Annber03 July 31, 2022 Share July 31, 2022 ...oh, my god, that ending with Logan and Valerie. Daaaaaaaaaamn. That was....horrifying. Also, between the severed finger, that patient of Leland's spitting up blood or whatever during his possession, and Sheryl's demon boss slobbering onto his cookies, I am really regretting picking now to have a late night snack. And speaking of Sheryl's boss, I'm glad that Lexis doesn't apparently see him the way Sheryl does, but considering Sheryl's constant presence regarding all this weird stuff going on with Lexis thus far throughout the series, and Shery talking to Leland about her besides... *Adds this to her ever-growing list of reasons to be afraid for Lexis, and Kristen/the Bouchard family by extension* When it was revealed that Kristen's missing egg had been fertilized, I was afraid we'd learn Sheryl and/or Leland had gotten their hands on it somehow. The explanation behind the creepy toys was a good one. As heartbreaking as it is to imagine people in those labor camps being forced to send a message like that, I can totally see them doing such a thing. I still feel like that doesn't explain the creepy jack-in-the-box, though, which did genuinely make me jump when it popped up. I also liked the conflict over the mixed messages David was trying to send to the Entity, and the brief confusion that caused. An interesting wrinkle in his mission to explore. I'm glad he was able to work it all out, though I'm still wary of Victor and whatever this group has planned. Hell, as great as it is to see Grace again, I can't help wondering if it's really Grace as we know her, or if she's changed somehow. I'm hoping it's the former, both because I like Grace herself and want to see her back and interacting with David again, and because it'd be nice to see that his efforts for this group, even if they do have darker motives, weren't totally in vain. But oh, man, David's conversations with Kristen this episode. So heartbreaking. I do feel it's a little unfair to single David out for keeping secrets, because they've all been keeping things to themselves that they probably should've been sharing with each other a lot sooner, but given these particular circumstances, with Lexis and all, I can see why Kristen's especially bothered about this, too. I am glad that they were able to work through that issue, but their talk later on, in which David made it clear where his main priority lies, and them having to deal with their feelings towards each other as they do...just...aw :(. On a significantly lighter note, I did love Kristen's talk with Ben regarding her egg and struggling with what to tell Valerie and all. Ben's advice to her was sweet and true to form. Just a shame that she never got to actually say that to Valerie and Logan. I also loved Ben being playful towards Kristen with the wand when she came into the meeting at the beginning of the episode :D. Hee. As for Dr. Boggs, all I have to say to him is: Dude. What are you doing?!?! I am glad that we weren't robbed of an opportunity to see him try and get some of Sister Andrea's hair directly from her head, though :p. I had a feeling he wouldn't be brave enough to try that route, LOL. Two episodes to go! I can't believe we're almost at the end of the season already! I can't even begin to imagine what they have planned next. 1 7 Link to comment
phalange July 31, 2022 Share July 31, 2022 Dr. Boggs has really gone off the deep end, hasn't he? Now he's getting himself possessed on purpose, all because he's so obsessed with becoming famous. At least he didn't actually try to cut off Sister Andrea's hair, since that would not have gone well for him. The demon popping up to say "boop!" can't be a good sign. Kristen's egg being given to another couple and fertilized without her consent is terrible. That nightmare she had of the demon baby was so creepy and well done. Even though Kristen tried to downplay everything, the husband knew that baby was demonic, but I didn't expect him to cut it out of his wife. Poor Valerie is obviously dead, but did the demon spawn survive or did it get killed too? I'm guessing it's dead based on how much blood was in that room, but you never know. I wonder if it really resembled the six-armed demon baby in Kristen's nightmare. The monitor playing "Ode to Joy" quietly in the background when Kristen entered the house was haunting. It's good that Lexis didn't see Sheryl's boss as an actual demon, but Kristen really needs to keep Sheryl away from Lexis. I'm surprised that Grace was actually freed since getting her back seemed like the Entity covering for the real goal of eliminating the demon houses. I loved both of Kristen and David's conversations this episode. It's understandable that Kristen felt betrayed by David lying to her about his work with the Entity, but it's also clear how much they care about each other. David is still hiding something though, since he never told her about Demon Kristen. I hope he does before the end of the season. 1 5 Link to comment
AnimeMania July 31, 2022 Share July 31, 2022 The Demon Baby was not very convincing as being a living creature. It would have been so easy to program the Roomba to spell out words on the carpet. I am not sure where Kristen and David had their meeting when he came over her house, I thought it might have been the Garage, but I thought Sheryl was living there. The girls were mysteriously absent, especially since a lot of the story happens at night in Kristen's house with people making lots of noise. 2 Link to comment

For Cereals July 31, 2022 Share July 31, 2022 Ok, I need closure, full wrap-up like in S1. I need to see them come together and discuss their next move with the fertility clinic as the dad is carried off in handcuffs and what happened to the guy last week going home after his possession ended. And why does Kristen let Cheryl anywhere near the girls? She has to know Cheryl is still communicating with Leland at the very least. And previews! I need previews for the next episode. BUT still love the show. Glad to see George too. When are we going to get to Alexis having a tail and biting off dentists’ fingers? 9 Link to comment

Chaos Theory July 31, 2022 Share July 31, 2022 (edited) This season is building up to something incredibly sinister and I can't wait to see what it is. I am really liking the nature vs nurture thing they are doing with Lexis and pushing the idea that yes she is a good kid who sees the human face of the manager. There are only two eyes. I can completely understand why Kristen is upset at David. Yes they have all lied to each other but this lie leads to her kids and that is not something you let go. Kristen has already murdered someone to protect her kids and David knows this. So not telling her that The Entity is basically after her daughter for some perceived crime she might commit in the future pushes every button. And yeah circling back to RSM Fertility and the couple that got Kristen's missing egg. I honestly wouldn't have minded if it had been more then a single episode storyline. You know get to know the wife a little more before the husband kills her and the unborn baby that might be a demon. Bogg Boggs Boggs....what are you doing? I personally think The Entity freed Grace because she has a hold over David. She is someone whose visions might be enough to override his confusing feelings for Kristen especially now that there is a rift between them. Edited July 31, 2022 by Chaos Theory 3 6 Link to comment
snoopypez August 1, 2022 Share August 1, 2022 I feel like the nights on this show last at least two full days each with how much traveling these people do all in the dark. 😜 The ending with the couple was so creepy and sad. :( Obviously it's very possible that the baby WAS killing Valerie, but it's also possible Logan just...thought it was? I dunno. I do wish it had lasted more than one episode, after all the build up about Kristen's egg the whole show! Very glad Lexis apparently can't see the manager boss dude, but also: why is Sheryl talking to Leland about Lexis like this!! Why doesn't she care about her granddaughters anymore!! Ugh! I know Kristen isn't exactly around a lot but I so need her to notice her mother should not be involved with her kids anymore. Happy to see Grace again!! Although again, how does time pass on this show?! She seemed to appear within hours! Lastly, as always, I love Ben. I need more scenes of Ben and David, honestly, but I adore Ben and Kristen's friendship so much. I never tire of their scenes, either. Glad he seems to know about the Entity stuff too, not just Kristen. 1 5 Link to comment

RedInk August 1, 2022 Share August 1, 2022 I really thought it was going to end with Lexis revealing in some way that she had seen the “manager.” I think they’re being clever with Dr. Boggs & showing how a skeptical/academic-minded person can get in over their heads. It’s like he has an intellectual arrogance about what he’s playing with, not like he realizes he’s essentially selling his soul. If that makes sense? Kind of like last week’s events at the compound. 3 1 6 Link to comment

Snazzy Daisy August 1, 2022 Share August 1, 2022 My favorite part of this episode - George flossing with Lexis. 🤣🤣🤣 Good job David for taking the 12th word’s assignment very seriously and helping to bring Grace back. So what’s next for Grace? Will she be alerting the trio on what’s going on with Andy and Sheryl? Kristen was overreacting and being melodramatic again. Yes, she doesn’t like being lied to, especially by a close friend but she doesn’t tell David everything as well. She also lies to her husband and hides so many things from him. When she found out about her daughter being groomed by demonic forces, she didn’t even try to contact Andy and inform him about it. Hey Kristen, if you worry about your daughter etc, talk to your husband. Don’t lash out on David. 🙄 David has no obligation to disclose everything about his work with The Entity to Kristen. David refused to spy on Lexis. This speaks volume about David as a person and a friend. Just be thankful Kristen! Their second conservation at the end was nice and heartwarming though. The one person that David did betray is the Monsignor. The COTW was creepy in the beginning. It was rushed towards the end just because of Grace and baby Sara. Poor Valerie! Was Logan possessed when he’s “saving” her? Judging by the way Kristen was gasping and screaming, am guessing baby Sara is alive?!! 😳 Ben’s nature vs nurture. The show may implies that Lexis isn’t demonic (enough) because she is raised in a loving family. But I have a feeling that Lexis lied to Sheryl about The Manager. That girl can smell rotten flesh, death, blood etc and not freaking out. She’s way too smart for her Rad-G. I keep hearing that Alouette song every time I see Kurt’s face now. Damn you Evil! Disgusting scene - Kristen nursing the demon baby. Yuck! Overall, this is one of the amazing episodes this season. Kudos to the director - Aisha Tyler. 🙌🏻 7 Link to comment

The stuffed animals' expressions were mainly the eyes that went from a black to a steely blue FU stare. I imagine there are a number of ways you can do that since there a sunglasses that darken when the sun is out, there are those ink pens where the ladies clothes come off when you turn then upside down, there are mood rings that change color based on skin temperature and I am sure there are chemicals that change color when exposed to light or other chemicals, that might be triggered when somebody squeezes or shakes the toy. I might even be as simple as contact lenses that fall off when the toy is handled roughly. Edited August 1, 2022 by AnimeMania 2 2 Link to comment

You point to your body parts as you sing. “Lark, lovely lark. Lark, I will pluck your feathers...” and you proceed to sing about plucking another part of the poor bird’s body! I’m from Montreal (the song originated in Quebec) and we happily sang it as children.
