All Episodes Talk: Save the drama for your mama ... and sisters.

I am so here for Caleb and his complete and utter disdain for Gabe.  Gabe is still a piece of shit you can't take responsibility for his role in the demise of their marriage.  Yeah Trina cheated, but why, Gabe?  Because your ass couldn't keep it in your pants.  Physically or virtually.  Yes, Trina was wrong too, but she has admitted that, and doesn't bring it up to throw in Gabe's face whenever it's suitable for her.  I admire her for wanting to keep a man, the man they've known from childhood, in their lives, but they don't need that worm.

Anyone know anything about the so-called "bio-dad"?

I'm wishing Tamar luck on her Broadway venture, and can't wait to see the seething jealousy from the sisters.  There's a reason why Tamar has been so successful since the first season (besides Vince); she hustles her ass off!

Once again, this show is just killing me with Mama E's secret biscuit recipe. I've been low-carb for years (trying to keep it tight & right) but I was born & raised in the dirty, dirty so, I know all about good, fluffy, hot biscuits. Are you trying to hurt me, show?!?

My focus has waned a bit these last couple episodes, so I may have missed something, but have the sisters lost their minds??? Why would they pass up a Broadway show? I laughed heartily when Tamar talked about that "Zzz" money. But, she is oh so right about that. Making money in a hands-off situation is where it's at. I don't want to hear the sisters come crying later if their finances aren't right. I feel like they were doubting Vince's financial acumen. Big mistake. Huge. Tamar was very charming with the investors. Just that little bit she sang gave me chills.

Watching the boys with Gabe was so hard. Very necessary discussion, though I'm not sure it needed to be televised. I felt for both the boys---one wanting to forgive & be loved, the other who can't get past his anger & hurt. I also appreciated how Gabe faced them like a man. His comment about their mother's infidelity was too much though. I cringed & made a "Ssss!!" sound sitting in my living room. I found his direct eye contact appealing, usually his eyes flicker around so. I guess I'm Team Forgiveness, when it's genuinely requested. The oldest son looks soo much like Trina. I think that would be hard to see while going through a break up.

Oh, & I thought Towanda's scene was just horrendous. She has potential, but that right there was just all kinds of wrong.

Disclaimer:  not a regular viewer, I catch it when I remember.     But can anyone help with how it got from zero to chasing Tamar into laundry room?   Again, don't hesitate to come through and tell me to shutup if she's a legitimate problem but I was really unclear about the attitude they described her as having.

Towanda's an ole bitter ass so I get she's gonna complain period, what the hell are the rest of them beat about?  And Evelyn talking about not tolerating disrespect.   First Tamar sat down then she decided she wasn't finna do all this on camera.......so, huh?

It wasn't even clear why Toni got up and left.  The segment was chopped up and everything was innuendo.

I watch every week, and usually I'm yelling at the screen to Tamar, "Don't let Towanda get you girl!  Let it go! Calmate!", cause she's so quick to bite and ends up looking like the petty, obnoxious one.  But this episode was very strange because Towanda set the trap, like she normally does, by saying "You were so mean before....", Tamar started to get hot, but walked away from the table and came back with a calm, nice attitude and tried to steer the conversation towards the positive things they've all gotten from the show (I'm sure at the insistence of a producer or Vince).  And at that point, all the sister started being really nasty to her, more so than usual.  So either something was cut out, or they're all losing their ever loving minds!  Cause there was no reason for them to all be up on her like that in this particular case.

There was also a lot of open talk about not discussing things on camera, which was also unusual.

I don't know what they are up to. Reminiscing about the years on reality TV sounds like a series finale yet the ending scene with everyone wondering why Tamar was angry made it seem they are playing up something to extend their contract.

Anyway. I'd like to not hear about Towanda the actress anymore. That monologue showed she's terrible. I'm not buying her renting that huge space just to taking acting lessons in California. She could have done that ground work at home. And while she's at home, maybe she can work on giving even an outward appearance of having a relationship with her so-called husband. She is completely disconnected from him. I found it interesting that during her dance routine earlier in the season, there was some interaction between Towanda and a male onstage. I don't remember what is was, but we see Andre lookinig displeased and her daughter covering her mouth saying oh-no. It was like Andre was jealous, but Towanda doesn't seem to feel anything for him.

I don't know what that Broadway thing was supposed to be. I'm not buying the universal stink eye from the other sisters, and the steamrolling into a new project just seemed fake. Something really pissed me off about Tamar telling the producers that her sisters didn't get it or didn't understand her. That is such a strange explanation and if I were the producers I would think either the sisters are too stupid to understand or Tamar is completely devious and can't relay information. At the end she claimed they said now is not the time. That's all she should have said because at least that implies they heard the offer and made a decision.

I have no idea why Tamar's angry/upset, but I with the news that Vince bit Tamar, I wonder if there's trouble in paradise?

Possibly. I really don't know how anyone can hang around Tamar for long. She's insufferable.

That's because Andre is Towanda's live-in nanny who pretends to be her husband when it's convenient for her.  But he gets a place to live and someone else to pay the bills while he "writes" his books.  I can't help rolling my eyes every time Towanda talks about her kids, because I simply don't believe that she spends any time with them or ever puts them first.

I recall an article from when the show first came on where they talked about the backgrounds of each of the then "other Braxtons" (it's where I found out about Towanda and her husband's history of scamming, thereby making her moniker as "The Responsible One" forever a joke).  I think I recall them mentioning Trina's ex-husband as being the father of both boys, but the relationship broke up when Caleb was still a baby. He seemed to be out of the boys' lives, with as Trina noted, Gabe being the only father they really knew.  While Trina and Gabe were married for about 14 years, they were together several years before the marriage.

Side note -- Eric looks exactly like Trina, Caleb looks like her too, but Eric is her clone.  In response to the question posed by another poster, yes, Eric  has put on a ton of weight, possibly stress related be use of all that is going on.

I've watched the season finale twice now & laughed my butt off both times. (Well, before the end anyway.)

I really enjoyed listening to the sisters reminisce. They hit on so many terrific highlights & The Songs! "Touch the Fertile Tree" is maybe my favorite. The silly dancing & the look on the tour guide's face was priceless. Even reflecting on the difficult moments showed growth. Toni, Vince & Traci have made progress with their health & weight issues; Trina had a graceful end to her divorce....

There were some super funny moments from the slumber party--- Trina: "I see you, mommy. Slipping away with that [sex] book in your hand. Yass, mommy....yass-AHH!!!...." LOL!!! Um, and I saw Traci grabbing up those sex toys, too. Good to know she's doing well post-hysterectomy. "Don't go, mommy. Don't go." as they're all waving her away. So funny. It looked like such a fun time--- bottles everywhere, food, family & dressed comfortably....

*Sigh.* And. Then....

When Tamar excused herself from the sex talk, she came back with an attitude about something or other. She clearly had a chip on her shoulder. It was evident she felt like an outsider, but she excluded herself.  Walking out time after time only feeds the problem. The sisters were all making eyes at each other across the card table like: "Here we go again." It's like Tamar had an inner-dialogue during the break & reached some negative conclusion that the sisters were not privy to. Or, maybe she talked to or texted a friend who fed her some negativity. (I noticed how she kept handling her phone.) Either way, she was on a completely different page than everyone else.

Basically this Tamar Problem will never get resolved until she can stay in the room & have a calm conversation with her sisters. I find a lot of Tamar's mannerisms & language charming & LOL funny & creative, but sometimes it makes it hard to understand what she's actually trying to say. For someone who's so expressive, she sometimes has a difficult time communicating with other people.

I'm guessing the next season will deal with the Tamar intervention & Trina's peri-menopause. I hope there will be more music: Traci's song was hawt &Toni & Tamar's voices are just incredible.  I'll really miss the show during the hiatus. Anybody know when it's coming back?

So....Traci shades Tamar's Grammy loss(and/or Tamar interpreted it as shade), Tamar shades back, Traci had already told Tamar she felt some type of way...Tamar had already told Traci that SHE felt some type of way...Tamar thinks they've squashed it...All to find out Traci has been all in her feelings about Tamar's statement for 2 years?

GIRL I GUESS.

You mad about Tamar making jokes about your autotune, but you're somehow magically not mad at Towanda telling the world(the actual TV world) that your husband might absolutely have a side baby.  Oh ok.

Out of all the sisters, Traci and Tamar are the most alike.  That's all.  They are mirrors for each other and they're always going to have the most problems with each other.  They are both loud, extra, overly emotional, and likely to lash out.  They hurt each other in the same ways, using the same methods.

The only storyline I'm interested in so far is seeing where things will go when their stepmother/father's side chick-turned-wife shows up.

The one thing I hate about all the sisters is how they all feel very comfortable being angry at Tamar.  I know she's a lot. Like, a LOT.  But the idea that she's the only problem in a group of 5 sisters is so impossible for me to believe, I end up overly defensive of her lol.

I agree.  Tamar irritates the hell out of me, but she is not the sole reason that they all have problems with one another.  It's clear the sisters find it much easier to blame Tamar than to take any responsibility for their part in the nonsense.

Just one example of how Tamar bugs: "I'm from Baltimore!"  No, you ain't, girl.  You're from Severna Park.  We don't claim you, don't be tryna claim us.

I agree! Even Vince said something to that effect, whereas in the past he would just tell her she was doing too much. There was so much in the media about their marriage crumbling, I was happy to see them in a good place. Vince looking all good & they're trying for a new baby & a new house in the ATL? Loves it!

The insight into Tamar's mean tweet about Traci's music revealed something new about the sisters' latent animosity. It was part of something I & I think other viewers have wanted to understand for a long time: the old wounds that haven't healed. As usual though, my favorite parts of the show are when they're just hanging out & laughing & acting silly. They just crack me up.

Towanda's divorce situation made my jaw drop & stay dropped---- that lazy fool wants full custody?!? Oh hell to the naw! I need Towanda to tell the whole family what's going on & I need Vincent the Herbert to get a dream team of lawyers involved stat. Normally, I don't feel it's Tamar & Vince's responsibility to get involved in the sisters' financial & legal problems just because they have more money, but this is different.

But here's the thing, Towanda's husband has been the one taking care of the kids all the time while Towanda was on tour, was Toni's assistant (mostly in LA), was trying to start a personal assistant business (in LA), was trying to go to acting school (in LA). And most of the time, given what we've been shown on the show, the kids were an after thought.  Dude may not have an actual job, but he is the primary caretaker.  And I for one believe that the reason she didn't divorce him earlier was because she didn't want to lose the childcare he provided while she did her own thing.  And I'm not saying that she should have stayed home with the kids, but I've often wondered why, if the majority of her work (or rather, what she wants to do) is out west, why she didn't move the entire family out there.  Instead, she bought herself a small condo in LA.

I did find it funny that he wanted the LA home in addition to the Atlanta one.  Also, why does she own 3 homes?  Also, also, me thinks off camera that she told the lawyer she wasn't giving up the homes which was why he kept mentioning how hard a fight it was going to be.

The home in Maryland is a rental property, they said, so I think he wants that to earn some money.

As shiftless as we all know Andre is, the fact of the matter is, he's a stay at home dad.  And stay at home mothers almost always ask for custody so I don't knock him.

Tamar doesn't even know how to argue lmao. All she had to do was keep calm and tell Trina that Towanda agreed with her about the Salt and EVERYBODY agreed with her about the French fries.

She doesn't just give her opinion. She wants to loud mouth everyone into submission. Everyone ought to line up and slap her for that behavior in church. Granted it might have been publicity for the Dr., but Tamar had as much couth as a spoiled 5 year old. Dreadful.

Okay, so I guess both Tamar and Towanda are nearly bald headed from their weaves. However in one scene when Tamar was talking to Traci in the hotel, there seemed to be a square piece of paper between her scalp and one of the those dreads. What was that?

I think jealousy is at the root of most of the sisters' problems with Tamar.  They are jealous of her relationship with Toni.  As the youngest, Toni always babied her and was identified as being responsible for the creation of the "TaMonster."  When their parents' relationship fell apart, Toni took Tamar in and essentially finished raising her.  Tamar lived with Toni for years, thus solidifying and deepening the closeness that was already there. Towanda all but admitted as much during early seasons and we saw her trying to sabotage that closeness.  Add to that Tamar's ability to actually have a successful career independent of Toni, something none of the others have been able to do.  Lastly, they know that were it not for Tamar and her ability to get Toni to do things (albeit this was aided by Toni's financial problems) there would be no show, so now the other sisters are begrudgingly beholden to Tamar because she is the cause of their celebrity and income.  Notice their fury at the Tamar and Vince spin-off, which is a constant reminder that she can survive absent BFV and their hostility towards the broadway show, which they saw as an opportunity for Tamar to take center stage over them, rather than an opportunity for them to broaden their brand and deepen their pockets.  And I say all of this as someone who has long been on team Tamar's Too Much, but it is what it is and it's getting pretty obvious at this point.

Like others, I agree that while Andre may be a leaching load, he was the primary care-giver and people on this board have long speculated that these free of charge services played a large part in her keeping this guy around.  And as Watermelon noted, if the roles were reversed and Towanda stood at home while Andre was mostly away pursuing a career no one would question Towanda asking for primary custody of the children.  Based on what we have seen, I think Andre has a strong case for custody and possession of the primary residence, and substantial spousal support, if nothing else.  Also, let's not forget the long, shady past of these two that people referencedduring the first season, with the implications of scamming people, and I have always wondered if part of the reason Andre was allowed to hang around as the show launched, even though he and Towanda were supposedly conscientiously uncoupled for some time prior to the launching of the show was that he had dirt on her that they didn't want coming out as they were crafting the BFV brand.  Now several seasons in and further removed from these actions, Towanda now feels free to jettison the baggage that is Andre.

I have noticed that, but it wasn't always the case.  Trina used to be extremely neutral.  But I always noticed how Towanda would drop little, almost inconspicuous bombs whenever she spoke to Trina about Tamar.  Just enough to get Trina's wheels spinning, because she's the analyzer/processor in the group.  Honestly, I miss pop star Trina....she seemed much happier.

I didn't see anything like that, but I was struck by your comment. Then, I encountered a Caucasian woman on a flight with thinning hair & it looked like there was a rectangular patch of paper or something on the top of her scalp. Obviously I couldn't ask her about it. I reviewed the scene again & I still don't see what you mean. All I see is a wonky part on the right side of Tamar's hair.

Anyway--- Tamar's faux-dreds look Painfully Heavy & Damaging! I shudder to think what her edges are gonna look like when they take those things out...

Even though Trina is the sister who tends to get along with everyone the most, she has her pig-headed tendancies, too. I tend to eat very healthfully, but when I go out for drinks with my girls we always want fries. Even better is a french fry menu---- truffled fries, Old Bay seasoned fries, classsic shoe-string, duck fat fries.... I would have to think Trina's missing out on a good money-making opportunity here. The mark up on potatoes & oil seems like it would be very profitable. It's a big mistake for any business owner to ignore repeated requests from their consumer base.

It's a shame the sister taste test went waay to the left. Trina wasn't receptive to hearing the criticism that she asked for. Then Tamar got real personal & hurtful with some of her comments... well, Trina went below the belt, too. The whole thing was ugly!

Upon second viewing & re-reading the comments here, I'm still going to have to beg to differ regarding Towanda's divorce. Joint custody? Yes. Full custody for Andre? No, no, no, just no.

(Side note: all the WeTV commercials for the new Mama June show are making me crazy. I can't get to my remote to fast forward through them quickly enough. The loud-ass ratchet-sounding voice of her child is bad enough. But, being constantly reminded of that woman's despicable life choices just makes me want to vomit. I feel uncomfortable supporting a network that supports her. I posted about it on that thread.)

It's during the first scene when Tamar is visiting Traci at the hotel. The camera has Tamar's face in a full shot most of time and I was just staring at that thing. Are you watching in hi-def?

"Shocking". It was kinda clear Tamar had had a miscarriage.

They really don't like Tamar at all though. I'd have to think that if my sister told me she had a miscarriage my first thought wouldn't be, "well you didn't tell me, so I couldn't be sympathetic." Be sympathetic NOW, hoe!

Exactly!  And when Tamar pours her heart out, all Towanda can do is stand there staring at her?!?  Geez, have a heart sisterhood!
