I didn't hear exactly what she said, but it sounds as though Joy was thinking of a specific type of incest (adult and minor child) only, without considering other possibilities such as between siblings or close cousins, as well as between adults who are too closely related. It seems to me that when exceptions specify incest, the idea is that the female has been taken advantage of, which is why the abortion is sought. It IS up to the woman to decide when she needs to get the abortion and nobody else has the right to say otherwise. It’s a scary time right now. I had a miscarriage a couple of months ago.
