Ashlee’s comment on Brennan’s post really got me. 
 

The veteran support for her is wonderful, but we all know TPTB can be vindictive. How many of these girls will choose to walk away over this? How many will be forced into it due to cruel behavior they endure because they were supportive of their sister?

 

Ive coached (cheer, dance, gymnastics) for over 20 years. This past month I explained to my 12yo ice hockey player why his chances for his dream team with a new (to him) organization were slim. I told him “as a coach, I’ve chosen my known veteran over a potentially talented rookie because I know what the veteran brings me. More times than I can count. You’d have to be undeniably phenomenal to make me choose you over a vet, especially with such a shortened tryout.” And I was right. He didn’t get that spot he wanted because the coaches kept the vets. I expected the same of DCC. 
 

Brennan has been nothing but pure class from Day 1. To bring her back her second year to cut her again was disgusting of Kelli and Judy. The fact that she showed up again another year and then made the team and shined endeared her to me and so many others. Her poise and maturity are outstanding. She can use a can opener with no instructions, even! The woman had her home torn up by a tornado and missed nothing DCC. She certainly was not a PR-risk or one that caused concern over contract requirements (looking at you, loosey-goosey girls). We all know this is asinine and I genuinely hope does not go away quietly.

Sounds like she rightfully spoke up about the need to have in-person training camp and that likely rubbed TPTB the wrong way. We all know independent thinking doesn’t fit in with the “yes, ma’am; no ma’am” culture of DCC. I’m glad she is standing firm and sticking up for herself.

I love how eloquently she got her point across without completely slagging off the organisation.

She’s obviously a very intelligent woman with integrity, voiced her concerns about the lack of seriousness they seem to be taking surrounding Covid and gets booted out. 

She’s honestly better off out of it all. As much as I love DCC, I hate that they’re not even allowed an opinion on anything. They’re mostly mid to late 20s and should know what’s going on around them. Forming an educated opinion shouldn’t be seen as a negative, how about using their platform for the greater good?

I was thinking the EXACT same thing....that Hannah sought legal council and won't be bullied into taking that post down.  And Hannah will likely sue. Getting fired for expressing workplace safety concerns is illegal the last time I checked.

While I would LOVE for Kelli to be shown the door and told "Tonight will be your last night", I'll wait until there's an official announcement that she has left the building.  I'd also love to know what Judy plans to do.  If she stays, she'll remember the good times she had with Kelli but not regret getting slapped down for speaking out or voicing her own opinion.  If Kelli will do THAT to someone who SHOULD have a say in things, no wonder Kelli is horrid to the girls and thinks that only her own opinion (and that of Charlotte) actually matter.  To Kelli, the girls should shut off their brains and their opinions the moment they join the squad unless it matches what the organization wants them to say.

I wonder if Charlotte is going to get called on the carpet about this.  Just because the girls aren't technically on the sidelines doesn't mean they should be dancing on the touchdown decks.  That STILL could be considered part of the sidelines if the NFL wants to push it.  Besides, didn't they STOP doing that in previous seasons because of safety reasons?  I guess Kelli and Charlotte are so focused on getting the girls seen that they don't care if the girls are safe or not.  I hope the NFL puts its foot down and says absolutely not to even having the girls anywhere NEAR the field.  Which will effectively holding make holding an in-person Training Camp useless and worthless.

The only thing that would make this whole situation better (other then blowing the lid off the toxicity of the whole DCC management) is if it gets MOST of that DCC management fired and new blood brought in.  Imagine if new blood was brought in (especially ones that don't have any connection to Tina and that she doesn't have any ties to or hold over) and they made the WHOLE group re-audition.  I wonder who would make it back.

DCC can spin all they want as to why Brennan/Hannah were cut (e.g. quality of dance, weight, attitude) and the casual viewer may fall for it, but by posting these two perfect exit statements an inevitable perception of cutting popular members who had Covid/raised safety concerns is now a reality. Perception in age of SM is everything. Interesting conversations happening today with K/J/C I imagine. Go Hannah, go Brennan!

This is what happens when ANY leader in an organization gets stagnant; seniority with a lack of exposure to outside processes gives them the Big Fish In a Little Pond management style. Kelli is behind the times in so many ways and whether she was too busy, or too comfortable, to keep up, it's a sad ending to MTT.  She had said in the past after 15yrs she was done. 

Well, this is a helluva sad way to go out. She had a chance to set a  example for all other teams as a progressive leader during a difficult time. Instead, her legacy will be overshadowed by her ratings chasing, favoritism and blatant hypocrisy. I used to respect her and defend her; no more. #timetoretire
