  1. Collect necklaces? Well, it's no eat pizza, I guess....
  2. I have to say, I am impressed that Hung and Chee have done the whole race with just the one backpack.
  3. I completely guessed for FJ, and guessed the only one I could think of who might have been in the right time period. I was shocked! Shocked, I tell you! to find out I was correct. I am generally terrible at Royalty. I also got Snake River and Begorra.
  4. I am Pixar's bitch. There are very few Pixar movies I didn't see on opening weekend. Onward was quite possibly the last movie I saw in the theater in the Before Times.
  5. Instaget FJ for me tonight. The year was a giveaway -- otherwise, it might have been Alfred E. Neuman. The only two TS I got were Onward and mandolin.
  6. People around here drive their show cars all the time -- especially to car shows. I spoke with a guy a couple of days ago who had a really spectacular, rare Corvette that he drove across town to the tennis courts. He even parked it under a tree!
  7. Joan Sutherland = opera in my head.
  8. That was a good game! Hardly any TS -- I only got The Hustler -- and high, close scores. I had to think about FJ for a second, but the date, plus opera, plus an unfamiliar name of the architect finally led me to the right place, in plenty of time to write it down.
  9. I disliked the first Home Alone so much that I didn't bother watching the sequels.
  10. The wreaths are lovely! I've taken several photos. And Merchant's Square has been absolutely PACKED these past two days. Probably the fabulous weather has something to do with that, but it's disconcerting to me. Too many people! I'm avoiding that part of DoG Street until after the rain/cold front pass through. That should clear everyone out.
  11. Sort of. I'm not sure how, but they're limiting admission, and maybe selling tickets? I think they spread it out over several weekends. I know that all the times were sold out by the time I decided to come here. All the Christmas decorations are up, and some of the wreaths are spectacular. The lights at The Inn are brilliant, as usual. Until he cast it, I thought that was a brilliant combination. I even had fairly high hopes he'd do right by the show, but alas. And there is no one in the world who can convince me that he chose his cast based on auditions. He might have made them all audition, but there is no possible way those (any of them -- even the minor roles) were his best options.
  12. 2/5 this week, but I got an asterisk!
  13. FJ was an instaget. I am gobsmacked that none of the contestants got it. And not that it mattered, but middle guy should have bet zero. So many TS! I got NASCAR, Sandra Day O'Connor (missed DD), Ft. Worth, Ponce de Leon (missed DD), Are We There Yet?, Where'd You Go Bernadette?, fiddlehead, and hydrangea. Incidentally, all ferns do that fiddlehead thing when they're unfurling. Fiddlehead is not a specific type of fern. Sandra Day O'Connor, maybe?
  14. Happy belated birthday from Williamsburg, @Grundoon59, where I am about to go out and get food from Pierce's Pitt BBQ. I will have a sandwich from The Cheese Shop later this week in your honor.
  15. Oooh, I liked this episode a lot! Badass women, cool weapon blowing up the TIE fighters, Mando without his helmet, and shades of Raiders of the Lost Ark. I didn't even miss Grogu, though of course I'm still concerned about him. Mayfield turned out to be about 27 kinds of awesome. I'm glad he "died" in that explosion. I laughed at TPS reports, too. Poor Mando, getting his ass kicked without the protection of Beskar. Looks like Boba shined his up -- good thing, as it was looking a little dingy. Loved the message to Moff Gideon at the end.
  16. Because of the alliance, we don't know that the top three teams are actually the best racers. We don't know whether or not they could have gotten this far without help from each other. How many times would it have taken them rappelling to have figured out sauerkraut on their own? How long would it have taken to make that cello without being told how? Who else would have had to go back for their groceries if they hadn't been alerted about that? In any other race, the blondes probably would have gone much farther, but no one was helping them. I'd almost rather see the family edition again than this season.
  17. I'm glad they came back and gave the guy a correct for Apostles. I figured out what Alex was going for with his BMS, but it shouldn't have been necessary with dozen in the clue. I got that, though, along with seedless and straw hat. I'm sure Minnie Pearl was before their time. Howdeeee! I confidently said Budapest for FJ, then saw the date of 1993 and just could not come up with the right country, much less the right city. Salzburg was an interesting guess, considering that it is not a national capital.
  18. This show, overall, was very sexist. They even changed Helen Crump -- when we first meet her, she can't cook, and she has zero plans of ever quitting teaching, even if she gets married. Ellie Walker was one of the best characters -- she was a "lady druggist", and also won a spot on the town council, much to Andy's dismay.
  19. So.... your ass won't smell like ass? You'll have lemon verbena ass?
  20. I said gymnosperm instead of conifer -- I wonder if they would have given it to me? All conifers are gymnosperms, but not all gymnosperms are conifers.
