  1. So, a movie about a toy that was based on a fictional character from a kids' show in a different movie? How does Buzz Lightyear have an origin story? Or, as Woody said, "You. Are. A. TOY!"
  2. Totally hot. Especially in a tight black t-shirt, onstage, singing "Roxanne" from the darkened stage before the lights slowly brightened for his encore(s). We all swooned that night.
  3. Instaget FJ for me tonight. It probably didn't hurt that there was a piece on her on CBS Sunday Morning yesterday. I also got the TS/missed DD of Deuterium, shooting gallery, and Grapes of Wrath.
  4. You definitely need to get the little land-shark some chewy toys that aren't you! 😄 I remember those needle-sharp teeth and how they seem to seek out your cuticles among other sensitive bits.
  5. I'm honestly surprised no one rang in and said, "Who is Cliff Clavin?"
  6. Instaget FJ for me tonight. I love the Police, and I've absorbed enough about Cyrano through cultural osmosis (Steve Martin's movie, an episode of "Roseanne", and I'm sure there were others) that it made it an easy FJ. I also got the TS of serenade, King George III (and now I have his song stuck in my head), Venus, and transit.
  7. Oh, no! Not Peter Scolari! I loved him in everything I saw him in. He was so good in Bosom Buddies and Newhart. I mostly get why Tom Hanks became the more well-known star, but I always thought Peter could have been a big star, too. RIP, Peter.
  8. Oh, yeah -- that same dog I treated when I left the house hated a closed door. Didn't matter where they led, all doors had to be ajar if not wide open*. And even though she's been gone a good 20 years, I *still* leave the door to the bathroom open (just slightly ajar if I'm showering). *The only exception was the front door -- it was closed and latched because that dog could open doors, too. And yes, I still keep doors latched/locked, too! Old habits and all.
  9. Back in the day, when I had a puppy, I’d “bribe” her with a food treat if I had to leave her. She’d be so engrossed in the treat that she wouldn’t notice I’d gone, and that cut down on the barking/whining.
  10. Thanks! I’d forgotten that Brenda’s husband ran the tire store. Too bad they couldn’t have figured out a way to remind us why Georgie, the tire whisperer, stopped working there.
  11. What happened to Georgie's job at the tire place? Did I miss something?
  12. Me, either. I concentrated on the "more than 50 times as large" part, and figured the possession must be quite large. The only quite large possession I could come up with was Greenland, and then it took me another second to remember who possesses it.
  13. That made me sad, too. I don't even like basketball, but I knew who she was. Took me a second for FJ, but I got it in plenty of time. I also got the TS of Pat Summitt, aspirin, chemotherapy, and Paradise by the Dashboard Light. I liked the Trios category, but I couldn't figure them out in time -- given a couple more seconds, I would have at least gotten Crosby, Stills, and Nash.
  14. Ask the vet for a flea comb. They're very fine-toothed, but based on the photos, I think it would go through his fur nicely. If he has fleas, the comb will pick them up.
  15. I got FJ, but mostly because I couldn't think of any other 19th Century Supreme Court cases, and Jeopardy loves Dred Scott. In other words, it was a complete guess, but it was a good one! TS I got were Eastman, match made in Heaven, Dengue fever, and Montserrat. I've never read "Lord of the Flies".
  16. I finally got to see this last night, and I enjoyed it. It was interesting, though, how many other movies I "saw" in it, including "Speed", "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", pretty much any Jackie Chan movie, "How To Train Your Dragon", and "Black Panther". The hidden village really put me in mind of Wakanda, but with dragon scales instead of vibranium. I can't decide if the water dragon was more Atreyu and Falkor from "Never-ending Story" or Haku from "Spirited Away". Either way, it was a most excellent dragon. I love Awkwafina way more than I ever expected to when I first saw her in "Crazy Rich Asians", but I know she's more than capable of just being the quirky sidekick. She's great in this movie, but I hope she gets more than just sidekick roles in the future. She was really great in "The Farewell". I know it sounds like I didn't like the movie, but I really did! It was beautiful, and a really nice introduction to Shang-Chi. I hope we see more of him and all the rest.
  17. Catching up with last night's game -- I did not get FJ. Even if I had come up with the character, I'm not certain I could have come up with the author. Oh well. I did get the TS of South Pole, 1862, GM, flashpoint, and formaldehyde. I unfortunately said "Dullsville" instead of "Squaresville". Mayim's comment on the cat story is exactly like something Alex would have said. He frequently was snarky about people's stories, even to the point of openly favoring one over the other. Not to mention blatantly favoring one contestant over the others. Doesn't make it right, but it's also nothing new to Jeopardy.
  18. I would be completely lost without my progressive lenses, but there was an adjustment period. Going down stairs was interesting until I got used to things.
  19. The video chatting with Dele was the best part. I don't like the influence Christina has on Abishola. I prefer the Abishola who isn't so easily distracted. And I miss her bus fights with Kemi, too.
  20. I really hate Tina's pants in this party scene.
  21. Adam was the only one who knew Lafayette. Both Jonathan and Anna said Gary.
