Peeve of the day: People soliciting donations for questionable "charities" in the middle of freaking Colonial Williamsburg. (Technically, in Merchant's Square, but still.) -
I wonder if they’ll show him in Loompaland with the Hornswogglers and the rotten Vermicious Knids? And just how did he persuade the Oompa-loompas to come back with him?

Quoting because I can't say it any better.

Those must be pretty crappy bras, then. I wash my underwire bras with other stuff, and have never had to retwist any wires. I should probably get a delicates bag for them, but so far so good! -
My local paper prints obituaries.

That's the one -- it seemed obvious when Mayim said it.

Instaget FJ for me tonight. I had it before Mayim even finished reading the clue. I did not get any TS, though. There was one I feel like I should have gotten, but I don't even remember what it was now.

Archive night for me, but FJ was an instaget. Whew! Saved from being skunked this week. I also got the TS of pyre and fumarole (even without being able to see the picture). I kind of gave up on trying to answer any in the "Seen Here" category -- I was just guessing blindly.

Dean does need to learn when to keep his mouth shut, but I loved that his mother was so willing (and able!) to talk to him about all of the things. I work in higher education, and I can't tell you how many times faculty members who teach Biology come to me with tales of how ignorant our students are about their own bodies. And in the early 70s, when my mother thought I was ready for "the talk", she handed me a book and left the room. I also appreciated how the sister's attitude toward the grown-ups' parties changed.

I LOVE that the Dr. Fauci one comes with a mask.

I also said August for FJ tonight, lacking any other possible answer. Oh well. I did get the TS of 45 degrees, twee, and Long Island. Tomorrow will be an archive day for me.

I am having a bad week! I couldn't even figure out what the clue for FJ wanted. I think I must not have paid attention to the category or something. Who knows. And the only TS I got was financier.

Current (and annual) peeve -- every year in Virginia is an election year for something. The political ads are never-ending, and extraordinarily annoying. -
Ugh!: Actors, Hosts, And TV Personalities You Just Can't Stand

I am sorry to say that I don't remember exactly, but she was generally disrespectful and prima dona-ish to several people (one of whom felt motivated to call her a bitch to her face), most of whom knew someone who was injured or killed that day. All, and I do mean ALL of the other journalists who came to cover the story were so nice to the behind the scenes people. -

I've known she was a piece of shit at least since April 16, 2007, when she was a complete asshole to people at Virginia Tech in the immediate aftermath of the shooting there. I got an inkling of who she is way before that (sometime in the 90s), on my first trip to NYC, and we went to the Today Show -- she wasn't pleasant when the camera wasn't on her when they'd all go outside to chat with the audience.- 2.0k replies

I thought the sofa was beautiful and quite elegant. Completely impractical without tons of pillows in the back so you don’t feel like a toddler (and so you can get up off it), but still a gorgeous piece of furniture.

If they only tape two days a week, he has a lot of time to travel between tapings.

Did not get FJ tonight. But I did get Scotch egg, so there's that. Jaws seemed obvious in hindsight, but I've not read the book, just seen the movie 49,000 times. Genre!

There's also bamboo for flooring. I haven't priced it out lately, but at one time, it was more reasonable than hardwood, and looks great. -

If Britney's behavior suggests that she needs a conservator, then so do Miley Cyrus and Justin Beiber.
