I will never understand why people like Stephanie (and Sara and Whoopi sounded like it too) defend utter trash like the Kardashians. They will never love you, you will never be part of their club, you will never make money like they do no matter how hard you work. People are believing a lie - if you just stay working and working and working in an attempt to become part of the elite (and therefore never end up bothering the elite with pesky ideas like a fairer system that may take some of their undeserved wealth away) you will be fine. But you have to work harder and harder and if you're not getting anywhere it's all your fault, you should be working yourself to the grave.

The whole thing is sick. I hear frequently of how in the US people have to work multiple jobs and they still struggle to get by. Are they just not working hard enough?

Stuff like this makes you really understand the motivations behind the French Revolution.

Ditto.  Whenever I'm down I watch her sing A Teaspoon of Sugar at the Kennedy Center Honors for Julie Andrews.  Amazing voice.  If I don't like someone's public persona as opposed to their performing selves (Kristen Bell and Will Smith immediately come to mind), I just don't watch.

They should at least give Ann Richards credit for this paraphrase of her comment about G.W. Bush. :-)

Fully agree…they seemed to let KK get by with her tone deaf comment.  As far as I’ve seen it was the mom who really made the millions happen and, at least in the beginning, their “work “ was mostly showing up at openings and clubs.  Hard work!  I’m kind of surprised they were that easy on this as the Twitter verse certainly hasnt been. And sorry Stephanie, but if you looked to a kardashian for inspiration, you weren’t looking very high.

In BREAKING NEWS Sunny grew up poor & had to work twice as hard as anyone else to get to where she is!

I'm starting to fast forward when Sunny talks. She always has to be one of the first to speak on a topic and seems to talk the longest.

I think I would really enjoy the show if she was off for a few days in a row.

And these days, she's looking ANYWHERE/EVERYWHERE for a j-o-b.   Please, Stephanie...not here...not on my TV.  We didn't like you when you worked in Arizona politics...and we still don't.

Someone asked about his name, and if it hasn't been answered already, I think it's short for Christopher.

From an OLD interview:    Topher Grace changed his name because he didn’t like to be called Chris. Many people called him Chris when he was young, and he would finish it with topher to reiterate that they call him by his full name. In his interview with Anthony Anderson of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the actor said:  So I’d say, ‘Hi, my name’s Christopher, and they’d say, ‘Nice to meet you, Chris,'” he said, taking a pause. “And I’d say ‘-topher.

·        He continued, stating that when he was in New Hampshire, high school, he joked that he would use Topher as his official name. To his surprise, the hottest girl in school said, “That’s cute!”   “So that was it, it wasn’t like a Hollywood thing or anything,” he added.

I'll give Kim this. I do think she is a worker. There are people who are born with immense privilege and opportunities and do nothing with their lives. I also applaud her for doing all the good she does.

But I agree that being born into a relatively rich family, being a well-connected Hollywood kid, having a mom who has business smarts, pretty privilege, willing to do all sorts of things most of us would not do for a buck, she's not someone I'd use as a role model myself. The average person cannot relate to a rich and famous daddy, a mom like Kris Jenner, having a sex tape or posing for Playboy or whatever.

I look up to Oprah Winfrey. She came from nothing, went through a lot, and achieved immense success as a result of her brains and hard work. I absolutely loved her show too. As a reality TV fan, I never got into the Kardashians.

Once again, she's not on trial and she's not a defendant. Just saying that she's not perfect (like Sunny believes herself to be). Stephanie owned her role and time there, and appears to regret it now, so we should all be willing to cut her some slack. It's called personal growth.

Well, technically all the try-outs are on trial... With View producers and viewers. I much prefer Sunny calling it like it is over the McCain years of topics being off the table because it made one co-host's family look bad or the ladies being forced to pretend that nothing was happening as that co-host became increasingly more vile and unhinged in statements and behavior. I imagine Sunny's not alone in thinking a role like Grisham's doesn't wash off a person's reputation so easily just because they say sorry after it becomes expedient to do so.

In all honesty I would rather have someone like Grisham who says yes I worked for that administration.  I supported his polices but now I realize how bad things were.  As opposed to someone who purports to hate someone and yet defends everything they do.  I also think what you see is what you get with Grisham.  Most of the other co host candidates have appeared to be on their best behavior (except for Tafoya, she was awful) but I feel like if hired they would revert to who they really are.

Wait, she’s still there?  Guess the producers like her enough to let her hang around for another couple days.  Sunny is not feeling her though.

Oh, Sunny, I’m no fan of Sarah Palin but “see Russia from my backyard” was Tina Fey, not SP.

Oh, lord, Grisham is whining about being attacked by Ana.  Sounds too familiar.  Pass.

Sara Palin didn't say the exact words I can see Russia from my house but when asked about her foreign policy credentials her exact quote was

They're our next-door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.

I suppose they had Grisham on more shows to make up for Sara having to be out today.

Yay @ Ana calling Grisham an "accomplice," so glad the ladies are not made to lie towards this woman. Loved Sunny swatting her down when she tried to interrupt her in the first segment. Of course an enabler of racism en masse like she was wouldn't think this constant questioning of Kamala's qualifications despite the fact she governed one of the largest states in the country is recurrent racism and misogyny.

Thank God for both Ana and Sunny refusing to let it go. "You needed four years?!" <3

It doesn't speak well of her if it took her awhile to catch on .  I prefer someone that devoid of awareness not be anywhere near the gov.

I need to catch up this weekend on the shows.  I am looking forward to checking out her as a cohost.

I know it's an unpopular opinion here, but I can't take Ana Navarro's politics very seriously. She tends to go by what people in office say, not their actual policies. I'd go into some examples of her supporting problematic folks herself, but board rules. I don't think she's one to talk about Stephanie. At all. On the other hand, while Sunny can be tough, I think she has more ground to stand on. Whatever these hosts believe, I want to hear their perspectives about policies, and I want them to be fair. I don't want a host who will support an administration so long as stuff isn't "personal to them," which Ana has said on different shows throughout the years.

Yep, like MM. I get these women questioning Stephanie, but at a certain point, enough is enough. She seems like much better conservative host (if that's what they're going for) than MM, Elisabeth, Candace, etc.

I've never been a big fan of Ana.  Compared to some other co hosts that belong to her party yes I think she is fine.  But she has said things (especially since Trump has been out of office) that make me think yep there is the Ana  Navarro I have heard about. Outside of politics I would probably like to hang out with her.  She seems like she is fun and she has a good sense of humor.

Now THIS is why they'll have a hard time finding a Republican to take MeAgain's seat.  I'm not saying that Stephanie didn't deserve it but having TWO members of the panel gunning for you at the same time, I don't know too many people who would like that!

I have found Grisham to be more likable than most of the other cohosts they have tried, but I'm not sure I like her for this position.

She said she would do everything she can to keep Trump out of the White House.  But, when asked if she would vote Democrat if Trump was the GOP candidate, she said she'd write in somebody else's name. Doing everything would be voting for the Democrat, but ok.

Sunny and Ana can disagree with Stephanie but why do they have to attack her so much? She said that she had already explained it on the other days she was on the show.  I don't think too many people would like Sunny attacks everyday in a work place.

Sunny's attitude gets worse and worse!

Gabrielle Union is just stunningly beautiful. I love listening to her talk and would love to see her as a host of her own show. I would say she would be a great co-host of The View but she is far too good for this mess of a show.

I don't hate Grisham and have actually liked her better than any of the other try outs. I did enjoy Sunny asking Ana how she could still be a Republican after all they have become. Because, you know, as they say, "Sit down to eat with 10 Nazis at the table, then there are now 11 Nazis at the table".   I feel like Grisham held her own under fire from the two other hosts. I am not defending her, she still has the orange stain, but so far, she is the least repugnant to me.

I have no problem with Grisham being questioned everyday about her time and loyalty to that administration. She stuck around when absolutely disgusting vile things happened. Only found her backbone and gag reflex once her boss was not reelected,  very convenient.  The whole Trump apologists crew now want us to see that they were disgusted and shocked by Trump's behavior and are selling books to tell us this... Sorry, but I can't temper my disgust for people who stood by that administration , just until the party was over. I dont feel sorry Grisham and she can keep bringing up she's a single mom  but I don't care does she?

Speaking of which - if she's on again whenever she brings up her poor little me sob story about being a single mom I want someone to ask her how she felt about kids being torn from their mothers at the border.  She doesn't get to play the mom card here.

RE: Kamala Harris' laugh

I don't know if she laughs because she isn't "prepared" for the questions or needs to stall for a few moments to get her thoughts straight or if it is just a weird habit, but this does seem to be a common behavior of hers. Laughing as the initial response to a serious question does give the impression that the person is not giving full weight to the answer OR considers the question (and questioner) beneath them.

I have no idea how "qualified" Kamala Harris for the job of VP (regardless of her other accomplishments), but she should recognize that this criticism is something she can do something about and work to stop falling back on this annoying habit of laughing when answering questions. Stop the inappropriate laughing and you'll give your critics less ammunition against you.

I'm willing to bet someone could pull a series of clips of Joe Biden (and every other President and VP) laughing in a similar way and not being critiqued for it.   A nervous chuckle is pretty common human behavior.   And if someone didn't point it out, I'd bet most of us would not notice it.

The fact that it's only brought up by certain news organizations and that seems to be main source of critique of her is suspicious.   She gave a 50 minute Q&A on a life and death situation and the only take away is 2 second laugh to a poorly worded question?    Just feels like a reach.
