The into the woods filler was stupid, and dangerous for them.  They ran out of ideas.  Said it all.  Oh, isn’t Delores a bit too old for those crop tops?  She kept pulling it down in the store, which means she’s aware.

 

Margaret is right.  Teresa does look like shit.  She looks like a Clown with those lips.  Her face is ruined.  Doesn’t she see it?
 

What’s Melissas storyline?  Saying “Oh God”?  She kisses shorty here n there and cuts up veggies and lettuce, and puts it on the table.  That’s it.  Oh, and poses for anyone’s camera with her fancy clothes and sparkly shoes for a bbq.   I did love Margaret’s gold and white blouse in the coffee shop tho. Lol.

Their lips are all starting to remind me of Goldie Hawn's in the movie First Wives Club, and that was a joke, it wasn't supposed to be aspirational.

I am surprised that the docs they go to want them walking around looking so overdone. It's not a good advertisement for their services.

 Can we talk about Melissa's "salad"? Was that just iceberg lettuce, nothing else? And they ate it dry with no dressing? And she was tossing it like it was chock full of veggies and other stuff😂

So Jackie and her proposed therapy treatment -- clearly both Evan and Margaret thought that if they are first and foremost recommending in-person treatment that she should do that.  I don't blame them.  That is some pretty serious work they are suggesting.  And Jackie saying "I know what I need," oh dear.  No, she doesn't.  If she knew what she needed she wouldn't be where she is, she clearly does NOT know what she needs. 

 

You can't say, "I had an eating disorder for 20 years, got better, I am good now! But I'm really not, I was just faking it by doing the bare minimum so I will get help I need." And then when they suggest what you actually DO need, you take the easiest path possible, insisting you don't need the medical professionals primary or even secondary recommendation.  She clearly thinks she is taking this seriously but the reality is she is once again just doing the minimum to get to a place where she feels a bit better and will think she is cured.  Her perception is so skewed, she had no idea what normal and healthy should actually feel like.   

I hope what she is doing is working, I hope she gets healthy but nothing about that conversation indicated any sort of acceptance or acknowledgment that somebody might know better than her on her recovery.

Marge has no room to talk. She looks awful.

Personally, I think that this show at this point would be no where without Margaret. Because she is willing to be confrontational, she is moving these plots forward.  And while she CAN be too confrontational, she's also empathetic, as this episode showed with Jennifer. 

Also, she's 100 percent not afraid of Teresa and I will always like her for that. Teresa is a bully and much like Dorinda on NY, I can't stand any housewife who thinks she can issue threats like a mobster and not experience any consequences. 

Marge isn't perfect, obviously. She has acted in ways that have harmed people she cares about. But I appreciate the fact that she has demonstrated a capacity to grow. Which is better than some of the others on this show.

Lol, I think there were a few croutons in it.  That’s one thing I love about this show .. the food porn, especially when they have lobster and all the different picking things on the boards.  I would be in heaven.

😆 In my defense, I was furiously knitting while "watching"! I'm trying to get this darned difficult shawl for my sister finished before the end of the month. I'll have to rewatch and look closer.

I love all their spreads! So much good food. I have to have a snack when I watch or I'd feel left out and hungry.

I'm in the camp that loves Marge.  She makes for some great reality TV and as you said, she's not afraid to go up against the incredibly stupid Teresa.  I would be totally good with Teresa not being on this cast.

Jackie does not need the money from Bravo, sure it is nice but her health is worth more.  She should take the in patient treatment for three months, she has a husband, a mother, baby sitters, etc...as a support system at home.  If she returned to RHONJ it would be a big deal, recovering and healthier and maybe send a good message to others with an ordered eating issue also she would be in the spot light for a bit which would really piss off Teresa, lol.

I too like Marge.  I do wish she would stop with whatever she is doing to her face and lips.  But, yes she is the only one not afraid of Teresa so it makes for good TV.  Teresa has made a mess of her face too.  Way too much sun and plastic surgery.  She looks like a weathered piece of wood.

They really don't work for the franchise. RHONJ had a personality and they don't fit into it.  Plus, they are playing a role of who they think they should be on the housewives.  And that doesn't quite work here.

And honestly, I have to say, I think if they were to see Melissa now she wouldn't be cast either.  She was much more interesting in her original, spoiled, "and we pay our bills, thank you jeeezus" persona than what we have now.

Yes, fully agree! Marge has said and done some shady shit for sure. But I think she makes the show interesting. As much as I don’t care for her as a person, I begrudgingly admit that Jen does also. 

Teresa and her love-bombing, purple-faced,  chest-thumping, spousal-abusing goon of a boyfriend can go jump in a lake. Or “fall” into a pool. Whatever gets them gone. Her idiocy + temper tantrums do not make her enjoyable to watch at all. And adios to know-it-all Mini Tre, aka Gia. She certainly turned from a bratty kid to a smug and annoying young adult in the blink of an eye.

I shouldn’t have said fake eating disorder but she clearly enjoys it. She was practically giddy telling Evan the therapy place wanted her to do live in therapy. He looked delighted at the idea of her going away but she shut that down immediately. She does not want him to be on his own. So yes her eating disorder is real but she is enjoying it and trying to make viewers feel bad for her.

Oh ok. I think a disease like anorexia is very serious and incredibly complex, and I didn’t see Jackie as gleeful at all. I think Evan loves her and wants her to get some real help. But I’m fine with agreeing to disagree.

I think whoever was assigned to her would have made a good faith effort to get her through the course; I don't think any of them (except possibly Teresa) really want any physical harm to come to anyone else. But, being Teresa, she wouldn't trust whoever is guiding her, and would go rogue, guiding herself off the course, preferably to be left dangling upside-down in mid-air, because she refused to listen to the safety harness instructions.

How immature is David?  He walks right past Delores and talks to her family?  Is he a doctor or still in high school?  I always thought he was strange. And this whole thing about staying friends with the family never works. It would be different if they were married or had children, but they have nothing tying them together. They have to move on. 

I liked Margaret and Jennifer. I think Margaret lashed out and didn’t really give thought to the fallout. I saw glimpses of the Margaret I used to like. I also can see how Jennifer never processed the affair. She had a baby the very next day and then just got wrapped up in all of that and the feelings just got pushed down further and further. I think Bill is just embarrassed to talk about all this messiness on camera.  

I’m really not liking Tracy. She’s coming in too hot. As a Giants fan I used to like Tiki until he badmouthed Eli Manning, who is a class act. 

Marge was right, Teresa looks like shit. I used to think she was pretty in earlier seasons. Now she totally looks like that Goldie Hawn picture someone else posted. Horrible. And the leathery skin (which Delores also has). Yikes. Take a day off from tanning.

I hate Margaret’s mouth though. She looks like a skeleton. All teeth.  I can barely look at her all I see is that horrendous mouth.  Shudder. 

Jennifer’s hair looks good curly and it makes sense in the Jersey heat and humidity. 

The fact that Jackie has been dealing with this disease for 20 years proves she doesn’t know what her body needs or what’s best for herself.  Unfortunately, Jackie is not ready to move on from her eating disorder.  Period.

I saw something on the news that 98% of students won’t receive athletic scholarships, so if that was the reason Melissa and Joe decided to move it’s definitely a stretch. I don’t believe for one second that’s the real reason though. She would have been better off saying the school district is better for all her kids.

I don’t know how anyone could take one look at Jackie, her veins popping out of her body, her horrible acne, her lifeless hair, and not see that there is something seriously wrong with her.  She looks extremely unhealthy. She absolutely should be in patient right now. She’s been dealing with this for twenty years that’s a lot of bad habits to unlearn. Like Evan and Marge said, as hard as it would be to be away from her children (who are not babies plus didn’t they just spend two weeks away?), it would be worth it to ensure she is there for the rest of their lives.

You seem sort of familiar with Tiki which I am not.  Do you happen to know if he sided with that piece of shit Michael Vick and what he did to those dogs? ?  I’m almost sure I saw an interview back then with him  where he defended him at some point but I can’t find anything online specifically about it.
