I certainly thought that but when my husband passed away I was told numerous times by the credit card companies that were in his name only I was not responsible  for. They would repeat it to make sure I understood. I paid them off because it was for us.

Well, I usually do not like John, but he's right about Patrick's dad. Charging them rent, trying to get Patrick to pay for home improvements for the party. And the trees! As others said, the look on the translator's face, and Manuel's expressions of disbelief and disgust were comedy gold. It was almost like Ashely WANTS him to be on the hook for half her student loan debt. I love how she described herself as an entrepreneur....girl is a grifter and it is shocking she makes any money at all. Part of me thinks she and Manuel are old friends who cooked up this sham marriage to get on the show and get some $$. 

Rob is clueless but even he sees that if Sophie was a grifter, she would have picked a better mark. The line about "dude without a bathroom" had me LOLing.

I have 27 first cousins. Over the years, we have gotten together for various family functions (reunions, weddings, graduations, etc.) Never, not even one time, did any of us have a discussion at these events like announcing at our weddings that we were going to be trying to have a baby, or the intimacy issues we might be having with our spouse at a family reunion. Either my family is seriously prudish or TLC thinks we are all so stupid to think these "announcements" are not scripted and just popped up in between the hamburgers and potato salad. 

Like so many others, I am FFing through so much of the show, I can watch the whole thing in about 7 minutes.

No, I have to believe that Sharp offers bonuses if the "characters" get certain phrases or topics on camera.  I HAVE to believe it because I can't believe anyone would just bring these topics up in conversation!

I agree. It’s extra suspicious to me that they were in a relationship ten years ago but now have supposedly “rekindled” things when there’s a TV show that could possibly get Ashley some money and advertising for her business. I thought the same exact scenario with Nikki and Igor.
