my guess is that there is a sad history there. As someone once said in jest, the sex industry provides employment opportunities for incest victims. 3 Link to comment
FireFoxy September 30, 2014 Share September 30, 2014 I have to say I died laughing when Nikki said she isn't moving to Miami and that they are considering a move to LA. Miami IS the Latino Hollywood and JP is well known and liked there. Plus the Hispanic community is very tight knit and there is just something about that city that just pulls you in...And I should know since I am Hispanic AND lived in Miami and would love to go back one day. His family is there, his daughter is there. If Nikki truly believes he is going to move to LA with her she is even more delusional than I thought. 1 Link to comment
pasdetrois October 1, 2014 Share October 1, 2014 The porn industry uses people up in a very destructive way. I don't buy the spin that it empowers women, or that female porn actors use it to their benefit. When women use their sexuality to make a living, society doesn't really approve and women pay the price over time. (I assume this also true about some of the men.) Look at how Juan Pablo is smirking about Jenna; she faces a lifetime of that kind of reaction and disrespect. She's a mess and I lay some of the blame for that at the porn industry's feet. And any trauma she may have suffered in her life. 6 Link to comment

She dealt with a lot of tragedy; however, as messed up as it sounds, she became more stable while in the business. Helped that she had a great handler, though I forget her name. She did mention that going into the business, you have to make peace with the stares and reactions. It's definitely isn't for the faint of heart. Clearly, she seems to be using again, but I'm not so sure that it's due to her porn past, and more so to do with losing custody of her children. I have a soft spot in my heart for her, so I hope she can pull herself together. 1 Link to comment
