Arkay October 26 Share October 26 Yes, we get it, Joan misses John and feels guilty.. She’s the wrong person to be the lead on a show purportedly about finding love again. Also I reflexively keep feeling like I need to twist her jaw into place. I liked Jordan the most but he wasn’t so into her. And Pascal does not need this show to find women. 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149703-season-01/page/9/#findComment-8490996

Mabinogia October 26 Share October 26 The vibe I'm getting is, Chock and Joan are already dating. (not as in they came into the show as a couple but as in all their behaviours are those of a couple dating, the way she curled into him on the bowling date, that he brought her to his mum's memorial, etc). Pasqual is the most popular boy in high school that she wants to like her because it would validate her. Guy is the good looking doctor she thinks she should pick on paper, but the spark just isn't there. Regardless of how we feel about Chock, their body language screams couple. Not "Bachelor" couple but actual, real world couple. If you told me they'd been dating for a long time I'd believe it. 5 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149703-season-01/page/9/#findComment-8491234
Cloud9Shopper October 26 Share October 26 The editing also clearly seems to be showing that Chock is the winner. The way she ran up to him in Kansas, how relieved and happy she was when he came back to the mansion after his mom died, how she feels safe with him…at this point I’ll be surprised if she picks Guy or Pascal, or nobody. I wonder how the whole “are your feelings fading?” conversation from the preview will go. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149703-season-01/page/9/#findComment-8491247

A lot of women at that age may not look like that. So they grabbed Joan, put on lots of makeup, did the hair, and done. She already has the great figure. I'm surprised, though, that a lot of what she wears shows so much skin. A little more arm coverage is not going to turn anyone off. I wouldn't want my arms to show like that. Alexander Pope October 28 Share October 28 Speaking of Joan being a bummer--it was typical of the melancholic nature of this season that when Guy's family asked about their first date and she said they went to prom, she immediately launched into the story of Charles's wife's death by aneuryism and how Guy helped him understand the blood in her mouth. Fun times! How romantic! 1 3 11 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149703-season-01/page/9/#findComment-8492766

His son has his father's ability to talk, and put you at ease, he was a good looking boy. Pascal obviously loves his family, I can't see him with Joan for some reason, I loved her dress when she met him. The hometown visit definitely showed the differences between Joan and Pascal, he's so outgoing and such a people person. You could see her shrink a little in that atmosphere and it made me realize that Pascal probably wouldn't notice* Joan in the real world, outside of the 1-woman bubble of the mansion. *Well, he would probably notice those ratty extensions. Quote ETA: was so hoping Pascal would do something with Joan’s hair while she was in the salon! I got so excited when I saw the robe go on, I really thought he was gonna fix it. But I guess the show wouldn't allow that, hard to edit a show if someone drastically changes their appearance along the way. I found her outfits for the various dates to be really interesting, the fact that she looked most glamorous for Pascal's group shows that she wants him to like her and approve of her regardless of whether or not she's really that into him. His kids were very charming, but I was a little surprised at how young they were. The one daughter who didn't get much screen time looked like a high schooler. Guy's Lake Tahoe date looked fabulous to me, I would have liked that one the most. His kids were very attractive, but the one son was just way too ready for his close-up. Settle down, kid. Not surprised that Jordan is gone, they didn't seem to have any particular chemistry. I definitely get the vibe that Jordan is a man about town. Also, in those skintight jeans, it appears that he's extremely well endowed, like the jeans couldn't contain it. It was quite visible. Of the final 4, I do think Jordan was the least wealthy (not that he doesn't have money, but it's clear that the other 3 have pretty hefty wallets.) I assume she's going to choose Chock, he's the only one I see in a position to possibly move for her. Guy's kids look youngish, plus who would give up Lake Tahoe for freaking Maryland? Pascal's life is not remotely mobile, so that's a dead end. 3 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149703-season-01/page/9/#findComment-8493695

kristen111 October 29 Share October 29 I’m no prude, well maybe a little, lol, BUT what’s with all this kissing? I don’t remember all this with the young couples. With tongue especially. The producers are probably young. On my first date with my husband, I shook his hand and thanked him for a great evening. He said I was the first girl that did that. He cracked up. Married forever. Between Joan kissing everyone and the scanty clothes, it’s a little too much for tv at that age. Just my opinion. Chock looks like he would devour her. Joan tends to give quick pecks to most of the guys and saves the make outs for Chock. dancingdreamer October 31 Share October 31 I felt sorry for Joan, when Pascal told her how he feels. When her eyes filled with tears, I had a lump in my throat. I think he was the one, he's a lovely man imho, and thank goodness he told her the truth. He'd make a fun bachelor, there's a lot more to him than a fancy car, as he said. Maybe his daughter signed him up for the show, hoping he could get over his ex( their breaking it on and off) he just wasn't ready. I think Guy is also a nice man, did he go to a dark place during his divorce, he did, but these men are older, they all have a past that has bad and good in it. I think Chock has definitely fallen for Joan, bigtime. I think she feels more than comfortable with him, hopefully enough to tell him what happened, and how she's feeling, he deserves that much. He obviously doesn't want to go through another divorce, perhaps that's why he never married his second love, at least that's my thoughts. This is all very unnatural, and editing can make someone look desperate, I just don't think he is. hoodooznoodooz October 31 Share October 31 Joan has this odd clover-shaped vein above her right eyebrow that was saying hello during the (wedding) ceremony. She loves going to the beach with her family but refuses to wear sunscreen. That was some serious sun damage on her arms and chest. Agree: Nancy would have been a better Golden Bachelorette. Maybe it’s editing, but they made it seem as if Joan wouldn’t have been happy unless all three of the men were 100% smitten with her. Something tells me that it will annoy Chock that Pascal chose to bow out. Chock would prefer to triumph over two other men. Chock and Guy are falling in love with her. But Pascal doesn’t feel a spark, so that means she’s unlovable. 12 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149703-season-01/page/9/#findComment-8495343
