I think the Shawn and Aliyah thing was staged. She didn't know where she placed her tooth brush after she used it? She didn't bring her own toothbrush cover? That didn't make sense to me. I think they just used that as a lead up for the HIV test. You don't need to go to a pharmacy for a toothbrush. 

I'm smelling fake with them.

Sarper has quite the personality. He's funny. 

Megin and Jessica make no sense to me. I'm from a small town too, but this is extra oversight. Maybe Megin doesn't like Juan because he doesn't pay any attention to her, and this is her way of getting his attention?

Sorry I'm late responding. We went out to dinner last night with friends to a popular restaurant. We couldn't get a reservation until 8:00 PM! I recorded the show to watch later, after I read the comments here.

I have two Saatva mattresses but I bought them both because I hate the process of trying them out in stores. I like mine but I'm not sure they're the absolutely best choice I could have made. They do have a great return policy if you're unhappy after you get it and I also scored huge Rakuten points with the purchase.

The Grifting Couple are still at it! It's crazy how much people send them from their Amazon Wish Lists. They post "unboxing" videos of the loot but don't mention the senders by name so they can sell the duplicates and have financed their home renovations with the proceeds.

Yes, Martini Pat was Mark's neighbor in NH, then they flew to Bald Head Island, NC, (Mark is originally from NC and his brother still lives there) for the family reunion. We also saw Mark with Jordan in Florida but I think that was before Mina's arrival.

This was me in middle school. My BFF found herself a boyfriend and I was terribly upset because i was worried about losing my bestie, plus i was jealous. But i was 13 years old.

Looking at the stats of genital reconstruction surgery, it's super low. Like less than 5%. If Shawn is worried about Aaliayh getting "rid" of her penis, likely won't happen. 

Also, Aaliayh looks and sounds exactly the same, only she is now wearing a wig. I don't think she is on hormones. The plastic surgeon said that shaving her brow bone is pretty much not going to happen and not a safe procedure. I don't think Shawn has anything to worry about. I don't think she wants breast implants.

Which is it?  Whoever writes the scripts for this show has a problem with continuity.

I'm thinking he just doesn't know what he would do & switches between the 2 options rather than it being a scripted continuity thing. Having been in the same situation there were times that I thought I would go home to the U.K. if I ended up single & times that I thought I would stay and switched between the 2 depending on what sort of day I was having. Moving countries is a HUGE adjustment even for someone from the U.K. where a lot is similar, never mind Iran where everything is like another planet. I'm sure he changes his mind every hour, never mind every week.

After my divorce I stayed & met someone else but even now over 20 years later I still wonder what I would do if it happened again. Maybe my script writer has a continuity problem, I know my brain does sometimes.

Unless you've been in that exact situation it's very hard to understand how your mind would work, never mind someone else's and I for one feel for the guy or any of them as I'm sure they all struggle with home sickness & fear of the unknown. I can't imagine what I would have done had I been in Sarper's situation because I sure as hell couldn't live like that.

Finally watching this episode with no interruptions!

Shekki insists on stepping on all of Sarper's attempts at humor, have you noticed? "I'll be civilized at the dinner table but will go caveman in our bed!" "Oh, Sarper, okay, you'll act like a caveman when we're in the bedroom planning to make love, that's fine." Shekki, we got it. You don't have to repeat and interpret Sarper's little jokes for the viewing audience. We get them. I know she doesn't have any sense of humor, but I also think she's dumb too. Like she has to repeat everything in order to process them in stupid time.

Armani, if you want to receive all the attention from your hot Latina girlfriend, divorce your boring husband and jump into the lady pool fulltime. Your milquetoast husband clearly wants to mate vigorously with the hot babe you picked out from the brothel. Find your own woman that you don't have to share!

Yes, Mark, Mina feels like you're all ganging up on her because you are all ganging up on her. I do not like the graceless French woman, but it's perfectly obvious that your family doesn't like her at all. And she is the mother of your baby, who you are perfectly happy to ignore for long periods of time, so you owe her respect and protection. Who is the other Black woman in the family group? She doesn't deserve an introduction? Mark's mom seems kind, but who knows? Maybe she's a snake too.

Maxwell gets a canine cam! Where does Aaliyah normally keep her toothbrush? In a hermetically sealed safe? She would drive me crazy, frankly. Why is there a plain white wall in a drugstore? No signs? No shelves? Don't retailers have to maximize their square footage, so an empty wall doesn't help profit margins. Shawn, it's obvious you are not happy with this new life of yours. And you know Aaliyah is going to expect you to pay for her transition surgery and you won't want to. Stop the madness and send her home to Brazil to try again.

As a Procter and Gamble shareholder, thank you for buying Tide. I try to buy a P&G product every chance I get, but not Tide. I buy the biggest, cheapest laundry detergent in the store. Yes to all the other products mentioned.

It's no mystery to anyone who pays the least bit of attention to international news that nudity, alcohol, and women's hair are forbidden in Iran. I just can't with this woman.
