I may not have been paying enough attention but McGee said he graduated from Johns Hopkins, right?  why was he flying there when Johns Hopkins is in Baltimore.  It must have been his undergrad MIT class reunion although its funny that he mentions Hopkins.  Of course I wasn't paying much attention and I really don't care. 🙄

I agree with Katy M, too much Jack drama.  I really don't care about the character in the least.  Maybe if it was in the least related to the main plot I would but, nope.

I've said this before i'll say it again Jack would be better with Vance.

And if they sailed off into the sunset, never to be seen again... it would be fabulous.  I've hated the Vance character since day 1 and  Jack is a very close second..  This would be a perfect solution!

Casting did a fabulous job with the actress playing Jack's daughter, she looks like she IS her daughter.

The episode was a snore.

What did Vance do to earn that kind of hatred? I think he's awesome.

I may be the opposite but I thought the case was a bore...and I had a feeling who the doer was but not the reason....but the Jack stuff was good and her confrontation with her attacker was good...and I loved that the daughter "got it"....That was the only part of the ep that worked for me..and the Jack drama usually doesn't get to me...and yeah sheand Vance need to hook up soon.

Way to be professional and separate your personal life and work Jack-OMG!

Tho I will wonder what she does?  Oh, once she checked a file and found out a victim or suspect had a sibling......past show. And then we’re supposed to believe that Gibbs got all crabby because she wouldn’t tell him the father- please! Not sure why I still watch this show - a shell of its  old self.....

Is only on the show for personal drama or because the writers are bored, and adds nothing else, but anytime a show adds a ____________, the ____________  ramps up.

I changed that a little.

So far I have the following blank fillers

previously unheard of ex-wife    personal drama

baby                                             too cute for words

pair of teen age boys                   dirty words and crotch humor

dog                                               dog walking

unwanted roommate                 all story lines avoided to that point

______________________________________________________________________

You'd think they have roulette wheels to spin with random nouns to make time fillers.

I only started watching NCIS again cause Maria Bello came on so I'm totally biased. I really like the character Sloane though. Bello usually does a great job even with bad material, not a rule but as I wrote usually.

And I had to rewatch this episode to get the conclusion of the current case cause I got too involved with Sloane & Faith & rapist bastard to pay attention to anything else. Really far fetched from the current case but I'm not complaining. I thought it was great. I love how Vance is there for her and how it seems he knew. I liked that Sloane is honest and almost an open book about her rape. In her line of work it's important that it's out, and also in the military so you and your superiors may know your triggers. I get why she didn't want to disclose this to her daughter though. They just rekindled their relationsship and that's a hard thing to bare, knowing you were concived through rape. Faith was wonderful with it though. I hope we get to see Faith again soon.
I usually have a problem with macho men wanting to save the honor of the woman or whatever but this is Gibbs character so it would be weird if he didn't want to know the rapists name and do whatever to him. As for pairing Sloane up with someone I kinda like status quo. The team gossiping and hinting to things, even if it's very unprofessional, is fun cause that's sorta NCIS in a nutshell. We learn a lot of the plot lines through office banter/gossip. It isn't necessarily the truth (tv-drama truth) but it can be if you want it to be or you can just ignore it.

Vance definitely knew and it seems like he's her "person", the one that knows everything about her.

When they cast Bishop to be training to be the top covert agent, Torres needs to be the greek chorus asking the obvious questions on behalf of us at home

Bishop's role needs to be perceptive, subtle and cunning. she is playing naive, which hopefully Is just her act

at the crime scene, Gibbs was providing technical support to McGee about how to unlock the victim's iPhone. what gibbs.what gives

It drives me nuts when Gibbs asks the team members what they have, and they mumble and make up excuses and when he presses them further, they whine, "What are we supposed to DOOOO?"

He used to get mad at the previous team(s) and they would jump to and start thinking harder on how to solve the case. These three just pout. I miss the good old days.

I didn't feel like McGee's situation resolved itself very well. He didn't want to go, decided to go, mixed up the dates (which seems implausible), and is glad he didn't go because he would have been going for the wrong reason, which was what, exactly? To show people he wasn't ashamed of himself and his accomplishments? Because that's a bad thing?

I know that reunions can bring out the insecurity in people, I get that, but sometimes you find that everyone has grown up and it's just interesting to compare notes with people. I thought McGee was secure enough for that, but he's become a big wuss.

He didn't want to go because Delilah couldn't handle the potty training routine before she put the kids to bed without him. He wouldn't have needed to miss any more than that because Baltimore is 38 freaking miles from DC. I've had daily commutes to work that were longer than that. What does she do when he is out late on a case?

McGee's refrain is that every task of the job that he has always had is like looking for a needle in a haystack. And then he feels insecure about his accomplishments at   the  reunion. He is the one under performing. How did Gibbs know his way around the vic's iPhone at the crime scene?

Back at the lab, Kasie should have explained what searching "Florida man and my birth date" meant for the benefit of the audience. I'm sure it is something Gibbs wouldn't know as well as a large portion of the viewers. I learned about it a few years ago from the local radio station I listen to, but I didn't realize how widespread it was.

So many crazy things seem to happen in the state of FL. The game is: type into a google search "Florida man" and whatever your day and month of birth is, (eg. Florida man May 16). Then you read the stories that come up. It is sometimes done as a group event to see whose birthdate has the craziest story.

eta well that was sad... florida man my birthday got arrested for throwing a hamburger at someone... yeah that's a fun thing to do...NOT!

Being drunk or high at the time might be part of the game. I'm not sure.

I thought the fake school was an interesting scam. I thought looking for yet another excuse for yet another meetooo moment, complete with Jack intimidating the rapist with her gun and then cold cocking him with that awesome right hook, was dull and pandering.

That wasn’t enough though, as the daughter could “tell” something was “off” and managed to know Jack was raped, because... she knew. C’mon.
