  1. I asked the same thing but I did notice in the beginning talking head segment, Jenny mentioned that the owner (Rebecca?) wanted high end finishes everywhere so that may have been more a directive than a choice by Jenny. But that made me ask why spend for high end finishes in a rental house? I'm not suggesting you go cheap but there is a happy medium. If (when) something gets broken, it will be difficult and expensive to replace custom made fixtures. Unless I missed it, they never said what was in the other building right next door which looked to be on the same property. My thought is that is the owner's house (or at least their second house if they live in Florence most of the time) and they'll be around to deal with the cheese and the sheep occasionally. I do think the entrance to the cheese cellar was on the outside of the house and that there was no access from inside the house, so the owners would not have to go in and out of the house. I actually googled it after the finale. If looks like you can rent the whole house for about 4,000 euros for 5 days. If you had 6 people split that, its about 670 euros per person. A hotel at 150 euros/night would be 750 for 5 days. Granted, you could have two people in the hotel room for 750 but the house would give you access to a kitchen and more space. I actually thought it would be listed for more than that. If they rented it every week, it would take them 2.5 years to recoup their renovation budget so they would still need to recoup the purchase price. Unless that cheese makes them a lot of money, it will be quite some time before they see any profit. Plus, the website says its only available for rent between May and October. I have no idea what they are doing with the property the rest of the year. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me but there must be some rationale for it.
  2. I really enjoyed this episode - there were some laugh out loud moments for me. I loved the exchange between Harry and Asta ... "and rescue D'arcy, right?" "We'll see how we're doing on time." I was really happy for D'arcy during the scene with her father. Between that, and the honest conversations she and Asta have been having, I have hopes for "less of a mess" D'arcy going forward. It will be nice to see the growth. I think next season we will see those that know about Harry expand to include Liv and Mr. & Mrs. Mayor. I can't wait to see them find out that Max has known for a long time. Hopefully we won't have to wait as long for the next season as we did for this one.
  3. My thought was the relatives were told not to discuss with anyone and Clark Gregg said he was approached by the other lady at the bank the prior week. Maybe they were concerned she had gone to the police and they were trying to eliminate all of the witnesses outside of prison. If they left the families alone and killed the prisons, then there was no reason for the families not to go to the police at that point. I don't think it had anything to do with being late on payments. The other almost victims were people the lady had also reached out to.
  4. Obviously, TV recovery but I saw her as unable to to back to NASA due to the trauma. That fact caused her stress and depression because apparently her family needed her to have that job. Now, she has a new focus and purpose that doesn't involve working at NASA. She can be useful and work on something she finds interesting. It doesn't cure her PTSD but it probably helps her depression. Or at least masks it for the time being.
  5. My post-college niece is visiting and I made some comment about the Thanksgiving episode and she looked puzzled and I found out she had never even heard of WKRP. We promptly pulled out the DVDs and watched the Pilot Parts 1 &2 and then the Thanksgiving episode. She was hooked and we've been watching other episodes. We just watched The Contest Nobody Could Win and I was shocked to find out that episode has an alternate ending. I always remember it ending with Johnny walking into the lobby with the stolen briefcase but the DVD ended with Johnny borrowing money from Venus and talking about his wages being garnished to pay back the money. I think I like the alternate ended better. Edited to add: after I posted, I just scrolled up and read some of the older posts and I see someone mentioned the alternate ending in 2019. I'm having so much fun re-watching with someone who hasn't seen the show before!
  6. My assumption was that he and Sareth and their child went off to live somewhere anonymously and Demerzel is going to let them? I wasn't sure because she also talked about hunting them down. I hope since he basically relinquished his claim to the Empire throne, she just move on with her 3 new Empires and let poor Dawn go since he wouldn't be a threat. Don't really know how everyone on the planet survived in the vault since we thought we explicitly saw Poly get wiped out when the ship hit Terminus but I'm happy they did. I thought it was sad that Constant's fathers died without knowing she was still alive so glad they were all reunited. I enjoyed Bel and Hober's nice moment before space folded in on them. I am sorry that we will probably not see any (many?) of these characters in the next chapter since we are 152 years in the future (aside from Gaal, Hari, Demerzel and Empire that is).
  7. I would agree but they sort of set the stage for this before she left for Trantor when she outlined to Hobor how she thought things would go between the two of them. And I don't think it happened solely because she couldn't contain her desires or she was so turned on it. I think experiencing sex was something she wanted to do and she simply took the opportunity because who knows if she would get another one. Given that she was very nearly beheaded I can forgive her "this may be my only shot" attitude. I do think it was a different chamber than we saw before because I don't think we've ever seen a door open in the mural. I'm not sure if Day has ever been there before as I said, I think this was a different place. That being said, I guess it is possible that he has been there but doesn't remember it because I think it was made clear that Demerzel has been wiping his/their memories. The original Cleon had almost 300 units of memory but all the Dusks since then only had about 87 units. I think Demerzel has made sure there is a huge chunk of Cleon I's memories that the clones don't have.
  8. I completely missed it - what was Leia reference?
  9. When Sabine was there by herself trying to move the cup, I started chanting "I am one with the force; the force is with me." It helps that they've been running Rogue One nonstop and I keep coming in at the same part where Chirrut is going for the master switch.
  10. Speaking of quotes, I did enjoy the one in this last episode where in response to Raylan getting up to get save Mansell from the Albanians, Carolyn said "Goddamn it Raylan" and he replied, "Yeah, I get that a lot."
  11. I sort of get where Carolyn was coming from. She tried to let the law do its thing. She turned over the Judge's book to use to tie Mansell to his murder and that didn't work because he was tipped off. Then, he shot and killed Sweetie and she turned the gun over so the law could tie him to his crimes and again, a dirty cop let him get away. Then, he came to threaten her and apparently the law couldn't do anything to stop him. I get why the Albanians became an option she would consider. I also assume that although Mansell wasn't reaching for his gun when Raylan shot him, I'm pretty sure he still had the gun he used to shoot all the Albanians. Raylan may have sped up the process but the stand off between those two wouldn't have ended any other way. Raylan would have insisted on arresting him and Mansell wasn't going to let that happen. I think Sandy got on the plane and left town after she arranged the meet up with Mansell although considering Mansell and all of the Albanians are dead, there really isn't any reason she had to leave. It was nice to see all of the Justified characters at the end. If they do another season, I'll certainly watch but it wouldn't surprise me if they left it like this. If they do another season, Raylan will eventually put Boyd back in prison and I think most people are happier knowing that Boyd is out. I do hope he notifies Ava but at least Boyd thinks she's dead so he won't spend time looking for her.
  12. The problem with Carol is that it is easy to criticize because we have no idea what she's been doing. Aside from showing up to fight Thanos (and promptly leaving again), she's been gone for 30 years with no explanation. Even when she answered Fury's text, we weren't given any information about what she is doing. I am envisioning her being like '70s Hulk - travelling from planet to planet, helping people out and then moving on. Without any other explanation or insight, its kind of hard not to think she didn't just forget about finding the Skrulls a home - whether that is true or not.
  13. Just wait until Luthen hears how Cassian took down an entire Empire prison. Luthen doesn't yet know how much he hit the jackpot by recruiting Cassian.
  14. I thought Mason didn't have a vial prepared for her because he didn't ever want her to get her memory back. Unless they find another way to recreate the memories, I think she is screwed.
  15. I was okay with it because he was willing to live with the consequences of his actions. He didn't expect or ask to go back to Richmond. He was perfectly aware that he was the one who messed up and that he didn't deserve to go back there after the way he behaved. He was back through the grace of others and he was truly humble in his return as "assistant to the kit man". Can't find the quote but someone mentioned that most pilots don't take their kids to work so it was unlikely that he would have his daughter there. As the child of a retired flight attendant, I know for a fact that a lot of times employees wear their uniforms when travelling for personal reasons. Being in uniform allows you to ride the jump seat which increases your ability to get on planes when travelling space available. I'm good with the ending. The vagueness of some of it allows you to choose your ending. If you wanted Ted to get back with Michelle, you can assume they did. If you didn't want Ted to do that, you can assume they are just co-parenting. I am choosing to believe Roy works through his issues with Dr. Sharon and he and Keely eventually get back together. I will miss these people!
  16. My thoughts are that Ted is like Mary Poppins (Apologies if that isn't an original thought and I read it here or somewhere else - it is not my intent to take credit for someone else's idea). He showed up, helped out some people and then will move on, leaving everyone in a better place. I've also decided that end game is not for Nate to end up back at Richmond - he seems to be doing well as a head coach so I would expect him to move on from Rupert into another head coach position. I do think Nate's journey is about deciding for himself the kind of person he wants to be - like Rupert who appears to have all of the respect that Nate has craved; or be more like Ted who is a good person.
  17. That's exactly what I thought. I told Mr. Stanwyck that the think Nadia didn't want Mason to know was that she had a baby and the mysterious person she reached out to is her spy mother who has been watching the child for the last eight years. When Nadia and Mason/Kyle were making eyes as each other, I ask how the romance was supposed to work given that he had a lovely wife already - unless they made her a Manticore agent. Lo and behold, we got the end scene that seem to confirm that she was. Making his wife an agent brings up more questions - Manticore seemed to think Mason was dead so how would they have placed an agent with him to pretend to be his wife. Then again, Twin 1 seems to believe "Abby" is dead, so it doesn't seem like Manticore did put "Abby" into "Kyle's" path. So, did Stanley put them together? I didn't realize he knew Mason was alive - I thought he found out when the DNA was run but I guess the DNA was what made him reveal himself to Kyle and prior to that he had been content to keep an eye on him from afar. It's kind of mindless fun so I shouldn't let myself get so bogged down in the details.
  18. I hope Angie is okay too. She's got enough going on in her life without adding paralysis. Besides, she should have some good karma coming her way since she saved Betty instead of herself.
  19. I'm not really concerned that they will pair up Nell and Edward but I do wonder if they will pair Edward and Cricket. I know there is an age difference but I just get something from their scenes that makes me wonder.
  20. Well, with the price of this home being somewhere between $2m - $3m, I'd say the potential home owners will be very rich. My husband and I were having the same conversation and I pointed out that we are not the target buyer for these homes. Then Allison came in and said she works out at home every morning and gets a massage so there you go. I also thought you did not need another full kitchen downstairs but one of the judges liked that there was a full kitchen rather than a kitchenette. Its a basement - a sink, a fridge and a microwave would be perfectly fine for most basement activities. If you spend a lot of time down there eating, drinking and snacking, then a dishwasher would also be great because you know kids aren't bringing up dirty dishes as often as they should. I thought Bryan and Sarah would have done better if they used half for their wellness center and half for family lounging and activities.
  21. Ian said in this episode that they wrote every line of code for Ziggy. That got me thinking about original Ziggy - where is it? I'm sure they must have addressed it at the beginning of the series but I don't remember. Can someone remind me? What OZ destroyed? I just assumed the current QL was using an updated version but that's not how it sounded.
  22. I agree - I'm not much on plant maintenance but they did say that they wouldn't have to worry about watering because it was on a timer and the material the plants were growing in would keep all of the weeds out so if that is true, maybe it wouldn't be that bad. I would assume with people not being there 100% of the time, it would need to be low maintenance or it wouldn't survive.
  23. What I got from it: Eric testified against Ricardo and entered Witness Protection. Ricardo got out and tortured Eric's dad to find out where Eric was and then killed him. Eric came to town and kidnapped Ricardo's brother in order to find Ricardo. He did not intend to kill Ricardo so he wore a wire and wanted to get Ricardo to confirm killing his dad. Either the meeting did not go well or Ricardo tried to kill him on first sight causing Eric to run and hide in the dumpster where he hit his head. Ricardo apparently couldn't find him in the dumpster and was driving around the neighborhood looking for him. Not sure what happened to the wire he was wearing if he was wearing it to meet Ricardo right before he ended up in the dumpster. I took him trying to jump in front of Robyn as a sign that he was a good guy not so much that he was a bad ass. At that point they didn't know if he was a good guy or a bad guy but his first instinct when the bullets started flying was to protect someone else. There was a quick line at the beginning of his story where he said he wandered into a bar and the bartender heard him telling his story and directed him to Robyn's online ad. He called and I think I heard them say Harry told him to come to the bar.
  24. My thought is that she decided not to tell him because she is afraid of what he might do to the man. I don't think she wants Will to do anything that would get him into trouble.
  25. So, I am confused. Didn't Martinez say to Ben (before he stabbed him) something along the lines of "I'm sorry but I can't let you mess up my mission"? If that is the case, doesn't that mean Addison is no longer in danger? Didn't Ben leap because Addison died and he wanted to save her? If Addison died because she was the leaper, isn't that all moot at this point and there is no more danger for Addison? It seems with Martinez trying to kill Ben that it wasn't about Addison - it is about whomever is leaping.
