Mystery solved. One of the Final 4 is someone Chris dated in h.s., and now she does porn. There are all sorts of x-rated photos of her online, and she has an arrest record.

I never watch the Bachelor but I'm bored today and my Facebook feed is exploding with pictures/news about Chris, the Bachelor, being in Lincoln, Neb. earlier this week. There are several posts about it on a Lincoln radio station's facebook page (Proud Country KX 96.9)

 

ETA: Reading the comments to their original photo, looks like they were in the Western panhandle of Nebraska, not Lincoln. Fun times.

She's supposed to be 27 and Chris 32, so they didn't even go to high school at the same time. RS also said that she did a nude photo shoot and video for Playboy Amateur, but he didn't say she did porn. My understanding of porn is that it entails having intercourse on film, not just nudity.

I doubt she told Chris much about her colorful background.  Those kinds of conversations don't usually take place until the overnights, and I don't think in the past anybody had those kinds of things to "confess" to the bachelor.

 

I think the producers deliberately cast her, told her to downplay the sexiness, and gloss over her past & current internet nakedness.  I think they made a deliberate decision to screw with him and include a girl he probably wouldn't feel comfortable introducing to and explaining to his family and friends.

My God this season is going to be a mess. Chris and his family are very conservative. He is actually very active in politics with the Republican party. Considering how ~familyvalues  they are, I doubt Jade makes it far. If she does, that would make a great dinner topic.

What a trainwreck this season is going to be with the tabloids all over Jade's past come January.

Over on the RS site, there's a comment poster that supposedly has some inside info on Jade, alleging among other things:. 

 

 

 

Jade is a manipulative psychopath.  She has stolen from homes in town, been engaged (for housing and money purposes at the time) and broken it off right before the wedding. She ratted local Gering kids out for drinking at her party only to relieve herself of another minor in possession charge. She has a boyfriend who she used to get the in with playboy, and before she left Facebook, she said, “I’m doing something big!” We could have only guessed what evil she was up to this time. A wolf in Sherpa clothing, she stole from people, used people for housing and bounced checks all over town. I would like to say that this is not a “true Nebraska girl”.

Haaaaaahaaaahaaa!  Could that promo BE any more ridiculous?  It made me laughthough, unlike most previous cycle promos.  Those just made me roll my eyes. 

 

Chris showed in Andi's cycle he has a good sense of humor.  I really hope he can keep a grip on it through this one!

I don't mean to sound too harsh but that's not true at all. Hustler and Penthouse publish still images of nudity, and no one could or would claim they're not porn.

Pornography is generally considered something that produces sexual arousal in the viewer.  That's a Wiki-type definition, but it fits as far as I'm concerned.  Though people can argue that some people get aroused by non-sexual, fetish-type things like bare feet, etc.  Lots of definitions out there, but like Bugs, I also see porn as at the minimum standard, arousal-by-nakedness-in-a-magazine thing.   YMMV. 

 

The "insider" that was posting about Jade on RS added that Jade's entire family is pretty much a bunch of low-life criminals & deadbeats.

Finally a reason to watch this season! Seeing Chris the conservative "gentleman" with a criminal record date a porn star criminal should be rather epic. I knew the producers wouldn't hold back from messing with him no matter how sweet and genuine he's been portrayed as. Go show!

From another board, Jade has been spotted on social media which says she was eliminated after the home town visit.  

 

Usually the lead knows who they are going to choose before F4 so Jade was clearly a producer pick to go the distance.  And I would not put it past Fleiss to tip off TMZ about Jades checkered past to create buzz.

As a "right reasons" viewer I'm really dismayed by this situation. I don't mind the customary producer plant/villainess/"wrong reasons" contestant; for all the headlines they generate, when you really break it down, all they are is "bitchy." Take Courtney Robertson. Her big secret, what the other girls tried to warn him about? She didn't get along with everyone in the house and she wasn't that into him. Big deal. She came from a nice family and had a successful career. Now future Bachelors have to worry about being publicly embarrassed when their F1 turns out to "have a past." (Yeah yeah, call me a prude.) I wish they'd leave the trash/trainwreck factor to the TLCs and VH1s of the world.

As a "right reasons" viewer I'm really dismayed by this situation.

 

 

This stuff has been going on since season one.  Granted as the franchise grew the manipulation did, as well.  Despite all of this, many couples have found each other which says you can find love anywhere.  

 

I watch for entertainment and a possible love connection.  And if I didn't read spoiler boards it would be impossibly boring. 

 

I rarely get ruffled about anything on reality TV.  Bring it on, I am ready for this despite how dull I find Chris!  :>)

Every season has the "drag alongs" that the producers insist the lead keep in contention, and I'm sure Chris knew that going in.  I imagine they make adjustments as the filming goes forward.  Maybe something like Chris is allowed to take his top 2 girls to the hometown dates, but has to let the producers pick the other 2 for ratings.  Without knowing contract specifics, it's all speculation.  But I'm pretty sure there will be a couple he actually likes and would consider a relationship with.

I previously posted a list of the 10 girls RS had confirmed up to that time.  Here are the two he's released since:

Currently works at Salon Salon in Rancho Santa Fe. Has an older sister, Katie Hester, who’s married to Jacob Hester, a former running back on the LSU football National Championship team in 2007. I’m pretty sure the dinner portion of the hometown date is going to be at Jacob’s house. . . . Also, Becca used to date Dez Duron, who was on an early season of the “Voice” on Christina Aguilera’s team.

 

12. Jade Roper: 27 (will be 28 Dec. 19th). Currently living in Los Angeles. Originally from Gering, Nebraska. What does she do? Well, her LinkedIn page says she’s involved in cosmetics. Also heard she works at a restaurant. Has a website at JadeRoper.com. However, even though the website alludes to it, it doesn’t include the pictures from when Jade once posed for Playboy Amateur. And has a 3 minute video to go along with it. We’re not talking, “Oh, she took her top off and there’s one shot of her on the internet topless.” Ummmm, no.

He hasn't really reported anything else new on his blog after releasing these names, but has dropped a tidbit or two on Twitter.  There he has reported that the final 4 rose ceremony was held Friday night, not in LA as originally expected, but in Dubuque, IA (Hotel Julien, if anyone cares). From there the final three are off to Bali.

 

This report, from another site, is claiming that Steve has named 3 of the final 4 women, but I didn't find it anywhere on his site, unless I'm missing it.  But for what it's worth it is saying that 3 of the final 4 are Whitney Bischoff, Becca Tilley and Jade Roper.  I mean, Steve did confirm before that Jade was in the top 4, but I see nowhere else on his site where he has confirmed the other 2.  So take that FWIW.

From what little I've read about the rumored final 4, Whitney would indeed be a good "winner".     Would be the second season in a row that the final 1 is a nurse.

Reality Steve update:

 

He hasn't released a lot of new info, although he claims he has more contestant names and knows who the F3 are.  But he did say that while the overnight dates were indeed in Bali, as previously reported, it turns out they came back to Iowa for the final rose ceremony.  So they literally flew to Bali for just a couple days then came back to the US.  Again, I'm betting some girls are pissed that they missed out on a prolonged tropical vacation.

 

Anyway, as RS reports, this means that the final rose ceremony will take place in a barn, either in the Dubuque area or somewhere in/near Chris' hometown of Arlington.  It might even be on Chris' farm, either outside or inside depending on the weather.  RS didn't seem to know which, but this would make sense considering the "farmer takes a wife" promotion they are going with.  The meet the parents and final dates are going on this week, with the FRC this weekend.

 

Again, he knows the F3 but doesn't seem (or didn't when he wrote his last column) know who Chris was engaged to but is confident he WILL get engaged.  That seems like a given.

My guess is that they would use a barn repurposed as an event center.  Using a working barn would be a lot of prep work to sanitize it.  Also it's not too romantic to get wear your best clothes and get an engagement ring while avoiding manure, straw, hay, flies, dodging bags of feed, having a cow poke her face through and lick your clothing while chewing cud (leaves a nice green stain).  Plus the audio - I can imagine Chris on one knee proposing and in the background you hear "plop! plop! plop!" as a cow unloads from her back end.

If you Google the term "Barn Event Center", you can get images of some amazing barns that have been SERIOUSLY pimped-out into gorgeous event spaces.  I imagine there are some in Iowa that would work well for the FRC.

Maybe Chris's parents couldn't or wouldn't travel to Bali for the meet the parents portion of the F2 dates? That seems to be an integral part of "the process" so production probably didn't want to skip it.

Wasn't Trista an F2 girl (and imo still one of the best bachelorettes)?  Steve's been wrong before, but it sounds very much a "done deal" this time, as if TB isn't even expecting to hide it, maybe because of filming so much in the U.S.

 

Since I greatly prefer the "love story" to "watching the heartbreak" I think it should be fun to see who Chris "falls in love with" and how he handles (avoids?) all the potential d-baggery of being TB.

Yes Trista was the final 2 and there have been other Bachelorettes that have been ex final 1s--Jen and Emily and I guess Deanna but since the filming of the Bachelorette now starts a day after the live After the Final Rose ends, being final 2 makes it nearly impossible to be the Bachelorette as you'd have to go up on stage confessing heartbreak for Chris and then pop over to the mansion to film your season.  So that's why Steve thinks that Britt is a strong contender for the lead over Becca.   But we'll see if that changes in the new year.  Britt could be one of those girls that end up back together with an ex or don't want to do the show.

Britt is an actress and here is a short she did.  Well done and wow.

Wow is right, Wings!  Britt is very cute.  With the dark hair, husky voice & dimples, she's kind of an upgraded Des.  And she can act, so she seems perfect!  Plus, Steve said she was well liked, so the producers definitely want that in the next 'ette.

 

The first Bachelor aired in March 2002, and the first Bachelorette aired in January 2003.  They probably had no idea if the original franchise was going to continue, much less spin off to have a female lead.   Reality TV back then had no guarantees, the way so many shows do these days.
