Watching Mondays show. These Newman’s patting themselves on the back for giving themselves the same jobs over and over is tedious to watch. Ashland said “what fresh hell is this.” Nothing could be more true regarding Billy and these podcasts.

OMG!  What have they done to Rodan?  Not only has the sunlight washed her out but has melted her brain for her to take the high road and become altruistic. But in a second, Rodan reverts to form and becomes her true natural vindictive hateful Rodan. Yes Rodan, “To thine own  self be true”.  

I don’t get a Southern Californian vibe from Allie at all. Too conservative. What I get is a vibe from a girl from what is sometimes call “flyover country”.  In fact, I get more of a Southern California vibe from Faith. It could be because of her blond hair and being tan but Faith is much more of a Southern California personality than Allie.  

I had to laugh when Noah thought that his father was walking away from New Hope in putting into Noah’s capable hands. Since when has COO of NE become a full time job?  Banana Breath could very easily be a part of New Hope on his extended coffee and lunch breaks. Both CEO’s also have time in their hands that is not devoted to business. 

Faith, why go to college and put yourself through the stress of a double major when you can just learn the family business from the inside. Did your father even go to college and he became COO of NE. Your aunt Olive was an art history major and she became CEO of NE. Your uncle Adam is a Harvard Business School graduate and still is really a “no body” at NE. So Faith, skip the $200K plus education, pass go, and Grandpa will make you the new CEO in less time than it takes to earn your 4 year degree.  Watching Olive’s 🤯 would make my day, month, and year.  That conversation Faith was having with her immediate family confirms that she’s the smartest one at the table.  

Just when it’s becoming interesting with Kyle warning Rodan that’s he’s not going to let her dissuade him from a relationship with his mother and Nikki going to try to have Summer dissuade Kyle from relationship with his mother, we get preempted.

Nikki, Olive, and Rodan are of the same ilk by being so full of themselves that they can’t see the faults in themselves what they see in others.  Plus they all believe that they fart rainbows and shit unicorns. 

Out of respect for the mods and other posters, I’m not going to comment on how I feel about what’s causing Y&R to be preempted.

Allie Sunshine is boring. Then you add Sleepy Noah to the mix and you have one boring young couple. I almost didn’t recognize Faith because it’s been so long since she’s been on the show. She looked very nice with her tan but she’s been with the show for a while and they still don’t know what do with her. Y&R doesn’t know how to write for young people. In fact, they don’t even have teenagers on the show because they are clueless.

Phyllis looked like a lunatic again but now in front of Kyle while Diane just goes about her day smiling at everyone. Susan Walters has the best smile which helps. I’m assuming Diane will have to do something bad sooner or later so the show can justify Phyllis’s outrage. I’m just not sure what Diane would do. Maybe, with Ashland but she already put him on notice. I guess with her new job?! I’m just not sure exactly what Diane would have to do.

Maybe the moment to have mentioned your new job opportunity to Faith and Noah was before you accepted it, Nick. It doesn't seem to me you actually value their opinions.

I love how Faith just decided she’ll intern in a different department at NE every summer until she graduates and then will just pick her department and go to work there.  Must be nice to never have to wonder where you’ll work or in what capacity. Just pick your job and tell grandpa, Aunt Victoria, and daddy. Wanna be CFO? Sure! COO? No problem, daddy will step down to make way for his baby girl. CEO? I didn’t mind the break today for the hearings; it got Phyllis off my screen. My ears! Her hair! I started watching the show a bit around the time she got involved with Nick and don’t remember her being that bad.

I know everyone likes Adam/Sally. But. For the cherry-on-top-of-the-sundae: did it occur to anyone that Jack and Sally having a nice conversation the other day might be foreshadowing? Could the writers be considering putting Sally and Jack back together? And is it terrible that I would love it? Phyllis would go crazy. I kid - like she isn’t already.

Just because Diane's sorry, it doesn't change the people she hurt? Has Nikki met her own precious husband, Grampire? Well, he's not even sorry for all the horrific things he's done, so I guess he doesn't apply.  

I don't get the now habitual Phyllis "I'm about to looooose it" rage cry moment, either.  Considering it's MS, I can only assume it's some kind of attempt to make herself look either intimidating or sympathetic.  Oh, wait, I'm sorry, she's definitely NOT the character, so it's some deep complexxx method acting tactic.  Sure.

I'd think that Faith and Noah are meant to represent two ends of the extremes of cliche soulless ambition and apathetic listlessness, except that these are the writers who came up with gems like a podcast story and Team Baby Crew (who wound up hating each other).   So, yeah, that's probably not it.

They struck gold with Sally and Adam. They would be idiots to break them up, at least this early in the game. (Yeah, I know, they already are idiots.) Sally and Adam need to be a couple for a couple of years before they get broken up. And have lots of adventures together. There are very few couples with chemistry on this show. Most of the couples do not have any chem. And some of the characters are just plain unbearable. Does anyone really want to see Sharinsane and Banana Breath reunited? Or Dickvon with anyone? Does anyone care who Gaspy McTalksTooFast points her vajayjay at? And like you said, throwing Sally into the SyPhyllis and DianeJenkins mess would make her a casualty and be big a waste of Sally. Maybe Sally will be an ally to Jack in some upcoming trouble either with them or something else? I'd love to see Jack with a new woman his own age. Not either of these two old tired relationships revived. 

And on an unrelated topic, I wonder when we'll get to meet Jack's daughter in law? Probably when Allie and Noah get married?

Nikki is upset because Summer gave Diane a entry level job, at Marchetti, that she’s not qualified for. Nikki, tell me what you were qualified for other than taking your clothes off and giving lap dances when Victor met you. If it wasn’t for Victor, you would still be taking your clothes off at old age homes to the delight of their seeing eye dogs and giving the residents $2 lap dances.  

Here we have another nation heard from beside Rodan where Nikki talks about Diane but sounds like she’s talking about herself.  Let me repeat myself. Nikki and Rodan fart rainbows and shit unicorns.  I like that Nikki seems to be giving Rodan a pass for their past history.  And there you have it, they don’t even give 💩💩 about Summer’s feelings in wanting to conspire against Diane and her husband.  WTF Rodan?  Who loves Summer more than her mother and her grandmother?  The answer is Kyle you dimwitted idiots. Are you asking Summer to possibility sacrifice her marriage for their vendetta.  Nikki will be now known as Mothra because monsters of a feather fly together.  

Of course Allie has time to talk to Noah and she, like everyone else, thinks that work is not the most important thing in their life.  Allie is suppose to be smart but she supports Noah in his aimlessness.  

On to Today:

Everybody is waiting for Chelsea’s designers Lauren 😂.  Who’s everybody?  Do you mean all the employees at Rexx Ruggs?  This is the second time Lauren has been fucked over by Chelsea. Even Tara hasn’t fucked over Lauren because they were actually never in business together.  Lauren, I have to say, in the long run you dodged a bullet. Of course, this new designer can replace Chelsea in a very short time, even a first year designer student, with a box of crayons, would be a better alternative. 

So now Chelsea wants to become a pod caster. Nostrils is bad enough but Chelsea?  What’s her pod cast going to be called, “The Art of the Con”?  

No Banana Breath, Faith is not coming after your job, she’s coming after Olive’s job. Olive, your Junior Management Program?  Is that just a fancy name for an internship?  

Et Tu, Victor. Sally is not qualified when the most qualified to run NE is on the bench. Victor is a wise business man, but is a complete idiot when it comes to Mothra, Olive, and Banana Breath. 

Olive Olive Olive, I heard Victor being very satisfied with Adam’s work at NM, but you are lying about Adam’s and Sally’s performance.  The only reason things might be “ left up in the air” is because of you not them. You were working overtime on plotting to disparage Adam and drive him out. You want to fire Sally because she can’t be trusted?  No Olive, it’s because you need to rule with an iron fist that can be depended upon to kiss your boney ass.  Victor wants to keep Sally in order to lure Adam back but you’re quite obvious that you don’t want Adam back no matter what Victor wants.  

Once again I’m hoping that Adam teaming up with King Kong is just a red herring and Adam’s plan is to take down King Kong once and fore all.

Yesterday when Sally touched his face and she had his best interests at hearts that was so touching and sexy. Much sexier than 2 people grunting on a desk.

On another note, I would totally believe the podcast was successful and that Billy was funny IF Billy Miller was still the actor HE was funny and interesting. This actor just doesn't pull it off. Of course though, I don't think I would believe it if Billy Miller teamed up with Chelsea since she drug/raped him.

I really don't like Victoria.  Sally and Adam are the main reason I watch this show and if they have them go off the rails because of Vicky's vindictiveness, I'll not be happy.

What's the deal with Imani?  Other than being exceptionally transparent about wanting to get laid?  My  gosh Nate is an idiot.  They keep hinting that Amanda has had to rein her in the past over this type of behavior but haven't gone any further than that.  Unless Imani starts to make herself over in Elena's image after Nate rejects her, I'm not interested in her at all.

This podcast thing is so stupid and confusing.  It's supposed to be anonymous, but everyone knows it's Billy.  WTF?  On the other hand, having Chelsea join in makes it easier for me to ignore two characters I can't stand, so yay.

Chloe doesn't bother me, probably because I haven't been watching when she's gone off the rails, and I was looking forward to her and Sally working together.  Hopefully that still happens.

I'm also sort of hoping Lily and Devon do open a hotel because anything that make Phyllis unhappy is good. 

So the GCAC set is still around?  I missed it the other day and had been wondering about it.  It's always been one of my favorites on this show.

If Adam really wanted to get back at Victor, all he's have to do is get a job and another, non family owned company and become successful there.  He is a Harvard grad and worked on Wall Street before Victor revealed himself as his father.  He's certainly better educated than any of his siblings. Anyone think Sally is going to leave Newman Media to design for Marchetti or Fenmores?  Chelsea left both in a lurch and everyone likes Sally's designs, if not Sally herself.  Sally is aware that her job at Newman Media is on the block, so why wouldn't she jump at a chance to design for a fashion label if the opportunity is presented?  It is unlikely that Lauren would hire her, but Summer kind of owes her in a convoluted way.  Jabot wouldn't own Marchetti if Sally hadn't pulled some strings to get Summer hired there.

I posted this in the backstage thread here too. I chose MS's tweet because the shot of the screen in NY was from a more close up view then the video CJB tweeted out.

I actually don't mind his hair on the show. At the Daytime Emmys though he looked like he stuck his finger in a light socket while getting ready.

I think the Vicboria writing is meant to convey her overcompensating for a couple of reasons. First, she’s way more hurt by Ashland than she’s already admitted. That’s part of why she’s brushed off Nick’s repeated warnings about Ashland. She pretends not to worry about him in order to show how over him she is. It’s an act. Secondly, she’s realizes how ridiculous she looks for putting herself, her family, and NE at risk over a complete and total fraud. Ashland sashayed into the office two or three damn scenes after Vicboria said she had two massive security guards following her everywhere. Make it make sense people.

I was temporarily excited to hear Gaspy and Lauren talk about bringing on that NY designer guy. I though it was a good way to introduce a new character. But then I realized that sadly that's probably all we'll ever hear about him. Sally will be unfairly laid off and she and Lauren will run into each other at Abby's joint and reach a truce and then Sally will design for Lauren until Adam gives her another COO job.

I loved Ashland trashing the hotel room today. Normally when someone is angry on this show they throw a glass or a chair (out the window) but Ashland went full batshit crazy throwing everything he could lay his hands on and when he ran out of things to throw he went into the closet to throw around his clothes and luggage!!!  That must have been a fun scene to shoot.
