David says he did not have the time to change into something nicer before their date. Ok fine. But he couldn't at least show up without the front/side pony pouf for once??

Omg. Ikechi is an absolute ***********. Emem needs to be done with this emotional abuser NOW!

Wait. Primetimer doesn't allow curse words anymore?? 😂 Never had my words censored until this post (where I spelled out P.O.S.)

Agree on Ikechi.

I don't always like Michelle but I did love her yellow dress. It looks amazing on her.

Such a gem of a man, unlike that man baby clown Ikechi.

I think Madison knows that she should be into Allen and she just isn't. I was thinking tonight that either Emem or Michelle would be a good match for him except that I think he wants kids and they maybe don't? (I recall Michelle being sort of on the fence and I can't remember about Emem at all).

In a totally random thought, I had a mammogram recently so I have them on the brain. I cannot imagine how painful they are for Karla; she literally has nothing for them to squish on those glass plates!

I think Allen deserves someone way warmer/kinder than Michelle.

I like both Allen and Emem individually, but cannot see them as a romantic match. She wants a black man (probably for both physical and cultural reasons) and I know Allen has expressed having a preference for white women (he said so in the Matchmaking Special and also mentioned on one of the Afterparties that he's only been in relationships with European women). I really liked how he spoke up for her at the dinner, though, instead of just being all about the bro code. Because Ikechi was acting like such a disrespectful fool and deserved to be called out. David also impressed me this episode for having Emem's back, too.

Well this was quite an evening!  I missed them so much.

I keep thinking "be careful what you wish for because it might come true" and here we are!

David and Allen both got uptown girls.  Its tough trying to move into that neighborhood.

Carla and Juan...he wants someone that can support him while he builds his empire...speaking of which what exactly does he do?  His 'workshop' looked like it was loaded with Carla type folks all dreaming and saging!

Juan was kind of impressed with her coming up adventure in New York.

Did anybody watch the half way mark show after the show tonight?

Looks like things are a buzzing.

Juan was sooo skeptical of Karla's supposed opportunity in NY, I was laughing during that whole sequence. It also seems clear to me that she got fired. She's seems fine with it and probably didn't want to be there anymore anyway, but still, that's totally what happened.

This is where I'm at. Ikechi clearly looked worse in this episode, but I don't think Emem is all that either.

So, here I was thinking that I couldn't think/care less about some of these contestants when here they go proving me wrong!  Emem got right to the heart of Ike's issue-he didn't want someone well educated and a strong sense of accomplishment and self.  He wanted someone, IMO, who he could easily control.  He tried so hard this eisode to totally control Emem (and, unfortunately, he was able to control her emotions/actions a bit) and tried to control the entire group.  When unsuccessful he just left (and gave a whole lot of word salad about 'peace' while at the same entire time trying to ruin the peace of others.  So glad that Emem told the group that this was the second time he applied to the show-I think that shows a lot about him and his intention to be famous.

Oh, and Karla?  So glad that Juan isn't buying her story of going to NYC for work.  No date, no set rate, no idea of anything involved in that story.  She did, at least, admit that her leaving her job was 'mutual' so pretty much she was fired IMO.  If he is doing cabinetry, then he does work hard so he really wants a spouse who is also willing to work hard.

Madison really sees herself as more than Allen.  I think that as a couple they look good together (except for whatever necklace that was that she was wearing).  However, she really doesn't want to be with him, but seems to understand the t.v. optics so hangs out with him and says the 'right' things.  Very telling that if she won the tennis match she wanted to humiliate him (run around like a chicken, etc.) whereas he wanted a kiss.

Michelle continually claims that David doesn't ask her questions, but it seems like in every episode he is asking questions and she barely answers.

The previews look crazy!

My thoughts: Madison is trying a little but she isn’t attracted to Allen and that won’t change. I’m not sure most of these people were honest about what they wanted in a spouse. She wants a handsome gym rat who dresses well . Allen wanted someone attractive but doesn’t seem as picky or overly demanding.

Michelle isn’t a bad person for not being attracted to David but she is a bad person for being rude and condescending.  I like Thomas a lot and I did like Camille but she is constantly finding fault with him and he is always apologizing and trying to do better. It seemed obvious that he was late because he was doing something for their anniversary but she was still annoyed. It bugged me that she didn’t wear the special necklace he bought her to the dinner later.

Ikechi doesn’t seem like he wants a relationship and it is humiliating to accuse a woman of being sexually inappropriate. They are a married couple and it should be ok to initiate something as long as you stop if your partner says no. I have felt for awhile that more is going on with these two than what we know and I hope she doesn’t give him another chance.

I don’t like Juan or Karla. She seems like she is stoned half the time and is looking for financial support while she figures out what new age thing she will try next. Juan is cold and aloof and thinks he’s all that despite his huge bald spot in the back ( my husband is bald and I have nothing against that). I can’t picture him being affectionate or going out of his way for a spouse.

I can now see why these women are not married at this age for many reasons.  Production did a bad job.  Maybe they wanted lots of drama.

“I can’t be managed” and “I’d say it was mutual” = fired. If she’d quit, she’d have said she’d quit. She’s a pain in the ass and her manager had enough. Fired. Juan wasn’t buying it either. I think he’s baseline nice to her because he’s a decent guy, but they’re done on decision day. They look great together but that’s about it.

Madison has big features so the dark makeup she favors for nights out/special occasions doesn’t flatter her. It makes her already heavy features even heavier.

Ikechi is really horrible. The way he speaks to and about Emem is awful. He’s so slimy. He hides behind all this word salad of peace and whatnot, but he treats Emem like shit and showed up to that dinner purely to cause drama. He is FORTY-ONE. He’s way too old for this shit.

I fell asleep off and on during the show, but probably won't rewatch, since I think I have seen enough. First of all, I still dislike ALL of the women. I just want to slap that condescending smirk off of Michelle's face. When she speaks with David, her responses are limited to one-syllable words. No wonder her has stopped trying to ask her questions! Neither she nor Madison are as attractive as they think they are. Madison is still a party girl and is not ready to be married. Michelle may be ready, but she will never find anyone who meets her requirements.

I still feel bad for David and wish he had more affection in his life. I really don't know what he does, but he was in a lose/lose situation with her and dinner. If he went home to change, he would have been even later. Yes, he could have brought clothes with him, but he didn't. The sexting stuff looks interesting. I wonder who he texted. And, if that was the language he used, I don't think they are just texting.

Ick and Emem need to go away. I guess I understand that she really wants to be married and wanted this to work, but, seriously? She doesn't/can't actually like him or being with him for any amount of time. She always has that smirk, too, and those stupid eyelashes make it hard to take her seriously. She is obviously smart, motivated, and successful, and doesn't NEED him for anything. Why would she continue to subject herself (and us) to their ridiculous conversations where he just talks at her. They need to go away. I was glad to see him leave, although it should have been HER, but I see. he is back in the previews.

Allen deserves far better than that silly Madison. She was thrilled to throw it in his face that he was "too vague" about the kiss bet. She constantly humiliates him, and he is so sure that she is beautiful and amazing that he is being made a fool of and doesn't care. I go back and forth between which blonde I dislike the most.

Juan is actually smarter than I gave him credit for. He saw Karla right away for what she was and is not impressed by her physically. I did love how he asked just a few simple and basic questions as to what her business plan was, and she had no idea. There is no way that she is an entrepreneur. She needs a whole lot more money to be able to afford to do her lifestyle. I loved it when he asked her what direction she was going in and she looked so puzzled and just said, "I AM the direction." WTH does that mean???? I hope they haven't merged bank accounts for the next 30 days.

I actually like all of the men, except for the Ick man. They are too kind to their spouses and I think will all end up disappointed. Tom will never please Camille, as much as he is letting her change him. David is already disappointed and totally out of it, so I don't mind the extra-curricular activity, which is very unlike me. She gives him nothing, and he knows that this is a meaningless "marriage" and he sure has tried more than anyone else and always seems to be ready to try whatever she throws at him, but they both know. I am sure that D Day can't come soon enough for him. Or us.

I did see part of the stupid panel show with Kevin Frazier. Waste of time. Our predictions and comments here are way more entertaining.

Just watched the Journey so Far special and actually enjoyed it.  This time they all pretty much said what was really happening with the couples versus trying to justify the matches.  One of the best episodes of this type of show I've seen.  They did include some sneak preview scenes and there will be some interesting episodes coming up.  I agreed with pretty much everything they said which is a first for me.

He is so manipulative and disgusting. He called Emem a "that" instead of saying he refused to six next to "HER." He also made it a point to stick around until Emem came back from the bathroom, just so he could make his dramatic exit in front of her.

Also notice how when he got into it with a man (Allen) he apologized and said he "understands his inquisitive nature." Whereas with his wife he shuts down and calls her "aggressive" every time she asks a simple question. Where is the appreciation for her inquisitive nature?

David really got Michelle when he told her her answers were lame...yes, ok!

Then she didn't react at all to his discussion because all she was used to saying was yes, ok!

David looked good in calling her out!

Who do you think David is interested in?  I'm guessing Carla!  She wouldn't care if he lived in a basement!  She would just sage it!  Lol

I think Madison is sticking around hoping for a connection to develope because I think Allen has $$$.

Karla seems like she expects men to support her (I suspect she has family money), so I don’t think David’s lifestyle would work for her any more than it does for Michelle.

He was okay with Camille when she pressed him, so I think it’s just Emem he hates - and he really seems to hate her.

I think David's connection will be with Madison as I think (not sure) that at the beginning he said he likes blondes and they both go to the gym at the same time (I think).  I think Allen's body is better than Madison is giving him credit for but she seemed to like David's body earlier in the season.

I think Allen has money but that the others aren't aware of that-so I think Michelle would be interested in him.

Yes.  Something is going on between these two, and I don't think we know the whole story.

However, regardless of what's happening off camera, he acts like an ass.

I don't like to watch her because she acts too jittery, and constantly fluttering those false eyelashes is annoying to look at.

It appears this early only one couple has a chance of remaining Camille and Thomas and that could change.

David and Michelle must know one or both is going to bolt for the door. If Michelle is trying see the possibilities she is hiding it well. I see some hope that she realizes she is the problem. She claimed she'd marry someone sight unseen and she didn't. Clearly there is nothing he can do to make her love him or want to stay married. He is forever stained.

Madison and Allen still give me the creeps. I wish he would stop dropping hints to find her level of commitment. Its apparent no intimacy is taking place. Not even hugs or kisses that I recall.

Obviously one marriage is down for the count. Although Ikechi is a jerk I think his complaint has merit. She dropped in hot and heavy like they were instantly madly in love. He may have well felt suffocated. She was aggressive which she keeps acting offended about.

Juan and Karla appear to be two boats tied together by a flimsy rope. He should strike soon I suspect he's going to be bald before too long.

I don't think Michelle has quite made it to Madison's neck of the woods. She's not wealthy or glamorous. Madison will elect to end the marriage. Probably through a bunch of crocodile tears claiming it will hurt her more than him and he is really such a good guy as she twists the knife in his heart.

So, Ike apparently doesn’t like aggressive women it seems.  Was she hot to trot on her wedding night that turned him off?  Some men would be delighted to have a hot wife right off the bat.  Some, not so much.  That isn’t the reason he was turned off.  I think she was too intelligent for him, and he wants to be top dog.  What an asshole he was.  To boot, that’s the second time they picked him.  Shame on the show.  Now, the girl is brokenhearted and won’t trust anyone for a long time.

It sounds like he started the physical contact and she went with the flow. Even if she did make an advance he didn't want, there were much better ways he could have told her and he has behaved badly ever since the honeymoon. I can't stand him.

I think that Madison might make more more money than Michelle, but I don't think either of them are glamorous. I think Michelle is consistently better looking and better dressed than Madison.

She did marry David, exactly as she promised. She also closed her mind to him almost instantly but I don't think it was based on his looks. She will never get over him living in his parents' basement.

David is getting on my nerves.  The guy is trying too hard.  Can’t he see she’s not interested?  Why is he still trying to make her interested in him.  He should tell her to fuck off.  She’s treating him like garbage and he’s taking it.  He pathetic already.  The only way he will find someone is to cut that mop and buy some new clothes that are appropriate for dating.  Those t-shirts have to go unless he’s gardening or going for a workout at the gym.

I just have an idea David is playing with her.  He did try In the beginning but I think he soon saw the light and decided to game it out!

Maybe we haven't seen the whole story, but it seems as if Ikechi and Emem got through their honeymoon okay, but once he saw her lovely apartment, he flipped the passive-aggressive switch on and never looked back. Look at how he spent their anniversary picnic giving stank-face to everything. And even his compliments sounded sarcastic: "This is well put together, well thought out." What does that even mean?

Then Ikechi goes Full Asshole. Emem can grate, and I could see how her questioning might feel exhausting, (even though I would have the same follow-up questions) but she doesn't deserve Ikechi's bad faith drama and posturing. She also doesn't deserve to be humiliated in front of others.

I feel like Juan would be better as Karla's life coach than her husband. They're proof that being attractive is just part of feeling a romantic connection. Had to laugh at the producer asking Karla to describe Juan's business. That was Karla's most likeable moment this season: ”He has his laptop . . . he types like Thriller . . . skateboards . . . so many strengths!” Unfortunately, it was immediately followed by the can't-be-managed nonsense. Karla needs a reality check.

So this was being shot on September of 2023 right? I saw the date on Emem's texts to Ike.

David is either a very kind, gentle man or an amazing actor. His patience, his willing to try, is extraordinary. I would have become violent with her from day 2 with this shitty behavior.

Madison, you're not fooling anyone. We all know you are counting the days to abandon poor Allen and go on partying with your girlfriends and the macho guys you are into. When you realize what you had (Allen) 10 years from now, it will be late.

It's obvious who wears the pants between Thomas and Camille.

Karla came to this show determined to play the persona of this crazy, out there, little paranoid woman who has no worries and she completely turned it off after Juan's behavior of not caring for her. We now see her of who she truly is, an ugly, void, stupid woman who has no personality.

She’s being emotionally abused before our eyes. The show should step in. He is beating her with words and tone. She is not fighting back and it’s hard to watch him emotionally damage her.  Very similar to throwing fists.

Actually, this is the second time he has tried out for the show, which is interesting to begin with. Then he actually moved himself to Chicago to try again. If he wasn't selected the first time, the fact that he moved and auditioned again shows how desperate both Ick and the show are.

I don't like how Camille treats Tom. She is trying to change him completely and not make any changes or compromises to herself or her expectations. He is obviously way more smitten than she is, and I hope he gets over it soon. He needs to find someone who likes him for himself. He isn't "swag" enough and never will be. (And she sure isn't, either, if that makes a difference.)

I think the show was hoping for Karla and Juan to be fun and quirky like Bennet and Amelia from the New Orleans season.   But Juan is not the guy for that.

You are right, Juan is neither fun nor quirky. While a man has every right to be concerned when his wife quits her job, his questioning her was a bit cringey. I was thinking, why does he care? Oh right, the cameras.
I also have to wonder why Michelle and David are bothering to go out together. I think what he was wearing at their dinner wouldn’t have been so bad if he didn’t have that awful pouffy pom pom on the front of his head. At this point if he truly wants a chance with her, he could cut his hair and do some grooming. She may be a little nicer for awhile but I see her as a type that will always find something to criticize.
Madison only likes Allen as a friend with no benefits. She’s made it clear.
Ikechi walked so the rest of you can run!

When someone is that indignant, they don’t realize that they’re the one in the wrong. We don’t see this sexual and verbal abuse that she’s allegedly perpetrating on him. (Likely because it hasn’t happened.)

Though I’ve been on the bandwagon that David and Madison are the “cheating” couple, I’m going to swap in a different guess. I think David is just sexting some random woman. I think instead Juan is going to sidle up to Emem to provide some support in light of Ikeche’s explosive exit. Emem is everything Juan seemingly wants in a woman: a hard-working, ambitious entrepreneur. He’s going to butter her up with all kinds of praise for the amazing woman she is—and everything that Karla is not. They’ll admit to each other that they each possess the exact qualities they said they were looking for in a partner, unlike these fraudsters they were saddled with, and decide they should have been matched together. All speculation, of course. I am basing this solely on Juan sitting directly next to Emem in the limo ride home from dinner party from hell instead of sitting next to his wife.

Although Ikechi is a jerk I think his complaint has merit. She dropped in hot and heavy like they were instantly madly in love. He may have well felt suffocated. She was aggressive which she keeps acting offended about.

I can totally see him putting her hand on his dick, her getting all excited and thinking he likes her, and then him gaslighting her about it until he "exposed" her as a sexual harasser to Pia.  He reminds me of Orion, bringing up the term "redskin" which his wife had never heard of, getting her to use it and then running off to "process his hurt" and carrying on about it until she was done with him.  Gaslighters and sociopaths, both of them.  I could give the "experts" a break because sociopaths are good at disguising themselves, but the fact that he moved to be on their show should have been a huge red flag - it's not like it's his "big Hollywood break" for Pete's sake.  Take a closer look at obvious weirdos, "experts".

I found myself tonight hoping that it would be David and Emem - they both thought they'd be getting conversation and affection from their spouses; they should go for it.  Then Michelle can go on a date with a guy whose outfit and apartment are okay and see if she likes what else comes with that!  I get that she's not into him, but he picked a sushi place to please her and her response:  "That's what you wear?"  Ugh.  And I remember him trying to ask her questions on the honeymoon - her response was always, "Why do you want to know(in a hostile tone)?"  He was told to stop asking and let her converse when she was "ready".

Guys get over being smitten pretty quickly...
