  1. More fun on Thriller Bark. No big reveal of Moria yet. Sanji winds up missing, while the rest of the heavy hitters deal with the house zombies. The Chopper/Nami/Usopp team get one-shotted by Ryuma the zombie general. Also: zombie song-and-dance number, complete with disco ball. And if you mute the volume, the sequence can be paired with "Single Ladies." Saw this on Toonami's Tumblr. Is it artistic license, or do you think Luffy can do that with his tongue?
  2. So he's gonna give Russell Hantz an idol in a few years? And how is he going to write an accompanying letter? It'll come out looking like chicken-scratch.
  3. Just to be safe . . . did we get footage of Burnie & Ashley running in the next episode? Or maybe the show is having Brodie observe the rest of the race so he can pick up the rest of the season's episode titles. Leg averages after ten episodes: 2.50 (2.25) Tyler & Korey 2.60 (2.50) Brodie & Kurt 3.20 (3.00) Burnie & Ashley 3.50 (3.63) Dana & Matt 5.20 (5.00) Sheri & Cole Like I said in the episode thread, I would not be surprised if Rooster Teeth wind up winning in the finale. I also tried to apply the ratio between teams finishing a leg in front of the pack to the number of times they lagged. With median finishes (sixth of 11, fifth of 9, etc.), I put in 0.5 to both sides. Here's what I got: 5.67 Burnie & Ashley (8.5/1.5) 4.00 Tyler & Korey (8/2) 4.00 Brodie & Kurt (8/2) 1.86 Dana & Matt (6.5/3.5) 0.11 Sheri & Cole (1/9)
  4. Anybody else think "Bucky Bo" is an awesome name for a reality show? It would have been worth giving Tom a third shot at the million to have his son on BvW. Also, I could have revived my "Tom loves goats a lot" running gag and run that sumbitch into the ground.
  5. OnceSane . . . I was focusing on the hair when I put two and two together. I wonder if Chris watches the show, especially with its history of whacking Mormonism. I still like Ceejai, because I want to root for at least one person. Dean and Sabrina fighr for the second and third positions, and the odds of them becoming Challenge veterans are slim. I could totally see Dione being a longtime Challenger, and that's a little depressing.
  6. "Zoldyck"? Is that the final evolution of Psyduck/Golduck? </pokemongeek>
  7. Don't forget Doritos and Colby's Mom and Her Makeup. Or Fan Vs. Favorites, where you had Tracy and Tracy's Protruding Nipples. Also: Joel almost killing Chet in the worst thought-out challenge ever conceived (which knocked Jonathan Penner out of the game), the Black Widow alliance, Erik getting dumped on, and "It's a stick!"
  8. Anybody into South Park? With his hair, Chris reminds me of Bradley -- Butters' "Accountabiltibuddy" -- from "Cartman Sucks." Here's a pic from the episode. I think I'm onto something.
  9. In regards to the Double U-Turn . .. I have two suggestions: 1. If a team is U-Turned, they must complete the second task before being allowed to come back and potentially doing the same to another team. 2. Once the U-Turn is used the first time, the second team cannot put up the team that activated the first U-Turn. I'm not a fan of Brodie & Kurt, and I'm okay with Burnie & Ashley's tactics, but I feel the Frisbee Bros got a little hosed.
  10. "He almost lost the game when he kept taking the wrong path in Romania. Also, if Luke hadn't flubbed the final Roadblock, Victor and Tammy would have gotten second place." Good season. Dunno if it was "five entrants on Second Chances" good, though. I was amused that four of those teams went out first, and Kisha & Jen wound up winning. ETA: I meant Unfinished Business. My bad.
  11. I'd like to see Twila, who was buried on a crap season. I still figure she gave Chris his win when his back was against the wall. Crystal, on the other hand, can sit and spin. I think she was the worst part of Gabon, and the definition of "epic fail." Also, she had to give back her gold medal after she failed a drug test. Hmmmmmm . . . I wonder if you can "ship" her with Scot. You know who I'd want to be considered? Francesca. Put her under "Plan Z" in case Plans A-Y fall through. I think she could make it a few weeks into the game because she wouldn't be on the same tribe as Special Agent Philip. Hated that guy so much.
  12. BlueJayFan . . . there's a topic on the forum that covers past seasons in general. If you want to pick some brains, that would be the place. Also, if Mark wound up surviving this season and Second Chances and came to the Reunion, he would get more time from Probst than Joe.

You do that, Cleo. In the meantime, I gotta figure out when I'll get to Citi Field. I'm thinking of attending the special day celebrating the 1986 team, the last group of Mets to win the World Series. They won a decade-best 108 games, and they almost needed the maximum amount to beat the Astros and Red Sox.
  14. I'm still waiting on the "Baseball Blues" episode because it's very funny to me. I liked it a lot, especially with a hematoma-addled Mugen giving the narrator a hard time. Saw a few "Meet The Heroes" clips from My Hero Academia. Seems too "kiddy" for Toonami. If this was an afternoon block, sure, you can pair it with Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. ETA: I like one of the transitions for Samurai Champloo .. . . before going into commercial, we get: "Without further ado . . . IT'S EXECUTION TIME!" Cue Jin and Fuu being lifted on crosses. It just seems funny to me for some reason.

There's always room on the Mets bandwagon. They broke a team record last night, scoring 12 runs in the third inning, capped off by a Cespedes grand slam.
  16. I'm guessing the more adult stuff will come eventually. Violence and bloodshed . . . not expecting acting R-rated contact with those characters. ETA: More table-setting this week, as we meet the other candidates for the Hunter Exam . . . including the skateboard-riding kid from the opening credits and the dude from the closing whose appearance screams "NEMESIS!" Also, you can sneak laxatives into soda cans. Thankfully, we don't get a repeat of the time Naruto drank spoiled milk.
  17. Just saw the latest credits. I usually tune out because the show doesn't do 'em like they used to. I'm thinking Mark is getting a spot there because he's gonna be dinner soon. If Tai gets voted off and Jason survives to Day 39, I would totally expect Fat Ogre to wear Mark's head on a makeshift necklace.
  18. Checked my blog . . . turns out that Brodie & Kurt have the best leg average for a fourth or fifth-place team that lasted a minimum of ten legs. Their 2.60 barely surpasses Andy & Tommy's 2.63 in TAR19. I laughed at Tyler being attracted to his "coach." Yes, I'm 12, apparently.
  19. Just checking to see if anybody remembers this place after the great shakeup.
  20. I know that Brodie & Kurt are buttheads (or at least Brodie), and I know you should hate the game . . . but the Frisbee Bros. going out like they did? Crap. I think there should be a rule about U-Turning a team that has done that to another pair. I mean, the biggest headache is now Dana, the game is freed up, and Brodie would probably have stunk up the remaining Roadblocks, but "unsporting" is a proper term. I'm willing to bet money that Burnie & Ashley win in two weeks. Yes, Tyler & Korey are good, but Rooster Teeth displays the same consistency as Kelsey & Joey. And I think it would be good to just win the final leg because they would save a lot on taxes on the trips. I bet Justin probably bangs his head against the wall while filing last week. Who are we kidding? Diana probably did it for the both of them. And yes, Cole gets props for taking the plunge. The kid may be a headache, but he's not a big one. Of course, I'll be shocked if he and Sheri wind up winning.
  21. Chris is still a punk. At least he got a good storyline this week. Good that BMP let him go to Salt Lake City. Just one week: "For the next 24 hours, you have to act like adults." "*sigh* I'll pack my carny gear . . ." Anybody else expect sherpas to carry the kids up the mountain while the cameras were "distracted"? ETA: The Girl Code/Ladylike bitch session was funny. I like how others aren't fond of the hoverboards.

"Now that I think about it, I did sit on a syringe last week. Damn it, Barry."
  23. I DVRed Archer and The Real World at 10 p.m. I wound up recording IAS after 1, and I discovered that they leave in the cursing at that time. Just something y'all should know about. I'm going to show my mother the Game of Thrones sketch, since she's a fan. And maybe the gun shopping as well. I feel that Amy is taking on issues with a sledgehammer, but she's looking good doing it for now.
  24. Two words: No Hawkpeople. I don't mind Kendra, but reincarnation and time travel don't mix. If DC Comics wants to set up a WWII-era Justice Society for their shows, how about Jack Knight from the Seventies? I figure that would work better than saying "The JSA is forever young," and you'd save on makeup by not portraying Mikka Tomas.
  25. I need to get Netflix. Daredevil and Jessica Jones were reasons enough, but I like Maria Bamford, and I'd like to see her autobio show.
