  1. She looks like a sweetheart -- such a pretty face, too! I admit to being part of the conspiracy, but at the same time, you'll know when you're ready for another doggo. But she's beautiful.
  2. Instaget FJ today, although Chicago crossed my mind as well. I am terrible at dates and history, but I know there was a great fire in Chicago, too! Glad I stuck with my first impulse. The only TS I got was knock-kneed. It seemed like there were more than usual TS tonight, or was I imagining things? I liked middle guy's story about his name.
  3. I often read obituaries to see what euphemisms people use instead of just saying, "died". Some are very interesting, like "slipped the surly bonds of Earth and crossed the bridge to be with Jesus", and others are a little confusing. I see a lot of "transitioned", and I just want to say to the obituary writers, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." As for irritating commercials, there's one I've heard on the radio for Bounty (I think). It's this conversation: Person A: Who brought the sauce? Person B: I brought the sauce A: Who made the sauce? B: I made the sauce A: What's in the sauce? B: I am the sauce Then they go for the Bounty I really don't understand it, but it also annoys me.
  4. Katie Couric's true nature as evidenced by her book is no surprise to me at all. I'm not a fan. I will not read her book, either -- no way am I giving her any of my hard-earned money.
  5. There is, and they advertise on TV all the time. The dead mouse might just be the motivation I need to call them!
  6. Yes and yes. The smell is strongest in the living room. I suspect it’s in one of the HVAC ducts, which means I won’t be able to remove it by myself.
  7. Peeve of the day -- something (probably a mouse) has died in my house, and I cannot locate the carcass to dispose of it somewhere other than my house. It positively reeks in here! I've opened the windows to air out the place, but unless I can find the critter, it's going to smell until it finishes decaying. And it's too cold at night to leave the windows open! Ugh.
  8. Agreed with all y'all that it's Smokey Bear, not Smokey the Bear. Grrr, indeed. I got Lady of Shallot and encroachment, but I am embarrassed to admit that I did not get FJ. In fact, I probably could have sat here for a long time and that not have entered my brain. Seems obvious in retrospect -- no idea why my mind didn't go there. However, I also never would have answered "Shrek". My response? Paul Bunyan! Not the best, but at least it wasn't Shrek.
  9. What's so great about him? He doesn't have a workspace.
  10. Failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
  11. It didn't bother me so much that Roseanne had a Bible -- I'm also agnostic, and have acquired four Bibles, each a different translation -- but that the Bible was in that drawer in the kitchen and no one noticed. I find it harder to believe that the kids wouldn't have opened every drawer in that kitchen, looking for scissors, or a packet of sauce from a fast food restaurant, or any number of things that might have migrated to that drawer. A Bible would have been pretty noticeable.
  12. I watched it and I liked it. I really enjoyed the fishing trip, and I liked that Dean knew his sister didn't really want to be involved in any violence and also knew how to get her out of it. I can totally see a 12-year old playing the adults like that, too. I am glad Dean and his buddy talked and are good. Although, since I have a tiny TV, I had to rewind and rewatch to be able to see the fish his mom was frying.
  13. I surprised myself by guessing correctly for FJ! I knew "hippo" = horse, and was torn between centaur and Pegasus, but chose the correct response in plenty of time to write it down. I did not get any TS. Boo, hiss. So glad, though, that they finally made Matt give a first name. Loved the 80s music category, though I felt stupid for missing "We Are The World". It was inescapable back in the day, both on the radio and MTV.
  14. I don't need a backstory for Willy Wonka, regardless of who's in the cast.
  15. Instaget FJ on Tuesday's show, but then I waffled, second-guessing myself because it seemed too easy. Fortunately, I stuck with my initial impulse. The only TS I got was Dakota and Elle Fanning. I should have gotten anthrax, but had mental flatulence and couldn't come up with it in time.
  16. [nitpick] It's Who Framed Roger Rabbit [/nitpick], and I got both that and locusts, so two for me.
  17. I finally got Project Hail Mary from my library, and finished it yesterday. I mostly enjoyed it, but wondered
  18. Instaget FJ for me tonight. I remember reading about that last year. I also got the TS of (Kit) Carson City, violins, Maya Angelou (just from the photo), and grapefruit.
  19. At some stores, employees get perks when the manager gets positive comments from customers.
  20. That's a different one than the one I just saw on TV -- the kids are involved, too, and it's dad's left foot both times we see it.
