There’s an episode of Intervention that comes to mind. Woman had had a horrible life - abusive stepmother, pregnant at like 15 and had 4 or 5 kids she’d lost custody of, and she looked like she was steps from death. Emaciated, track marks, and she was tricking to make money. Fentanyl was her drug of choice and she was like “people do one hit of this and die,” and she was doing a ton. If she didn’t stay clean, she’s probably dead now. Horrible.

That's what most of these women seem to want. They start up with incarcerated men because they think they won't be cheating on them, then when they get out they're all surprised that they don't want to hang around at home.
