Ted will probably end up not being Eva's father, but watching Ted interact with her yesterday, I had the thought: What if Ted eventually starts to be attracted to her and one day makes a pass at her, forcing Eva to blurt out that she's his daughter? I don't know if it's just Maurice's acting, but Ted to me has been coming off a bit skeevy in his scenes with Eva.

BTW, was Laura's relationship to anyone ever established before the accident? She is connected to Mona somehow, right?

Leslie is delusional but I did laugh when they cut to her rolling her eyes when Anita was talking about how great the Dupree's are. Dani also made me laugh when she made the crack about keeping things in the family. With Andre she definitely is lol.

I am glad Bill and Hayley went on the honeymoon because it got Bill offscreen for another episode. 

I like Eva the actress is very pretty.

Sigh so now Martin is telling people Smitty is not available for work. Is that his new plan to try and stop him from working. Smitty could easily find out that happened if he ever bumps into that guy. What an idiot.

Make a Soap Soapier with a more interesting "Twist": What if Nicole, Ted and Eva take a photo together at the Gala and the newspaper prints the photo with the caption "Nicole, Ted and their beautiful daughter Kat Richardson". Kat sees the photo and that Eva is wearing her dress, and gets really mad and forces the paper to print a retraction that somehow describes Eva in a very negative way, like saying that Eva is a homeless person that their family took pity on.

I'm beginning to think Martin views this marriage as more of a business arrangement with benefits. He doesn't respect Smitty, at all. I don't feel any love from Martin towards Smitty and Martin is actively thwarting his dreams. I'm so intrigued by whatever Martin's secret. It's so big that Vernon was like slow your roll on your presidential dreams.

I thought Leslie was determined to just destroy Ted but she just wants to bust up Ted & Nicole so she can take Nicole's place. And Eva's little fantasy about being welcomed into the family is exactly why she told the manager to fire Leslie. Someone on tiktok has been posting Kendall revealing herself to be Erica Kane's daughter on All My Children and I can't wait to see how this reveal will go compared to that. Or  Carly revealing herself to Bobbie on General Hospital.

Anita looked amazing today. Best outfit I've seen her in so far.

It's one step forward 100 steps back with them.  But I did like that a lot was clarified in this episode.  Martin is definitely, 100% a jerk.  We knew before but his actively sabotaging his husband's career aspirations was downright evil.  I wasn't sure if he knew what his secret was but after his conversation with Vernon, it's clear that he does.

I can't wait until Smitty exposes him.

YES!  I noticed that from their very first scenes together.  It was supposed to be Eva surprised at meeting her dad but the vibe was not that.  And the dream sequence today made it stand out even more. 

One thing that annoyed me was the fact that Nicole said Eva should come to the event because she did so much of the planning.  If this is an event to give an award TO Nicole, why would her assistant be doing the planning?  Shouldn't the committee handing out the award be doing the work?

On my personal 'Ugh!' meter for the day, Martin retains the top spot.  Why are you sabotaging your husband so? And yes, I agree he is afraid Smitty will find out his secret.

Hell, at this point, I am expecting Leslie to discover his secret.  Somebody.  This is gonna come out (hopefully) in the worst way and time. 

I really want Dani to be stronger than this, but I can't lie -- I have known too many people to stalk and ex's social even if they aren't still into them. Some of it might come from a little wish to see if they are struggling or aren't doing as well without you but  some of it might come from simple nosiness.  So I can't fault her too much.

I am loving the Eva/Leslie stuff.  Leslie is just such a perfect soap villainess.  She really is.  But they are doing a really good job with having Eva straddle a line.  All she wants is to become part of the family.  She is not trying to blow up anything. And she is willing to turn  some of Leslie's tactics back on her to get her goal.  I am here for the mess!

There is literally no reason for Kat to be missing Nicole's big night except that is serves future plot somehow.  And it probably has to do with her finding out Eva wore her dress.  And that will spiral out to there being some sort of family drama about Kat being mean to poor Eva.

Ages behind again but we need a fashion thread. Ted looks awful with the turtlenecks and Tuesday's ep with the light blue sweater under a light gray blazer? Just no. Every time he comes onscreen his outfit distracts me and all I can think is he looks like a pompous tool. Maybe it's deliberate lol.

Poor Nicole being shoved aside at her own news interview. I would've been pissed. I like her, but she is starting to come across as too perfect.

I'm still figuring out who I like/don't like. Vernon is irritating with the constant managing/spinning. 

Bill is pure trash though. Forget about the affair- using his daughter's video to get Danny arrested and then taunting them at the police station? There is one parent in that sitch that cares about their children and it ain't him. He did not care one iota that Chelsea would feel guilty.

There are so many stunningly beautiful women on this show. I think that's partly why I'm more into the fashion than I normally am.

Dani just looks more pathetic every day. This woman is in desperate need of some serious therapy. I get feeling betrayed but enough is enough. Three weeks in and I’m bored with her antics. and George the security guard is an idiot. Probably has a crush on Dani, which she definitely used to her advantage. 

Speaking of bored, can they please recast Derek with someone who can act? Or at least has more than one facial expression? I mean, they could write him out completely and I wouldn’t miss him but if they’re intent on keeping the character, it would help if the man could act.

so Kat is a virgin? Good for her for not just having sex for the sake of doing it. Tomas is definitely intrigued and wants to be her first. He’s cute and I liked them together but time will tell if he’s worthy of her.

Kat and Tomas could have potential. This is the first pairing we are seeing from the start. So that's cool.

I'm tired of Bill/Dani/Hayley. They really have eaten up the first 3 weeks of the show. I know it's the A plot but we need a bit more of a break. Dani is fun but the desperation for Bill makes her pathetic. Hayley is still too goody goody for me.

I couldn't stop laughing during his nightmare where he was just staring blankly at Ashley and Andre. There was nothing happening behind those eyes. He's bringing down this "triangle".

Dani is so pathetic. I get the pain, the anger, but girl, you are done. When she didn't stay for the dinner, I got worried that she was going to stalk Bill and Hayley all the way to Italy. But getting drunk in their house feels all kinds of worse for some reason. She needs to stop with this, see a shrink for sure.

Derek and Ashley bland, boring. Derek has no spark, it's like watching a dead fish.

Bill and Haley are boring, that's probably why they need Dani acting like a complete lunatic. Looking forward to them not being in that googly eyes, honeymoon phase.

Had to look him up because I’d never heard of him. He is NOT new to acting but I don’t see anything noteworthy. He made his debut in JJ Abrams Super 8 and also was in The Dark Tower. I’ve never even heard of either, nor have I heard of his other projects. His IMDB bio lists him as ‘award winning’ but doesn’t specify what award or when. The only thing I’d nominate him for is block of wood. And I’m not even sure he’d win that!

Considering how Derek seems to be an important supporting role they should have hired a soap veteran for the role. Someone who has a bit more experience.

Soap Twitter has been loving this show so I was pleasantly surprised when they even were saying how annoyed they are at Dani for breaking in and getting drunk at Bill's house.

For me it was just a step too far too soon. Dani just got off the charges for the gun incident at the wedding. She told Hayley and her family that she was done and leaving them in the past. Maybe if it was a few months later in reaction to something Bill or Hayley did, I'd be ok with her breaking in. But right now they have me questioning if I'm supposed to be rooting for Dani or not (I am lol) but on the outside looking in, she looks obsessed and not in a cute way.

Leslie is obsessed with Ted and Nicole but she's clearly being painted as a villain but Dani is the hero so she needs to slow down a little on this stuff with Bill and Hayley.

Basically she should have only done this after some move by Bill. Them being happy on their honeymoon wasn't enough of a reason for me.

True, but IMO the other 'greener' actors are at least showing some range in their expressions. Derek's blank stare doesn't seem to have left his face since the show debuted. To be fair, they haven't given him too much to do yet. I hope he gets some beefier scenes outside of Ashley and Andre.

I'm ashamed it took me until the end of week 3 to realize the scheming young woman with a hidden agenda, ingratiating herself to everybody, is named Eva.

I'm sick of Martin. Free Smitty, and those kids.

Dani is a full mess. I was starting to roll my eyes at Mother Dupree and her attitude toward Dani, but I guess she's right. She was wild for breaking in Bill's house, but I was hoping for her to spill some of that "92" on that hideous sofa.

I don't know why Martin would assume that's what Smitty would investigate.  I just think he doesn't want him working.  I do think Smitty will figure it out, though.

I kind of like that Dani is straight up crazy but I agree about that plot needing a break.  We can't keep up with this every other day pattern where one day Dani is over Bill and the next day she's doing something psycho to Bill.

They are two very pretty people who look pretty together!  I agree they need a little something though. But I wonder if this is the start of building the  foundation to create a super couple?  Something will happen to pull them apart, make them long for each other, misunderstandings, a scheming woman getting between them... maybe Eva? I'll bet it won't be smooth sailing. But for now I am liking them though. I agree it is nice to see the start of a new romance. Their date was really cute, I liked their banter.

As much I love crazy Dani, I do need her to step back and get some sense.  It is getting pathetic now, not fun.  George is most definitely an idiot, but I can't lie I loved his little scene with Dani.  It was funny watching him trying to not say 'wedding' and 'honeymoon.'

Speaking of, I am howling that poor Hayley probably only got to step foot in the airport in Italy before having to turn back around.  Bill does not care about this woman. He wanted someone who needs to depend on him.  I hate him.

The problem w/Derek and Ashley is they have no chemistry and Derek cannot act! I haven't thought much of him but this past week sealed it for me. I binged the entire week yesterday, and the scene w/the woman he rescued and the nightmare told me I was not wrong! The only thing this actor can portray semi-ok is jealousy. Everything else is a blank, wooden stare like y'all said. He didn't even smile at the cat!!! He looked at the woman like she was an alien. There's just nothing there. I was on another board and someone suggested replacing him w/Scott Clifton who B&B is currently wasting. I agree. I am not trying to be mean but I cannot believe he was the best person they auditioned for this role. 

IMO, the Martin actor isn't that good either but he's better than the dude playing Derek. 

Speaking of Martin - he remains a complete ass! He told Smitty he could take one job - ugh . . . I still don't know why Smitty puts up w/him . . . but then he sabotaged that opportunity. I hate Martin. I honestly keep waiting for him to pop Smitty in the mouth. He's such an ass. They have to explain to us why Smitty stays w/him. 

I also agree w/y'all about being tired of the Dani/Bill/Hayley plot already. I still love the show but think it would benefit from some more key families. Mix it up some more.

I think they should replace Derek with Greg Vaughan. I know he commutes from Texas and Atlanta is a lot closer than Los Angeles. I think he was taken off contract again at Days…..I think. They do that to save money. That’s why Billy Flynn said, I’m outta here. He was always on contract but he was sick of their insane tape schedule. Just sayin…..

The move was him having her arrested and taunting her at the station. Dani sees that as Bill still obsessing about her (he is). Because if he was so in love with Hayley, he wouldn't have time to think about what Dani is doing.

Getting in some comments on Friday before today's episode starts:

Dani really is coming off as pathetic by getting drunk in Bill and Hayley's house.  At the same time, it seems like any time she seems ready to move past Bill, he does something to pull her back.

Kat and Tomas were cute.  Though I was surprised by Kat being a virgin.

After actually seeing Derek's nightmare, I'm starting to agree with what people are saying.  Ben Gavin just doesn't have the gravitas for this show.  I'm still basically okay with Derek, but Ben needs an acting choice.  Or he just needs to be recast.

That's really all that I remember from Friday, so I'll leave things like that just a minute before today's starts.

So Eva is Nicole's assistant at home, too?  And Nicole wants to find Sherry/Leslie?  Really?  And Ted is nervous about her finding her.  Nicole at least realizes that there was a reason that she was at the gala, but Ted wants her to drop the search for her.  He should just tell Nicole the truth.

So Dani wakes up with a hangover and with huge regrets over getting drunk in Bill and Hayley's house.  And she calls Pamela over to help her get cleaned up before they get home.  Yet she mainly fears Anita's anger, not Bill's?  And Dani got a bit slow on the cleanup because she thought that Bill and Hayley were still in Italy, not knowing that they were coming home early!  But still, they manage to finish in time.

But even with the cleanup efforts, Bill and Hayley still figured out that Dani had been there.  And that leads to a faceoff between Dani and Hayley.  And it's definitely clear that Hayley is done kowtowing to Dani.

So Tyrell and Samantha can't date at Martin and Smitty's insistence?  That's a little strict.  But what's Tyrell actually hiding from his fathers?

So Andre knew Ashley long before she met Derek?  Interesting.  And Nicole wisely advises Andre against pursuing Ashley, which is true.  Until Ashley starts thinking about Andre herself, she has no feelings for him whatsoever.  But until then . . . Andre gets more sexy time with Dani.

Kind of a sedate episode, but still decent.

Greg Vaughan is about 50 years old.  I think Derek is supposed to be early 30s like Ashley, Naomi and Jacob. 

He'd be better off being a new character.  I think he could be hot with Dani so bring it on.

I am ready for Smitty to start figure things out.  He's certainly clocking the people who have secrets but I'm ready for him to find out what they are.

Martin seems like a hands-off type of parent, based on how Tyrell and Samantha seem more at ease interacting with Smitty.

I think Andre's attraction to Ashley stems from the thrill of the chase. Once he "got" her, he would become bored after a while.

Derek/Ashley sexytimes...still meh.

Ted was sweating bullets about Nicole trying to follow-up about Sherri. Lucky for him that Eva slow-footed everything, though for different reasons.

Hayley has quite the eye for detail LOL. Sussed things out real quick.

Tickled me that Dani and Andre's booty call turned into a cuddle session instead because his heart (among other things) wasn't in it.

When I see Cady McClain I’m like, She should be a lead not supporting. LOL!!!! Of course, a job is a job. That said, I think she’s only aired 3 times so there is time to grow. I remember her from AMC (from back in the day) and she was great as Rosanna on ATWT.

Dani is a mess and I don’t see her getting over Bill and his new wife, Hayley anytime soon. You just know Hayley is gonna get pregnant and Dani will be forced to push her down the stairs in front of everyone. It’s Soap 101. LOL!!!!

At what age is Samantha allowed to date? She is 16 already. They didn't seem to specify. I understand keeping an age limit but 16 is a reasonable age to start. Telling her she can't date boys because they know how boys think will not last forever. You don't want the girl to rebel. I'm thinking Tyrell is being bullied I don't know what else it could be. 

I don't care at all about Derek or Ashley. I agree Andre is only interested because he can't have her. 

I'm tired of Beyond the Dani though. I need a full week break from the Dani/Bill/Hayley drama.

Hayley is very sharp and observant.  She's not as stupid as everyone thinks she is and she waited until after she got the ring to drop the cutesy innocent act.
