Also enjoyed last night's Daily Show more than I have most Mondays.  It's nice to see Jon Stewart direct his vitriol at the right person.  However the Ollie cameo was a sobering reminder of who the better weekly late night host has been.  Can't wait until this Sunday when I'm sure an epic takedown awaits us.

I feel sorry for the kid that Elon Musk is using as a human shield.  (Is it the same one all the time?  I know he has many children.)  What kid that age wants to be lugged around office buildings, dragged into press conferences, and be dressed in a suit and tie?  Let the kid play outside, learn to swim, finger paint, and do all the other things that kids like/want to do.

I think that most Republicans and even many Democrats in Congress are afraid of Musk. Some maybe terrified. He has that much power to ruin their lives. We only have to look at what he has done to that judge (and his family) who has ruled against his actions. This, to me, is the most terrifying thing about the times we live in. My husband told me the main dealbreaker for him was not trusting that Trump wouldn't fuck him and possibly the entire country and world over royally at some point. He, like me, thinks Trump is mentally and morally untrustworthy to put it mildly. In other words he thinks Trump is nuts and he can't trust anyone he thinks is nuts to have that much control over starting war and global events. And now Trump is not ruling out the possibility of war with Denmark over freaking Greenland? When are people going to wake up that whether or not this guy is bluffing you can't trust it?

And really, by the time someone with that much power screws you over in any personal way it may be too late for a second chance. Most of us knew what Trump is doing is setting things up so him and his rich donors can get away with everything they can to rob us blind.  This is just one of the more obvious ones.

How would you like an IRS audit?" Etc.   I wonder if a large group of them came forward at the same time revealing this would it dilute the effects and they could work with the Democrats to attempt to restore sanity.

It's true.  And it doesn't even have to be done with troops or drones or missiles.  China owns us because we owe them so much money.  They can call in that loan.  We can be cyber attacked. The NY one has been red lately but it used to be blue.  Depending on how bad things get between now and the special election that seat could go blue.  As of right now 9 Republicans have announced their candidacy. This outrages and scares me. I remember the thousands who died because of false information the last time he was president. I use ACA, and know plenty who rely on Medicaid/Medicare. I had a free for me colonoscopy and mammogram, because it's always better to catch something early. I was thinking people finally get this. Apparently not.

I’m sorry for myself that I didn’t feel good that Fogel had been released yesterday. Seeing him draped in the flag standing next to Trump just reminded me how during the first go round Trump only showed up a few times to honor the fallen soldiers when they were returned

I don't think Elon is using his son as a human shield. He is using him as a prop to show people (or to convince himself) what a great father he is. Something broke in Elon when his daughter transitioned though he was never a great father before that. No man who has kids with 4 different women is going to be a great father. A local page for me, that I followed for local news, posted that they had to defend the fact that Ohio helped to win the civil war, and that Akron and Hudson were a big part of the Underground Railroad. They had to defend that. I’ll see if I can find it again.

I live in a state that seceded from a confederate state to become it's own union state and that state now has people who proudly fly the Confederate flag. I too have been the victim of data breaches in the past.  However, this is the first time the president of the United States and the majority of the Senate and House of Representatives have colluded in the data breach.  This was the subject of my daily call to the Republican senator from my state - by his silence, his inaction, he is as guilty of this crime as Musk.  I laugh at the assurances Musk had "read-only" access.  Regardless of what type of access Musk has, the point is he should have none.  He's a security risk and would never pass a background check to get any type of clearance to access federal files and systems, at least not in normal times.  He and his businesses were the subject of ongoing investigations (all now closed I'm sure; see the list of agencies where the inspectors general were fired), he came to the U.S. on a student visa then stayed here illegally after dropping out of school, and he is a daily drug user.

I live in the NY district which that lying see-you-next-Tuesday Stefanik represents, and am hoping for a positive result in the special election. All my friends are libtards, so the fact that someone so odious is our representative has long been a sore point. This is why you never see Trump with kids, even his own when they were kids or animals. Because people would say oh how cute and Trump can't take any competition.  He always wants to be the center of attention.

THis is what surprises me about the bro-mance between him and Musk.  It's out of character for Trump to let someone else take centre stage.  Something is going to happen between them sooner or later.
