S25.E05: Week 5

How has Abigail never been on her grandparents’ farm? This sounds like a sob story ready to be exposed. But first, another sob story about her dad leaving. Oh, maybe it’s her paternal grandparents and they’re not in her life, either. But why mention them, then?

Gah, I got a phone call and missed an entire hour. So I guess QV is gone? That would have been fun to see. Last I saw was Matt "stealing" Anna. Now they are on a farm date. Big WHAT HAPPENED in between that I missed.

Matt calling himself a "farm" guy is BS. You clean stalls bedded with wood chips/sawdust with a fork, not a corn shovel. Milking goats is easy but the guy holding the goat was making it difficult. I would have shone on that date, have had horses  forever, worked at a training barn cleaning stalls, had a herd of dairy goats I milked twice a day for years, had 80 chickens and sold eggs. Any bach who couldn't keep up with me and my farm chores would be gone baby, GONE.

And that includes Matt.

Oh, you missed a lot! You should watch On Demand or online or whatever is available in your TV market.

Whaaaaat?!? They both said they’re falling in love on the FIRST DATE!?! Whoa. Am I the only one who thinks that’s totally out of the blue?! They tried on clothes all day—and maybe it’s just my terrible memory that can’t recall Rachel standing out in group dates or cocktail parties—so to me this seemed like their first ever conversation. He’s talking about proposing to her?!? Matt, my dude, if only you knew what happened to Clare and Dale.

I once told a guy I really liked him a lot on the first date, never heard from him again 🤣

My now hubby of over 25 years told me he loved me after 2.5 months of dating (freaked me out because of my abusive ex). I ran off for a couple of hours because I was so unnerved. That was in 1992 but we worked thru it and he still loves and puts up with me (as long as he is in another room when I watch my reality TV shows).

My point, the whole premise of the franchise is just stupid. “You are on a farm and working on a farm is a lot like relationships”.

And with a poster above, Raleigh is a city, not “farm country.” Nothing wrong with farms (we would be dead without them) both my parents both grew up on farms. But growing up in Raleigh you probably didn’t grow up on a farm.

Its been awhile since we had much Abigail time, its hard with so many girls and then Victoria and Ana sucking up screentime with their constant camera hogging drama. I hardly even know half the girls and its halfway through! That's been a real problem for awhile now, the first half of the season will be dominated by these "big" personalities and pot stirring villains/producer plants who you know will never get to the end and are just there for the manufactured drama, so when we get to the real contestants in the second half, we have hardly seen any of them.

Ok, one girl gets ball gowns and Louboutins, another cries because she gets to stay home and cook?!? Well, I guess she’ll be thrilled with the fabulous life of doing freaking “mom chores” day in and out for the rest of her life. Ah, to be 22 with no life responsibilities and think everyday chores is a dream date. Well, Kit’s mom is a famous designer. It probably is a big deal to give the maid, chef, and butler the night off and mom spares a couple of hours with her.

I am still really amused by the fact that Matt decided to have a whole ass rose ceremony just to give Victoria the boot. He could have just asked her to go like Anna when she was outed as a serious level mean girl, but no, she got to voice over in increased panic as she realizes that she wont be getting the rose. I guess the producers decided that she has outlived her usefulness to them, and finally allowed Matt to get rid of her, like you can tell he has wanted to do since night one.

I just noticed this. Does the Bach always say: "... and with that being said, will you accept this rose?" on the dates? It's like he's told to give a bunch of reasons why Ms. Right is just that, then segue to "and with that being said."

I have to pay more attention next time.

“The secret ingredient in chocolate chip cookies is chocolate.” Um, it’s not much of a secret when it’s literally the only ingredient listed in the cookie name.

To be fair, she was making chocolate CHUNK cookies. There is a difference, and chunks beat chips every time.

With all the drama going on, it’s so weird to here declarations of love since we haven’t seen any relationships building. Wait, so Kit said she has a hard time opening up because her mom is a famous designer? What does that even mean? I like her because she seems different but I’m not seeing too much going on there.
I think Matt will keep Katie around to give him the scoop but she has already been friend-zoned.

I agree, Kit just looks SO young.  She doesn’t even look 21.  I think I read she is a senior at NYU.  She would be an easy pick if he’s not really into anyone else.  They live in the same city and she could get him lots of attention if that’s what he’s looking for.  Then he could easily break it off, just by saying she was too young and not ready for marriage.   Wonder how her mom feels about her being on this show.  Esp with an unemployed bachelor as the lead.   I do think she’s cute and sweet.   Her hair is not great though, esp for a millionaire.

Ana and Victoria already got the boot so suddenly MJ needs to be raised as a villain for the 2:1. Thankfully she “bitched it up” in record time to have Bachelor Nation root for Jessica...whoever the hell she is.

I do NOT like this Jessenia character. Sorry. MJ may not be my favorite, but a lot of the original girls were upset when the new girls arrived and made comments about it. Not just MJ. Jessenia is just trying to get people thrown out of the house at this point. It's getting petty.

It is kind of funny hearing someone being like "yeah, wait until people watch this on TV" because, like, yeah. We are all going to see how everyone comes off, even with editing and manipulation from producers. People are going to see that you said that exact thing that you just said you didn't say!

So they got of their two villains, and that left a villain void that the producers were desperate to fill I guess. Why do the producers of this show think that watching grown ass people be really shitty to each other is amazing entertainment?!

Yeah, I didn’t care for either of them.

The whole thing just needs a little common sense ....why would an escort come on the show.  Everything down to high school shoplifting comes out.  Clearly it isn’t true.

As for Anna... ooh, I made a mistake.   No, you were a malicious bitch and now you are paying the piper...I hope.

At least she owned it. I give her credit for that.

It seems like Matt is babysitting Kit for the evening and she has a crush on her sitter . He looks like a grown man and she looks like a little girl and the way she talks , she sounds like a Teenie bopper . I know this show likes the young , but 21 is way too young and I wish they’d set the contestants to an older age . After all it’s not a dating show , it ends with an engagement ( that never last , but still .) It’s hard to take seriously when he looks like he could be her fathers age .

Also , she just cried in her talking head and said that she’s never been able to find love with a romantic partner . You’re 21!!! Holy moly .
