  1. While it is a serious subject, I thought this was one of the funniest episodes ever of this series. I think it will be interesting to see where the writers take the storyline. Am I misremembering, or did Georgie first tell Mandy that he was 24? It is very unlikely that a 29 year old would not be using some form of birth control. And also very unlikely that Mandy wanted anything other than a fun casual relationship with what she thought was a 24 year old guy. And birth control certainly can fail. I have a married friend who got pregnant twice using birth control, once with an IUD and the second time on the pill. It definitely makes no sense for a 29 and 17 year old to get married, and doesn't make sense also when only one of them (thinks he) is in love. So not sure where it should go, but the writing is funny as hell so I am just along for the ride.
  2. I abhor trophy hunters. And as others have said there were way too many pictures shown of husband and wife with their "trophies". I actually have no sympathy for the wife - one less person to kill defenseless animals. In fact there is a bit of irony that the hunter became the hunted. And I have no doubt that the husband killed her. I only hope he does get sent to prison, if only to have one less morally corrupt person hunting these magnificent animals. They showed a couple of pics of the daughter, and in one especially - wow, what an unattractive person, Maybe that was the reason for the digitally altered pic, but it didn't help.
  3. She was dropped from Russ's suit, but I don't think they ever said that the 4 friends sued her as well. She was dropped from Russ's suit because he wasn't allowed to sue Askey, which would mean his buddies would not be able to either. Which is a crime in my mind. What was mind numbingly stupid/prejudicial was that Russ's lawyer was not allowed to bring up that Pam benefited from Betsy's death and was the last known person to see her alive. BUT Askey was allowed to accuse 4 men of conspiring to help Russ kill Betsy, with not a shred of evidence and a far fetched theory. The judge should have been disbarred as well as Askey. They both lost their reelections, but I don't think that was enough. You should watch The Thing About Pam. It is fantastic. Not only did she say her morals, but her education and experience. But it was stated that Russ's case was her first murder case. So no experience. Nada. None. Zilch. Went hand in hand with her lack of morals. Nada. None. Zilch.
  4. I agree that I was shocked at how badly Pam covered her tracks, in both Betsy's murder and Louis's murder. For someone who was addicted to true crime/crime novels, you would think she would have learned a thing or two about what not to do. And yes, as I was watching Russ, Pam, pretty much everyone once again after watching The Thing About Pam, I was also struck by the fantastic casting. Renee really did nail Pam, and deserves and Emmy nod for her performance.
  5. OMG, that prosecutor had hubby and me yelling at the TV, and wondering why the f**k she isn't in jail along with Pam. What a vile human being. I don't know why she wasn't sued by Russ's four buddies in his first trial for totally making up a story that they covered for Russ, even fabricating a theory that one of them drove Russ's cell phone back to him after he killed Betsy. I guess like Russ, they are not allowed to sue the prosecutor, which is B.S. when she totally fabricated her theory without a shred of evidence. Thank goodness the new DA is going after her. And we are to believe that three different police officers are lying about her wanting them to lie on the stand? Doubtful. That may be the most annoyed bordering on mad I have ever seen Keith when half way through the episode, he told Askey that it was totally her job to go in a different direction if that is where the evidence led. Askey may not have killed anyone (at least not directly) but she is as low of a human as Pam is. Maybe one step above, but when you start at the bottom it isn't much of a step.
  6. Actually the card said that she had put her house up for sale, that she and Ryne(d) had separated for over a month, and that they were currently looking for a new home for a fresh start. Guess we will get an update at the reunion to hear if that is still the case. Shane saved the episode for me. I've always been a fan, and loved it when he showed Emily the ring and then snapped the box closed - LOL. I must say Gina looked very jealous as Shane kept stacking rings on Emily's finger. Maybe Emily will be Gina's target next year. It would make as much sense as Shannon being her target this year. The band thing was dumb. Lip syncing to an auto tuned song, and pretending to play instruments? As others have noted, I would expect that from maybe the teenaged kids of the howives. All in all a bust of a season. I wonder if they will shake up the cast next year? Jen is a waste of space. Noella is only useful because she gets under Heather's skin. Gina is too full of herself. I loved that the card at the end made reference to that - lol. The only one I care to see next year is Shannon, not only because I like her but also like her kids, her SO and especially Archie. And they can keep Emily only because Shane's snark is worth putting up with her.
  7. Well that was an interesting Dateline case of the murdered state senator. I knew of course that it wasn't the ex husband since Dateline spent so much of the first hour focusing on him as the prime suspect. They did do a good job of not shining a light on Becky, though I thought her comment to the police when she was interviewed that Linda would be mad at her for the things she was telling them was odd, considering Linda was dead and could not get mad. Kudos to the interviewer for noticing that Becky shed no tears and was fake crying. I did think that it was likely a female when they showed the person outside at Linda's covering themselves with a sheet- it definitely looked like a female form underneath the sheet. Linda's ex can't be too happy that Dateline focused so much on him, and it seems that much of what was said against him was said by Becky so possibly not even true. Also Dateline conveniently left out that in the letter Phillip wrote to dispute the allegations made against him, including Linda saying that he poisoned her with mercury, he stated that Linda had tooth filling that contained mercury removed, and that resolved her issues. Certainly an easily verifiable claim. The "gotcha" video of Becky with the bloody knife in her hand was unbelievable. If this was a fictional story and that was part of the script it would likely be removed as too far fetched. I did love when Dennis pointed out that the fiance was annoyed at what he thought were unfair and false allegations against Becky, but had no problem leveling false allegations against Linda's ex. Go Dennis!
  8. And that "I'm done" means that whomever they deem to be done with is to follow them and beg them to return. Or better yet apologize for whatever they have done to cause the "done" person to become undone.
  9. I loved Heather explaining to us the difference between a shit stirrer, and a truth teller. So basically Noella talking about Heather's treatment of others at the "Look At How Rich We Are" party was shit stirring. Emily constantly bringing up that she thinks Shannon is jealous of Gina and Heather's relationship is truth telling. Got it. Gina is a piece of work. So her co workers are supposed to know the names of her friends? GTFO. I assume Tat is a friend because she has a nice enough house to throw Gina a launch party since Gina lives in a shoebox? I wish Shannon had told Gina that people not remembering her friend's name was "tit for tat". I loved it when Gina stormed off, yelling repeatedly "I'm done". Usually when someone is done, they are, well, done.. Gina must have said it a dozen times. Or it just seemed like it. Half a dozen for sure. She has learned from Heather Dubrow how to make what she thinks is a dramatic exit but in reality looks silly AF.
  10. No wonder the Big 3 turned into obnoxious adults, when they were rewarded for being obnoxious children, As others have pointed out, they should have been reprimanded for locking the babysitter in the bathroom, not rewarded. And even if Rebecca was too drunk to know that they put themselves and the babysitter in danger by doing so, Jack should have known and acted accordingly. And all because the babysitter called Kate a Chatty Cathy, and told Kevin to go to sleep. The horrors. I guess it is no coincidence that my favourite characters on this show are the non Pearsons - Miguel and Toby. And Beth in smaller doses. It seems to be a theme with many viewers that we really don't care for the Pearson family. I can't imagine that that has been the writers intent over 6 seasons.
  11. I wasn't surprised that Isaiah was alive, because his parents didn't come across as people whose son was murdered. And certainly didn't come across as a mother who was still attached to her son by a symbolic umbilical cord, and a step father who introduced his step son to his eventual murderer. Also the crime scene looked staged to me. If the driver's side door was open and Isaiah was stepping out, why would the glass be broken. The angles just looked wrong. That said, OMFG. I was yelling in my head at the TV when John was talking about discussing killing his daughter with that psycho piece of shit. He is so lucky that while he was discussing it but before going to the police, she didn't go ahead and hire someone. Once again, OMFG. I am surprised that the FBI didn't set up a sting where they had someone posing as the hit man and Valerie paying him off. Wouldn't they know that otherwise there is no evidence that she hired someone, and it is only her word against John's? That said, she is a terrible actress - not a tear was shed in her performance when she was told Isaiah was murdered. However I don't blame Isaiah, his parents, John and his daughter for being afraid of Valerie. Her instability (to put it mildly) is in Pam Hupp territory.
  12. My favourite part of the episode was when Trevor looked at Sam when she asked why he has no pants and said "I thought you'd never ask". I felt it was a bit of a nod to the fans of the show who have been asking that question all season. I really don't care if a lot of the plot points don't make sense, Lots of things don't make sense to me. Why do ghosts need to sleep? Why do they need bedrooms? Why can they go through walls but don't drop through floors? I accept all as is written, because I love this show, all of the characters, and love spending time at the inn with them every week. It may be my fav show, as they always manage to make me smile, laugh, and often tear up to boot.
  13. If I had just been scrolling past the reunion pic of Emily, I would not have know it was her. Yikes. I have never understood why women think that having their boobs mostly uncovered and hanging out is a good look. It just makes her look like the dress is too small - again. The best thing I can say about Gina's outfit is that she has resisted the temptation to artificially inflate her breasts. That said, the skimpy top is very ill fitting and does nothing for her. Jen looks like she is wearing a bathing suit coverup. Heather's dress might have been OK without the belt but as others have said the belt emphasizes her short waist. Is that supposed to be a frill of some kind a few inches from the bottom? If so it comes off as looking like a big hem to me. Shannon is definitely the best dressed of the group, but it is a low bar.
  14. If Gina and Heather return next season, Noella MUST return. The fact that she is willing to stand up to Heather is the only thing that is making this season bearable. And I absolutely loved that when Gina gave Noella the stink eye, Noella gave it right back. Priceless. I always did think that there had to be more to the cancellation of Heather's party than what we saw. We did see Heather put her hand over the camera and demand that filming stop. But her outrage was off the charts, and should have been directed either at Gina (who she did not even know) or Nicole who lied to her for years. So I don't think that Noella is telling the truth is out of the realm of possibility. What happened to chummy Gina and Heather? Heather has dumped Gina for the master bedroom. Gina made fun of Heather being mad in the car. I loved Emily trying to get away from Gina by diving into the front seat. I often want to get away from Gina as well, and I'm not even in the same room.
  15. I was just coming here to say that as someone who is a year younger than Bruce Greenwood, I loved the scene between Randolph and Kit. I think Greenwood is a very handsome man, and looks damn good shirtless at 65. But then I have been a Greenwood fan for years, and he is the reason that I started watching the show. I am sure it is due to my age, but I would take a scene of a shirtless Greenwood over pretty much any other male cast member, other than maybe MJW. I liked all of the storylines in tonight's episode. I used to like The Good Doctor more than The Resident, but for the last couple of years The Resident has been my fav over TGD.
  16. I almost need to watch it again, because there were so many good comments from all of the hosts. Two things I remember Sheryl taking about specifically, One was that as a stand up comic she is now afraid that someone may take exception to a joke she makes and storm the stage (to paraphrase). Kathy Griffin said the same thing the day after the assault. The fact that the academy did nothing when it happened, or even after, certainly does not look good. And the longer they take to give Smith some form(s) of punishment, the worse they look. Sheryl also said that what bothers her is that everyone is talking about Will Smith, and no one is wondering how Chris Rock is doing. She if very bothered by that, as he is the one who was assaulted. Amanda pointed out that Chris has yet to make a statement, but it does not mean that people cannot express concern over how he is. I hope he is busy writing a ton of Will and Jada jokes for his upcoming tour, Apparently ticket sales have gone through the roof since Sunday night,
  17. I have read that Jada wanted an open marriage, Will did not. Will excused Jada's preference by saying that she was raised in a family where there was an open marriage so it was normal to her. I thought that Will's action in slapping Chris Rock was out of insecurity, and a declaration of how much he loves Jada. He even said in his speech that love makes you do crazy things. Otherwise how does he go from laughing at Chris' joke, to deciding to walk on to the stage and slap Chris, in a matter of seconds. I would love to have seen footage of what we didn't see in the time Will was laughing, Jada rolled her eyes and Will ending up on stage. I think the Smiths have a very unhealthy marriage, and the assault on Rock was a byproduct of that.
  18. I think it was Al Pacino who was shown hugging Chris Rock as they made their way backstage. Also saw a pic from an afterparty of Al, Chris and I think the other two who were with Al at the awards. Jim Carry said that Chris didn't sue because he doesn't want the hassle. I think also because Chris will use this in his stand up routine for years to come. As he should. I bet tickets for his upcoming shows are selling like hotcakes. I hope Smith gets at least a ban on attending next year's ceremony. And that Chris is brought back to present again. He can make a joke about Jada not being invited. Again.
  19. I have been hit or miss on watching lately though thoroughly enjoy the show when I do have time to watch, I have tuned in the last two days to get the hosts' take on the whole Will Smith debacle. Both days have been great IMO, and I especially have found Sheryl's comments as a comedian enlightening. I loved today's comments from pretty much all of the hosts that Smith's "apology" sounded like it was written by a lawyer, and that it should have been a video taped apology. Mind you Smith is an actor so he could have faked sincerity, but as Jerry said the written statement basically did not convey remorse (my words).
  20. Brilliant post, JUDYOBSCURE, and above is my favourite part. I find the Smiths to be huge attention cravers, and they both talk non stop about their marriage. I don't even watch Jada's show, but know tons about their marriage because they are ALWAYS. TALKING. ABOUT. IT! My feeling is that if your marriage requires that much work and causes that much angst, you are with the wrong person. Last year a talk show showed a segment of Jada's show. I wish I could remember who the guest was, but the guest was sharing a very personal point of view based on her experience. Willow, all of about 21 years of age, told the guest that they were wrong. All I could think was "What a pretentious snot". Pretty much sums up my feelings on the whole family. Rock could have made many jokes about the Smiths because they put themselves out there, all the time. They got off easy. Rock did not.
  21. That's what I don't understand. Why do people assume it was an insult? GI Jane wasn't a wimp and Demi Moore looked great in that film. Many women shave their heads because they like the look, find it much easier than caring for a head of hair, and have a head shape that suits it. Not every woman that shaves her head does it for medical reasons. On The Talk yesterday Sheryl Underwood said that Chris Rock did not know that Jada has alopecia. Guest host Paula Abdul said that she did not. I am sure lots of people didn't know, myself included. It is quite possible that many people do not know everything there is to know about the Smiths (other than their marriage problems which they discuss ad nauseum).
  22. It sounds like Belinda is rebuilding her relationship with Rob, so maybe her daughters are as well and she just didn't talk about them. It is also possible that they have been influenced heavily by their fathers' family, who still think Rob is guilty and refuse to believe that Lee would commit suicide. I was very impressed by Belinda's biological father and step mother who said that they totally believed that Lee killed himself. They would have been witness to Lee's behavior over the years, and in their profession certainly know his personality type and traits.
  23. Michael's son Shane is now 17, so Tristan is in his early 20s. The fact that she has not seen either of her kids since they were small hopefully means that they will want nothing to do with her when she gets out. I was surprised that even her parents have not seen her in years. I don't know if they said who raised Tristin after Wendi went to prison - her parents or his bio father.
