  1. I watched the first two episodes last night and enjoyed them. I feel like comedies take a few episodes to gel and really get the feel of all of the characters. My husband enjoyed it but he is highly sensitive to second-hand cringe and watching Molly at the press conference was hard for him. I'm definitely willing to keep watching. And your right, I do get a little "The Good Place" vibe although I don't think Molly was ever as horrible as Elanor was at the start. Molly's out of touch but she seems to have a good heart.
  2. Regarding the privilege issue, I assume (as I am not a lawyer) that privilege extends to your entire legal team - which Bull was part of, even if not an attorney. Regarding finances going forward, I'm sure he has a large chunk of that settlement money, Marissa was buying TAC from him and not for nothing, I believe Izzy has money of her own and is currently running a business. I do agree that Bull will be bored just sitting around but he is in the enviable position of being able to afford to do whatever he wants without worrying about paying the bills. I'm sure he'll find something to occupy his time.
  3. I know some people didn't like Chen/Nolan romance because of the age difference but I preferred that one because at least there was no power imbalance between the two. count me on the no Chen/Bradford train. They are fine as friends and partners but I would prefer not to see a romance. Unfortunately, I'm bracing myself because I feel like it's coming. I also thought Tim seemed unhappy with the no marriage/no kids stance.
  4. I assumed (who knows if I am correct) that those guys were from the rich dude's compound - not just random guys. I did not know about the asylum so I spent a couple of minutes just going WTF. I am very curious about next week.
  5. I don't think Robyn was unsympathetic to his overall situation - what she was unsympathetic to was the fact that he handed Jenna over to the robbers.
  6. Haven't read the books but have been enjoying the series. I read the comments in the "anticipation" discussion about how much Lamb farts and smokes in the books. My husband was glad I told him about that because we were both a little confused about the number of fart references. 😀 I think somehow reporter guy (Hobden) or someone he told, was finally able to get in touch with the kidnappers and pass along his information about MI-5.
  7. Me too! I kept telling my husband "I don't trust Grant Ward - I think he's setting her up". Now that it looks like he is a good guy, I'd be happy to see him from time to time. I haven't seen him since Agents of Shield so I'm glad for the actor.
  8. I laughed way too hard at the old folks in the bounce house. "Why does that one old guy keep jumping? He's popcorning every body" It just wasn't what I was expecting and it made me laugh out loud.
  9. Maybe Flower should take advantage of therapy to deal with her intimacy issues. It seems to have helped Thor. So many funny lines - unfortunately, I'm drawing a blank on them today. I will just have to go back and re-watch. 😀
  10. I did laugh when the bus went speeding by. "The passengers on the bus will be at the beach in 7 minutes". "Too fast! That's too fast!"
  11. I thought she was a victim Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome but was too lazy to look up when she was actually born, so thanks for providing that information. The thing that seemed off to me was how peaceful she was with the idea that her dad could be dying right in front of her. It didn't ring true for a kid that has recently lost her mother. I did like the confirmation that Nick and Jimmy continue to be friends off-screen. I don't need to see it or hear about it every episode, but its nice to occasionally see it. I may have even been a little moved by Nick's nod to Jimmy that he would be there to look out for Victoria.
  12. Technically, I don't think we know for sure if anyone else went. Lilly and Veronica went on their own - maybe others did too. We know Lilly and Veronica got held up by the bear trap and Eve and the others got delayed while fighting LaBrea's version of "The Others" There could have been others that walked there, didn't step in a bear trap or do battle with the others, and went through the light - we just didn't see it. We might find out next season that half of the nonspeaking red shirts are missing because they went to 1988. We know Rebecca presented the option to everyone but we only heard the discussion from the leads. Drug Dealer and his mother were going through and Veronica wanted to go through with Lilly. Gay couple decided to avoid the homophobic 80;s, Navy Seal and his daughter wanted to find a way back to their family in 2021, and Ty decided not to go because if they can't do anything for him in 2021, what are they going to do for him in 1988?
  13. I think he and Riley stayed because they said they hadn't given up hope of finding a way back to 2021 where their family was. I can see drug dealer being fine to go back to 1988 because he apparently didn't have any significant connections in 2021. That's why Veronica was willing to go to 1998 because 2021 didn't hold anything for her but Lilly wanted to go back to her family in 2021 which she couldn't do in 1988. I don't think Gavin and Lilly/Ella were in danger of disappearing because the timeline where they were born wasn't altered. On the other hand, if Gavin/Isiah didn't go to 1988, he doesn't grow up there, meet Eve and conceive Josh and Izzy so they disappear. I believe she said they were no longer around but they left traps. I thought those chains looked like something you could find in the Civil war era so it could have come with whoever brought the gold. The plot holes in the show are bigger than the LA sinkhole but, in spite of that, I'll be back for season 2.
  14. I feel like a few episodes back, Day or Dusk brought up Hari and the other asked why even think about him anymore - he was long dead and I think they implied his followers were no threat without him. Knowing he was dead long before they made it to Terminus, I can see why they may not be too worried about them or even check to make sure the group was wiped out. Did I miss it, or did we ever figure out why first Holo-Hari and Raach were supposed to go to Hari's home world? Are there consequences to Hari's plan since Raach isn't going to make it there? Does the 138 year time jump mean we get new characters next season? I guess we keep Gaal, Salvor, Lee Pace, Demerzel and Holo-Hari but won't everyone else have to be new?
  15. I'm not convinced it is Holo-Hari. We were told that he was "buried" in a coffin of his own design and I thought it would be real Hari on the ship with Gaal. Since that was Holo-Hari, maybe real Hari has been entombed on Terminus this whole time. Not sure how whatever coffin/space pod he was launched in connected with the vault on Terminus but I think we just found not-dead Hari.
  16. I am finding it refreshing that Parker is so pleasant. I like Mark Harmon but Gibbs has been a d*ck for a long time and it felt like it had gotten worse lately.
  17. Levi's plane didn't land in the settlement area - they had to go hike to get to his plane. Last night when Eve and Cop Lady showed up, Levi wanted to know where the passengers were - they were going to be ferried to the plane by jeep. The excavation sight is where they are settled. So, when the plane crashed with people on it, it crashed in the settlement area. When the plane didn't take off, it disappeared from the excavation site because it will now decompose away from that site where it originally landed. So stupid of the farm lady (I don't know anyone's name) to jump out of a plane without being explicitly clear with Gavin. Hey, here's what you need to do if you want to bring people home, not "go figure out what happened in 1988". I hate that trope so much - give clear information to the people that need it. Poor Diana - she survived 3 years only to die within a few hours of meeting the newest sinkhole crew. And poor Ty - I knew she was going to hit him but I still jumped when she did.
  18. Some of the stuff seems to be there when they purchased the house (obviously not the fire place or the powder room) - I don't know how it passed inspection.
  19. She actually went over budget because she sold the appliances for $1,650. So if she only had $3.25 left over, it means she spent $121,646.75. I agree, it always seems like she spends all that she has. I hope the owners are given more input than we see.
  20. I just assumed Cinda has a police scanner and heard about cops being dispatched to the Arconia. Given everything that has happened there, it makes sense to me that she would want to know what was going on there now.
  21. I feel like on other renovation shows, when an unexpected issue comes up that eats into the budget, they usually look for ways to recoup the costs. In this case, did Jasmine need to spend $1,000 to paint the appliances? The old stove was white and the homeowner had bought stainless dishwasher and fridge fairly recently. Then Jasmine buys a new stainless stove but spends $1,000 to paint the dishwasher and fridge off white. Why? Clearly the homeowner like stainless since she bought the appliances in the first place. Clearly, stainless wasn't a design issue since Jasmine purchased a stainless stove. What was the point, other than to waste $1,000. Also, I believe she spent $2,300 on the wallpaper. If you are $4,000 over budget, do you really need tp spend that much on custom wallpaper? If she wanted a feature wall, there is still a lot you can do with paint for way less than $2,300. The woman was using money for her business to cover the overage - wouldn't giving her the $3,300 back ($1,000 for appliances & $2,300 for wallpaper) be a better way to go?
  22. $200k seemed like a lot for what they got. As soon as they said it, I knew she would spend every penny although I didn't think it was necessary - especially once they discovered the pipes were fine. Jasmine said custom cabinets are expensive so why buy them. You could custom build the island if you wanted but I didn't see any reason the rest of the kitchen couldn't be stock cabinets. I would love to know how much actual say the home owners get. If she had shown me a budget of $200k and $20k was allocated to new pipes that I ultimately didn't need, I'd want the $20k back so I could use it for something else - like college for the girls. Maybe money isn't an issue and they didn't care but I would have.
  23. Thanks so much for the clarification! Regarding Gary Cole, I just went to the media thread and sure enough there is a possibility that he will be joining the cast. So now all my mysteries have been solved! 😀
