The one exception I can think of was Sally on "3rd Rock From The Sun". I think it only lasted one episode, and it was her choice to stop shaving, but she definitely had hairy pits.

Andy opened Opie's window and told him he'd have to listen to the birds chirp for their mama. Opie decided to take care of the birds by himself.

There was an article in my local paper today about Johnny Gilbert. I had a brief moment of panic, thinking he'd died, but it was fortunately just a feel-good story. I had no idea that Johnny was born and raised in Virginia!

Well, I guess I'm a terrible person, too, since I didn't think middle woman looked like a typical Aerosmith fan either. And it has nothing to do with age.

I liked Nurse Peggy, too.

I had no idea for FJ tonight. But I did get Washington DC, backgammon, and Cloud City. Did Julia dot the "i" in her name with a heart last night? I noticed it tonight. Is she actually an eight-year-old? I don't know any grown people who do that. Also, I take exception to Whitney's answer for the countries on the island of Great Britain. I heard her say, "Wales, Scotland, and Island." J-archive says she said England, but I didn't hear it. At best I heard "Ireland", which is wrong.

Ellie wasn't perfect, but she was miles better than Helen.

Sort of. She was going to until she found out he wanted to take her to the skeet shoot. She showed up dressed to shoot, and as we know, beat Andy. After the shooting match, she grilled him with similar questions and just gave him an earful before stalking off. He was appropriately chagrined, then told Barney and Thelma Lou that he'd just lost another contest -- the battle of the sexes. Then he ran off after Karen to ask her out again.

Nah, he just wanted to take her out. Barney got his knickers in a twist over it, though.

Different times. Possibly different culture. I'm not much younger than Opie/Ron Howard, and I grew up in a small town (complete with town drunk!) and we all had toys that could injure you. Or, y'know, shoot your eye out. And yet, somehow, we survived.

Andy didn't make Opie take care of the baby birds. Opie came up with that all on his own.

I don't suppose "Who was the bad guy in the movie 'The Three Musketeers'" would have counted for FJ today, right? I just could not come up with his name. But I did get hovercraft, Queensberry, A Room With A View, Being There, Gibralter, and sigma. Incidentally, those barns are not used for the cultivating of tobacco, but for the drying tobacco after it's harvested. Not a fan of the new champ.

"9:00 am in the morning." As opposed to what? 9:00 am in the afternoon? I don't think it works that way.

I got them all. I couldn't necessarily identify all the photos, but most times just one photo was plenty. I did guess on a couple, and got lucky. I apparently used to watch too much television!

Even though Andy comes around in the end, I really hate how he treats Ellie in the episode where Ellie decides to run for town council. It's like he forgot that she's a damn pharmacist when he tells her not to worry her pretty little head about anything but shopping and trying on clothes and other woman-things. And they were standing in the drug store! I liked Ellie a lot.

I like Mayim's enthusiasm and delight at some of the clues/responses.

I had to think about FJ for a few seconds, but I got it in time to write it down. I'm glad end woman got to play in FJ in the end, but I'm sad that our champ lost. Not that I don't like the new champ, mind you, but I would have liked to see Robin continue. The only TS I got were Alexander and Shakespeare. I was surprised at both of those being TS, especially Shakespeare! Middle guy, the English professor, should be embarrassed at missing that.

I must have zoned out for the Chief Joseph question. I would have known it, but I don't even remember it!

Instaget FJ for me tonight. Congrats to the new champ -- I was rooting for her. But there were so many TS tonight! Ones I got include frog's hair, golden apples, Geiger, Copernicus, Amazon, Ron Howard, Gettysburg Address, Luke, shrewd, and sapiens. @Katy M, maybe your "Romsblend" is Ron Howard? I continue to enjoy Mayim's hosting.
