Another guy that was in pretty much everything. In addition to Clue I remember him from many sitcoms like the principal in Sabrina the Teenage Witch or the drug dealer pharmacist in Two and a Half Men.

My condolences to his family as well as his dogs.

This clip from Fernwood 2 Night in the late 70s - a faux talk show spinoff of the BSC late-night soap opera Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman - seems appropriate to this sad day of remembering the amazing, versatile comedic talent of Martin Mull.

Not Colonel Mustard!

This is his daughter's announcement on Instagram:

I love the part about the dogs.

Here's an obituary, from Variety.

Awww. That’s lovely. I saw him in a number of other things — the lecherous boss in Mr. Mom comes to mind. But to me (one of those ‘80s kids who watched Clue enough times to be able to quote it verbatim), he has always been Colonel Mustard. He was awesome in that. “Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?!” Rest in peace to a funny man who gave hours of entertainment to so many.

Oh man, I adored him.  And he grew up in N Ridgeville, nearby suburb from where I grew up.

Condolences to his family, friends, and doggies.

Although I've seen Mr. Mull in quite a few other roles before and after the following since then, the first place I recall him from was when he played the awkward bullied teen protagonist's well-intended but clueless widowed father Larry Peache in My Bodyguard (1980) - a hotel manager who was also trying to corral his somewhat flirty elderly mother 'Grandma' Peache(Ruth Gordon) and dealing with an assistant trying to get him fired to gain his job. While the hotel subplots had little connection with the main plot of the teen  adjusting to attending public school and seeking the means to avoid being bullied, I always thought that Mr. Mull helped with the much needed comic relief to the serious and poignant main plot and his  was one of many performances in that movie that  spurred me to follow their careers thereafter!

RIP, Mr. Mull.

Oh, this is sad news!  Besides Colonel Mustard, I remember him most as Leon Carp from Roseanne.

RIP, Mr. Mull.

Same. He was hilarious on that show. And I remember him from Mr. Mom as well. I didn't see Clue until just within the past year, but yeah, he was great in there, too, as always. So sad to hear this news.

Lovely tribute from his daughter.

Heartbreaking news. I was introduced to the wonderful Mr. Mull at a young age through Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, much like the recently deceased Dabney Coleman, and have been a lifelong fan of both. Mull is best remembered from that show as Barth Gimble, who went on to host Fernwood 2 Night and America 2-Night, but it's often forgotten that he was preceded by his brother, Garth, also played by Mull. He was an ill-tempered and violent character, who memorably met a nasty end, being impaled by a Christmas tree!

On F2N and A2N, while Barth claimed to be fond of Fernwood, he also sometimes referred to it as "the town that killed my brother"!

Mull was also very versatile, and was a painter and musician. His 1977 album, "I'm Everyone I've Ever Loved" is highly recommended. It's a fusion of great music and jokes, and I've had portions of it memorized for over 40 years. Here's a tune you may have heard and didn't know was his!

RIP, Mr. Mull. You will be horribly missed.

Martin Mull was one of those people who after they die, you look up their career in more detail and wonder "Why wasn't this person nominated for more of their work?".

Dick Vitale posted on social media that his cancer has returned. It's so tragic that he's raised so much money for cancer research has the disease.

Martin Mull was such a great actor and in so many great movies and shows. Loved him best as Colonel Mustard. "Two corpses. Everything's fine." Love the scene between him and Wadsworth about if there's anyone else in the house.

She definitely understood the late Mr. Belushi (and wasn't afraid to acknowledge his serious shadowside). However, she seemed  to want to concentrate the positive aspects of his character (instead of dwelling on the negatives) and how he'd enriched her life as well as so many of their friends and colleagues! I thought her account of their initial courtship was intriguing- especially since, before meeting him, she claimed that she'd never even heard of his ancestral homeland of  Albania much less had any idea its heritage's contributing factors to his persona but she proved  a fast learner!

Alas, her 2nd marriage to Mr. Pisano didn't end well but at least she DID gain a child out that union whom she adored and seems to have kept a warm bond with her child's half-sibs to the end.

RIP, Ms. Belushi-Pisano.

And I’ll never forgive Bob Woodward for how he bamboozled her with Wired, then went out of his way to discredit her when she spoke out against his tactics.

There was a lot of good in John, and he deserved to be remembered for more than just his addictions.

In 1984 Roger Ebert wrote of how Judy was depicted in Wired:

Quote

…To me, the tragic figure in the book is Judy Belushi. Tragedy is when you know not only what was, but what could have been. No matter what she thinks of the Woodward book, for me she comes across in it as a courageous, loving, generous and incredibly patient woman who stood by John as well as she could, who put up with a lot of hell, who did what seemed to be right, and who is not content to have his epitaph read "junkie."…

Okay, now I’m crying.

I'm glad that Jim Belushi and Dan Ackroyd kept Ms. Belushi-Paisano in their created family  all these decades after the elder Mr. Belushi's death.

Benji Gregory, child star of ALF, dies at 46

No idea what the hell happened, but he was found with his guide dog in his car who also died. 😭😭😭😭

Does anyone have any ideas as to why the late Mr. Gregory had a service dog ? And, as per wiki, he evidently got married in 2006 but no clue as to whom much less if he was still legally wed at the time of his passing.

I recognize that he was no longer a performer and all the above is technically not my business but I'm still curious and saddened that this happened.

From what I had read, he had mental health/anxiety issues and possibly bipolar disorder.  Service dogs are often used in that situation.  His sister said that he had terrible insomnia as one of his issues and would often be unable to sleep for days, only to fall asleep randomly wherever he was.  She stated that she thought he might've fallen asleep in his car while going to the bank and that he and his dog died of heat stroke.  This happened in Arizona, so I guess it is possible.

RIP, Shelley Duvall. There was really no one else like her. She had such a unique presence, look, and talent (honestly, who else could play Olive Oyl?). I always felt Wendy from The Shining got too much crap from critics and viewers, and I really liked Faerie Tale Theatre and what the stars brought to all those familiar stories.
