Wait, is that the Dino loving stripper guy from before?

I had to take a shallow dive, but "Showbiz Junkies" confirms that it is indeed "Dino-mite"!  (Nickname coined by me.)  There are a few pictures in addition to those embedded above, as well as info about the episode guest stars.

....all right, well, I certainly was not expecting THAT ending. Ohhhhhhhhh, damn.

Also, poor Jay. As if his restaurant didn't have enough chaos going on with it already. And poor Alicia, too, 'cause what a thing to have happen at your freaking bachelorette party.

On the note of Alicia, oh, what a great storyline. I loved Alberta trying to be all protective of Alicia as she was, and I liked the backstory behind why Alberta felt as strongly as she was about Alicai's fiance and her being with a musician. I LOVE that we got some flashbacks with her, and I loved Sam filling her in on what became of her fiance after she left him behind.

And then the whole plot with Jay and Trevor... I appreciate Trevor trying to help, and I know his heart was in the right place, but...yeah, not surprised that would blow up as it did. Though hey, we now have Mountains of the Valley, so...there's that XD?

So many hilarious one liners this episode, too. "This has Trevor's taint all over it" was a favorite, but I also loved this exchange:

"It may just be raining men."

"Hallelujah!"

And I loved Sasappis getting to play guitar and sing when he got into Alicia's dreams. And Alicia and Alberta getting to sing together again was beautiful, too - what a touching moment between them. They're just so great together.

OKAY! So. Yeah. Suffice to say I am VERY curious to see where they'll go with that ending...

Don't forget Hetty's "We're discussing his package" without having a clue as to what that really means.

I was glad Alberta was able to use her power--I can't remember the last time she has.  And it's always interesting when we get more back stories about one of the ghosts, which seems to be an overarching theme this season.  I hope Sass has his turn soon.

That New York subway car was spot on.  I'm pretty sure they didn't film that scene on location or have the MTA ship a car up to Montreal, so I'm assuming it was CGI, but it was so accurate I could tell from the interior which lines it could have been (certain models tend to be used on specific lines so the interiors aren't all the same throughout the entire transit system).

Definitely did not expect Chris to become a new ghost!  Isaac will be thrilled, though if Chris is straight, as I'm assuming he is, Isaac's lust will go unfulfilled.  I'll bet Deniz Akdeniz is glad his character didn't die at the end of his routine--if he had, he'd probably have been doomed to wear only a g-string or thong whenever he was in an episode!

The writers really shoehorn everybody they want to be a ghost in there, don’t they?  I thought becoming a ghost upon death was supposed to be rare, but it’s starting to look like Sam’s great aunt is the only person to die on the property and not stick around.

On the bright side, the hole in the roof will fit right in with the whole shabby chic exterior of the place.

I forgot, is there a reason Alberta’s niece recognized the humming and called its source ‘Alberta’ as if she had talked to Alberta before?

Isaac will be over the moon!  🤣  I love Nigel, but if he returns on the next episode,  ooooh boy!

Now that you've mentioned him, I did have the thought at the end of what might happen if Nigel (he of the high body count) starts lusting after him, too.  Plus Chris is Australian and Australia kept the king, so what's not to love?

It is a relief that stripper ghost won’t spend eternity (or however long he is around) naked or in a g string, but I can’t imagine that flight suit with parachute is going to be much fun for the actor. I always think about the ghost actors having to wear the same thing every week, and by that I mean the exact same thing. Especially Trevor who has to have his shirt exactly in place, since he’s supposed to be naked and so they can’t show even a glimpse of whatever the actor is actually wearing under there. This is the kind of thing I think about.

Right?? I haven't been to NYC in at least a decade, and I could totally recall how those seats feel. And the colors. Or is it possible the same seats are used elsewhere? Toronto? Chicago? Sacramento??

So. The stripper isn't gay, is he? But maybe he's bi?  Nevermind.

Assuming he's not going to stick around for too long, I wonder why he gets "sucked off"?

I had a crush on Chris the stripper in his previous episodes so I was embarrassed that I never recognized him (or lusted after him) on High Potential. Also I just discovered the actor is Australian, which I never would have guessed from his portrayal of Oz.

I loved this episode it's as good as The Work Retreat. I'm amazed how much plot they did in half an hour. Alberta and Trevor were trying to help but failed badly. I'm glad we learned more about Alberta's backstory and the scene with her and Alicia was very sweet. Isaac will have competition for Chris once Nancy and Carol see him. Flower was sober and I loved her teasing Sass the other ghosts make fun of her all the time.

Oh my god, poor stripper man escaped dying by allergic reaction last season just to die by parachute accident now!?

(And he's unlikely to be a regular, since the actor's already booked on ABC's High Potential.)

I shipped Isaac with Dino Dancer last season so I'm glad he's a ghost but bummed he's not going to be around forever because of his other job.

I didn't recognize him either on High Potential but it's because of the sexy body, Aussie accent and moustache on this show and none of that on the other.  I like him on High Potential but it's amazing the difference a role can make.

Good to know, because I want this latest ghost to be like Carol, someone we only see occasionally.

I was successful at keeping "It's Raining Men" out of my head until Isaac chimed in with "Hallelujah" and that was it -- the chorus played in my head on a loop.

Thor suddenly having onion-scented fingers people can smell over the wolf urine is rather stupid, as is Flower - who can't remember things she's been told repeatedly for years or even decades (including who Jay and now Isaac are) - suddenly fixated on being told one time months ago Sass is a virgin.

But, fundamentally, finally an Alberta episode -- she's had nothing to do all season but react to others.  Those reactions were hilarious, but I'm glad to see a little more from her.

I recall Chris mentioning last season that he was gay, and poor Isaac nearly falling over at this.

Maybe Chris will just be written in periodically when Ghosts wants an extra ratings boost? 😉

That was a great episode for me, until the ending. I'm sorry, I'm just tired of Jay getting the short end of the stick. Sure it's great for Isaac and maybe the other ghosts having someone new around, but we know this ghost isn't gonna become a regular. And now Jay's restaurant has a body count, after his staff got sick from the basement ghosts, Carol's mob family trying to turn it into a front for them, and the other chef in town taking business away from him. They give Jay a single win, and then toss in 5 losses. After four seasons, it's a stale joke for me. If they wanted Stripper Guy to be a ghost, they've could've killed him elsewhere but have him attached to a person that came to stay briefly.

I get that they wanted to go for shock value but shouldn't the writers be more creative than going back to the well of killing someone on the grounds? Or is it just supposed to be some running joke? What happened to 'the others' that Patience referenced at the beginning of the season? Why was it necessary to make a brand new ghost by killing someone at Jay's brand new restaurant?

Again, I'm sorry, I'm just really irritated with the writers screwing over Jay again. And I was enjoying the episode so much. As soon as Stripper Guy fell, all those good feelings went right out the window.

I get what you're saying, but on the optimistic side, his insurance should cover the repairs, and the publicity might just bring in curious patrons.  There will be many folks who'll want to see where the male stripper crashed through the roof! It's not the classiest way to advertise his "fine" restaurant, but it might just bring people in.

Exactly!  I'm already tired of her always talking about sex, and I especially hate that she keeps trying to educate Sass about it.  Just. Shut. Up. Flower.

Many NYC subway cars are built in Canada.

Yep. In fact, I remember one time the new cars came specifically from Montreal, but I haven’t been there for many years so I don’t know if they use the same models as New York in their subway.  If they do then maybe the show did use an actual car rather than CGI.

Even though Jay can't see the ghosts, he's gotten to know them and their antics.  I'm glad he was able to figure it out on his own (initially).  Trevor shouldn't have bragged about helping him, then nobody would've been the wiser!

So, Thor smells like wolf urine and onions?  Yuk!  😜

Yeah, Jay is written as the Darren to Sam's Samantha of the OG Bewitched series of the 1960s, but Darren's sufferings seemed like righteous retribution due to his intrinsic misogyny and prejudice, whereas Jay is none of that and also a person of color in the US.
That said, the writers of Ghosts do give Jay a lot of smarts, insight, and talent, like his immediately recognizing Trevor's linguistic mindset in "breastaurant."

The deaths seem like a natural trope for a show about ghosts.
But at this point, maybe Jay will capitalize on it by leaning into a ghost theme, and enlisting the ghosts to use their powers towards that end.

Well, you don't really need to be a Sherlock Holmes there.  Trevor pitched the idea to Jay personally and used the word 'breastaurant' when Jay was able to see the ghosts.

I guess Chris the Stripper was right, the bride seeing the stripper before the Bachelorette party really is bad luck...

That was a great episode, I loved getting an Alberta episode and seeing her alive in her flashbacks. Its a nice twist that she was actually the untrustworthy musician and not her fiancé and I'm glad that her descendant's fiancé is a good guy. Lets not get creepy Todd in here, that cannot be our best option! Nice use of Alberta's ghost power, I got some real chills when she and Alicia started to sing together.

I still can't believe that Chris the Dino Stripper is also sweet Oz from High Potential, dude has got serious range. I am so ready for Nigel and Chris to start having a thing, Isaac would die all over again.

Poor Jay really cannot get a win, he gets a great review and then someone literally drops dead in his apartment. Trevor was trying to do something nice but of course it has the taint of Trevor all over it. It was fun to see Charles from Brooklyn Nine Nine show up as the food critic, especially as Charles is such a foodie, although we all know that Charles would never take a bribe for a food review.

The last time I remember her using her ghost power was to scare away Freddie (the short-lived assistant with the car ghost).

This was a pretty neat episode, I always get a kick out of the flashbacks when we can see the ghosts as they were in life (and wearing different clothes) and I really, really enjoyed seeing Sass in Alicia's dream. I want to know if that was really Román playing guitar.

I knew it would turn out the fiancé wasn't cheating but basic misunderstandings are pretty much a sitcom staple. And now I want to see an episode of "Night Sugar." It's a cross between Succession and Willy Wonka!

Can't wait to see what happens with the new ghost. Was not expecting that.
