More than redeemed herself because of Trina?? It is that line of thinking that got Guza to believe that Sonny is still the good guy. sarcasm Sonny gets a SAed teen to strip at his club, sleeps with her and gives her pills...water under the bridge and she's to blame because Sonny gave comfort care to Stone when he was dying of AIDS. And all the kidnappings and murders are fine because he did it out of love.sarcasm

I suppose I watch this show kind of superficially.  I don't think too much about past acts.  My reactions to characters are based on what they are doing now (or in the last year) and whether the character is believable and well-acted.  For instance, I don't dislike Sonny because of his past behavior but more because his gummy bear mobster is so unreal (and not well-acted).  That's why he was better in Nixon Falls, imo.

An interesting storyline would have been Sonny seeing a therapist who isn't Kevin (maybe the one who messed with Sasha) and Sonny unpacking why he felt no urgency to figure out who he really was when he was Mike. But that would involve writing new material instead of copy and pasting old stuff and we can't have that.

She came to visit Brook Lynn as emotional support and never left. I'm not sure which crisis it was. There have been a few.

Lois came back to help an amnesiac Ned who thought he was Eddie the Rockstar. And just stuck around after he regained his memory and is living in the mansion for. . . reasons.

I must have intentionally blocked this from my memory. That was painful to watch.

Also, I hated anything associated with the "Nina turned Carly in to the SEC" story.

Such a terrible story, but at least whenever it's mentioned to Nina, they have her make the point that Carly and Drew did commit insider trading.

I was on the barge and only tuned in to see Rena Sofer again. And we did get a nice montage of Ned and Lois’ romance and wedding. I was hoping that Ned would dump Olivia and reunite with Lois. But only for a minute.

I would love to see her end up with Elizabeth somehow.  I don't think they've even shared a scene since Finn left, and that's just kind of ridiculous.  Elizabeth needs a daughter, and Violet needs a mother.

Legally it SHOULD be Elizabeth since Finn and Elizabeth literally discussed what would happen to Violet should something happen to him. Finn asked Elizabeth if she would take on the responsibility of being her guardian. Of course, Elizabeth said yes. And it was strongly implied that they had Scotty take care of it.

Of course, Korte just ignored that and has Elizabeth completely ignore her niece. Hah, she probably doesn't even realize that Violet is Elizabeth's niece. It's like I've been saying, she just wanted to get rid of Finn because he was an obstacle for L&L2 and giving Brooklyn & Chase a ready-made child.

Mind you, as much as I loved Finn & Elizabeth, and I did, I'm fine with exploring Elizabeth and Lucky. I've loved them forever. But Finn didn't need to have the bus run over him, and Finn/Elizabeth didn't need to be destroyed as they were for that to happen.

Finn also didn't need to leave GH. Nope, but Korte wanted to give his child to the ever-so-boring Brooklyn and Chase. Despite the fact that Finn legally left her guardianship to Elizabeth.

Actually she came back when she heard BL had been fired from Deception--that was her main reason for coming.

And she just...never left.

I hate to defend these writers but there's a difference between a guardianship where the parent is unexpectedly out of the picture and a "will you take care of my kid while I'm in rehab" kind of arrangement that Finn himself chose.

If Finn died off-screen, then that could be an interesting custody fight between Chase and Elizabeth. She would have the legal paperwork but Chase and BLQ have been providing her a stable home already.

No, she showed up because she was worried about Tracy being a big meanie head to BLQ. As opposed to showing up when her daughter was stabbed in the throat and Ned was scared she wouldn't survive. BLQ had more than recovered from being attacked by Nelle, when Lois showed up. Such bad writing.

Except, BLQ and Chase with Tracy got temporary legal custody of Violet. They took Violet from Finn for her safety. ELIZABETH, the person, who was already legally set up as her guardian should Finn not be able to, and is also her aunt, was completely kept out of the story of taking care of Violet. Again, because Korte clearly just wanted a ready-made child for Brooklyn and Chase.

I completely forgot about Chase getting the temporary emergency custody. I don't know what the family law is in NY but where I live, Finn could have still picked the family member to take care of Violet and CPS would have to try and place the kid there first. Finn wasn't too happy with Elizabeth at that point, so I can't see him pushing for her to take Violet, even though she would have happily done it.

It was a weird choice to saddle Chase and Brook Lynn with a kid, any kid, before they've even had a chance to go on a honeymoon.

I assumed that, when Finn went to rehab, he made a temporary arrangement for Violet with Chase and BrookLynn, which would not impact the permanent arrangement described in his will.  I suppose he could have changed the will by now, so who knows?

I don't remember all of the details, so maybe I'm wrong.  But I'm thinking that Chase and Elizabeth each have the same degree of biological relationship to Violet.  Do they?

They're going to have to do something about Finn.  His name keeps coming up, and Violet is actively missing him, so he can't just fade from memory, and it doesn't seem like they want him to.  Will he go back to global medicine?  Will he die? Or might he show up again?

So many stories seem to take a few steps forward and then linger in limbo, and I wonder if the writers are just waiting to see what resonates and what doesn't, holding a few stories in abeyance to fill a gap when needed.  Wondering if the fate of Finn is one of those stories.

Yes. Paternal uncle, maternal aunt.

Regardless, the point is that Elizabeth had an incredibly close relationship with Violet. She and her boys spent a lot of time with her. They are her family. Violet is Elizabeth's niece. Violet is a Webber. And, yet, since Korte took over, she has not shared one scene with her aunt Elizabeth, has not mentioned her. Nothing. Nor has Elizabeth mentioned, acknowledged Violet at all. And this is all despite the fact that Finn and Elizabeth had multiple conversations about the fact that Finn wanted Elizabeth to take care of Violet if, for any reason, he could not.

It sucks, and Korte, the so-called historian of GH, will forever be on my doodie list because of it, so pffft!!!!

They just wanted Violet with the rest of the kids.

Laura left Ace at the Qs even though he is not related to anyone there. Meanwhile, she could have left him with Alexis, Sam, Kristina or Molly as Laura left town before Alexis was arrested.

I'm not surprised at all. It is obvious that BLQ/Chase are a favorite of Korte's and she wanted to give them a ready-made family.

As for putting her with the other kids at the Qs? We don't see the other kids. We see Violet with BLQ/Chase, and Tracy. Nevermind, that, yes, it would have made more sense for her to be with Elizabeth, and her cousins. Especially since that had literally, legally been discussed. Instead, its as if that relationship doesn't even exist and never did.

It's ridiculous. The last time I recall that Elizabeth mentioned Violet was before ME's last air date, when Jason stopped by the hospital to see how she was doing after the break-up with Finn.

Why is BLQ talking to the principal like she's afraid he can take away their guardianship?

So Willow introduces nuLucas as "your great uncle, Grandma Carly's brother" and of course this kid has no idea who Uncle Lucas/his first father was. His parents once again show much they suck. I rolled my eyes at introducing himself as "Wiley Alan Corinthos" and yelling "Dadddyyyy!!" when Michael walked in. The only good thing was Maxie, looking great, calling nuLucas out that she should have been his first stop and the sweet hug. Maxie's a great cousin/sister, but I can't with nuLucas praising Michael as a father to her.

Shut UP, Gio.

Willow, Stepford Wife, credits Michael entirely that she gets to be a mother. UGH. Hey you two, the word to tell Wiley is parents. Geeeez.

In under five minutes of being alone with Lucky after who knows how long with no communication, Aiden comes out to him? Not buying it. However, I liked Lucky being in tears that his son didn't/doesn't feel unconditional love from him. NuAiden did a good job of showing how much he wants acceptance. But writers, Luke, though a "legend," was never "Grandpa Luke" to Aiden. Luke made the choice NOT to be a grandfather to any of Elizabeth's kids. Laura, Kevin and Scott have been the grandparents.

Preview: Lucky having a meltdown in Bobbie's after Elizabeth gives him the bad news is JJ's first big dramatic scene. It's past time for Laura to come home!!

Violet's father is in rehab and she's lashing out at a kid who called him a drunk. What is there to dig deeper about?

The Tracy/Violet talk was well done. JE of course is a queen, but there's never any condescension when she's with a kid actor. I wish they hadn't had Tracy call Diane. It gives BL and Chase—not to mention anyone who hears about it—another reason to yell at Tracy.

This show is never subtle. I don't need to see Wiley. Ever. I had to laugh at Willow and Michael were amazed that Wiley had no reaction to the news that Lucas took care of him when he was much younger.

I don't like Diane's new haircut at all.

I am. I can see Aiden wanting to tell Lucky to get it over with. Aiden can see how Lucky reacts and figure out how their relationship should continue.

I liked how Terry knew that Aiden is gay and when Elizabeth expressed surprise, Terry replied, "Who's a safer space than me?" That felt very natural, for a change, on a show that has trouble with its LGBTQ+ characters.

Have Van Hansis and Kirsten Storms worked together before? They have very good chemistry.

Aiden and Lucky was good but not matter how much they scruff him up JJ has a baby face and they looked to be the same age, not like father and son.  No surprises Lucky isn’t a viable donor.  Paves the was for Sam to be the donor perfectly.

There was a lot of speculation that JJ being conservative and religious would mean Lucky wouldn’t accept Aiden. And I was like it wasn’t an issue for him on Nashville  And he and Tony were tight.

But still glad it wasn’t an issue.

It felt like too much of the show today was people telling each other that they are wonderful -- Willow and Michael most of all but Chase/Brook Lynn and the principal, and Lucas/Maxie which was actually earned.

There was no need for Michael and Willow to tell Wylie that Lucas looked after him when he was young other than to have another session of Willow telling Michael how wonderful he is. Wylie is too young to understand who Lucas was to him.

Not surprised that Korte gave Violet the Brook Lynn and Chase because they are the most boring couple this show has seen in a long time, and I include Maxie/Franco. Although maybe if she hadn't, Korte would have had to actually write a story for them.

I love Tracy, especially in her scenes with Violet. However she messed up her own children, that was great parenting.

I think that I was supposed to have all the feels for Aiden telling Lucky that he is gay but it pales beside a similar scene on Arrow (although that may have been helped by the fact that Ben Lewis really is gay),

There is something about the way the ES plays Holly that sets me on edge. It's an air of "I'm so wonderful, you should be grateful to have this time with me".

Poor Robert, he deserves better than Diane. Or Holly who is still running the same cons she ran 40 years ago.

Funny how Carly no longer mentions Jagger's son when she was talking about him every two episodes a while ago.

The devil works hard, but the writers of this show work harder to make Carly GH's matriarch.

When Korte was given the job of head writer, there was some discussion here about whether she really is a Carly stan or is told to do it by Frank etc.  I think the story lines coming out now, not to mention the dialogue, support that Korte really is the biggest Carly stan. Look! Carly saved Lucky and loves Lucas. She will probably save Lulu now by figuring out who the donor should be.

Boo! I was hoping Lucky would be a viable donor. It would be such a nice bookend, that each of Lulu's brothers were able to help save her life.

Sweet scenes between Maxie and Lucas today.  No offense to Spinelli, but I hope he is not the last romance in Maxie's life.

Also sweet scenes between Violet and Tracy, who handled the situation much better than BrookLynn and Chase did.  Except for that call to Diane, of course.

Fascinating set design choices for the school and principal's office.  Does Violet go to Hogwarts?

Since today's theme seemed to be fatherhood, I'm guessing it's Gio's paternity that will be the reason for all of Lois' pained looks.

Kind of tickled at Felicia's attitude toward Brennan, and her matchmaking for Robert.  Even Felicia can see that he needs to be saved from Diane.

I had a hard time getting into the Lucky/Aiden scenes.  Maybe it was because new Aiden is too new for me to have invested in him, maybe because he looks too old, maybe because it felt weird to watch Lucky and a stranger pour their hearts out to each other.  I don't know, it just didn't land with me.

So a whole ass storyline played out off screen with Aiden, which is not great, but if the trade off is that I don't see Spinelli, then I'm good.

Did anyone have any doubt that Lucky was not going to be accepting of Aiden's sexual orientation?

Did anyone have any doubt that Lucky was not a match for Lulu?

The scenes with Willow, Michael and Wylie were just . . . ugh. I cannot wait for their lives to blow up. Also this is the same Wylie who made Willow cry when he told her she wasn't his real mom? This kid didn't even seem to grasp anything his parents were trying to tell him. The less of him the better.

Lucas/Maxie was aces. But it will take some getting used to.

Like I believe Gio gets in fist fights with people who dis his friends and family. 🙄 If a Gio paternity story emerges I will be FF the hell out of that ~no matter what accent Lois is using. He reminds me of Potsie Weber!

After this long in rehab, Violet would be able to visit Finn unless he declined it. If they end up with Finn bagging on Violet and BLQ and Chase taking custody, I will be FFing that too. That would be a total betrayal of the entire Finn character, and I cannot stand BLQ's concerned "mom" face.

I don't get it, I thought Sam already got tested to see if she could be Lulu's donor, because of Dante (?!)

I’m not gonna lie-the scenes with Lucky and Aiden, where Aiden tells him he’s gay had me in tears. JJ is just that good. I admit it, and it’s no secret that I’m biased.

When there was speculation that JJ would “balk” at this storyline because of his sister, I just rolled my eyes. Because of his relationship with Geary. So, @YaddaYadda and @bybrandy, count me as one who didn’t give any credence to that and was happy and not at all surprised how Lucky’s acceptance played out. Unlike Bobbie, who had a problem with Lucas  coming out and tried to “find a cure” to “fix him” which I remember hating and being disappointed that she would react that way.

Damn, I need to make sure my Kleenex is handy for Wednesday when Laura is back! The last time Genie and JJ shared a screen was right before Lucky “died” in 1999!

As for Lucas, is Show going to pretend he wasn’t there for Bobbie’s funeral? Everyone is acting as if he’s been out of town ever since he handed Wiley over to the SLS

That said, his scenes with Maxie at the cemetery were more natural because gone was the ridiculous happy I’m not grieving at all Lucas. But I still miss Ryan.

Oh YUCK!!!!🤢🤢🤢 I thought Robert had dumped Diane’s ASS! That kiss just grossed me out. And I hate what the show, this regime and Guzasshole’s, have done to Holly. Erasing all of the good and reformed con she played over a decade.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

And sorry, but the actress who plays Violet is nowhere near the talent pool that was Kimberly McCullough or JJ.

Tomorrow looks so good. I’m ready for some angry Lucky. I hope it’s at the end and Laura shows up as he’s yelling at everyone.

WHAAAAT?

He was in and out in like a day, two at the most, so yeah, for all intents and purposes he’s been gone for years. I don’t have a problem with it.

as for Lucky not being a donor, of course he isn’t! He was a drug addict and probably drank too much. Even Isiah started to say something about it until he caught himself. Why is anyone surprised that Lucky’s liver isn’t in good condition?

I was one of the folks who was worried about the Aiden story being scrapped for JJ. But I was always hopeful it was being saved for him which seems to be the case. Yay.

And as for Aiden coming out immediately I totally buy that. If Lucky can't accept that what's the point in even pursuing a reconciliation? Were e I ever to meet my bio parents, that would be something I would mention immediately for the same reason.

I thought Violet went to the public school? The principal's office was really fancy.

It's obvious who nuAiden inherited his good hair from and it's not his father.

Save Robert! He needs to realize he's got shit taste in women and go for a visit to the one woman in his life who is worth his time - his daughter Robin.

UghWiley is so annoying. In his case, he should neither be seen or heard. Send him off to St. Swithun's.

Why all the black shirts?

Lucas doesn't want to hang out with Willow, Michael or UghWiley and who can blame him? I like he didn't even bother to come up with a good excuse.

By God, Michael. Maybe take some time to discuss how to tell Wiley he was switched at birth? Maybe give Lucas a head's up? Maybe talk to a professional? It's one thing to tell a kid they're adopted. I'm all for telling that early (I've basically always known). But telling a kid there was a mistake at the hospital and you were given to the wrong parents could be so destabilizing to a child. To just decide, on a whim, at a diner, to blurt it all out? Parenting malpractice. I would expect nothing better from the milk drinking cuck. But Willow has training in child development! Take a beat y'all. Jesus.

While I see the points about Liz being Violet's guardian I think putting her with Chase and BL makes sense. They have more time to devote to her. There is support at the Q mansion. And Liz is head nurse and has spent the last 20 years raising three boys. She deserves a break. Though we should definitely see more evidence that Violet and Liz are spending time together.

Can Holly please betray everyone and scamper off again? She is tedious.

Van Hansis is looking goood.

My favorite way to way the show of late? Watch the whole entire thing, even the scenes that bore me to tears, exccept fo anytime Carly is on screen. Then I happily FF her.

Because FF-ing her along with others whose crime is just boring me doesn't reflect just how much I hate the character of Carly. I watch scenes with people I don't know, repetitive drivel, and even Holly -- even Holly, for God's sake -- just so that I convey my absolute intolerance of Carly just that tiny bit more.
