  1. Also, I don't believe the Duggars would have appeared on Anderson's show if they knew what he was really about. God forbid they appear on a show hosted by a gay person!
  2. True. Most people who choose to change their sex don't have the kind of $$$ Caitlyn Jenner has. She can afford the surgeries, make-up artists, hairdressers, top notch photographer etc. to help with the transitional "look". It makes a HUGE difference. I think many men who change to a woman have a couple strikes against them because they just don't look feminine enough and have to figure it out on their own. (Beside the fact that they usually have large hands and feet which can't be overlooked.) Wearing a dress, nail polish, and make-up don't necessarily make for a positive transition.
  3. Yes. The incest makes the situation most repulsive. Main stream media leaves that dirty detail out of their reporting. Josh, including the five year old in his sick act bothers me the most. Although, my heart goes out to all the girls, too. I don't believe any of the girls/children will be heard from for quite a while.
  4. You're right. JB will figure out a way to earn more dollars, if the show goes off the air, and probably will have many opportunities to do so. That said, I think the entire family has become quite comfortable being "famous" and LOVES being on television and magazine covers....regardless of the money factor. My guess is they would miss the overall attention quite a bit.
  5. Many of us have mentioned this was a mistake made by a 14 year old teenager who should have been/be forgiven. I think a "teenage mistake" is something like: staying out past curfew, trying alcohol or pot, smoking, speeding or texting while driving and dating or hanging with kids the parents don't like. Fondling your sisters, and another young girl, is far beyond what I consider "normal" teenage milestones. I don't want to be Josh's judge or jury. I have a 27 year old son and cannot imagine how upset I'd be if he were in the same situation. That said, IF what I've read is true....I blame his parents for not getting him appropriate help. I also can't imagine what those young girls went through both during and after.
  6. That's how I interpreted the CC scene. It never crossed my mind that Ben was dead. That said, it was my first time ever watching the CC so I was a bit put off by having to logon to abc.com to see what happened. Sooooo glad Cornell was able to find/arrest Abby. Also, I never noticed the wedding ring on Dave. Too busy admiring him dressed in a suit! heh Hmmmm..... You're probably right. They didn't make it obvious either way so they're covered if Ryan returns to the show. If the show is renewed I do hope Ryan returns. I thought he did a great job in his role. However, I'm not sure how much further they could go with his character. They could go anywhere/everywhere with Cornell, for sure. I hear you about his sacrifice being out of proportion to the obstacles she would have faced. The character was only 12 years old. Did Tom think a jury would put her to death? She needed tons of mental health intervention. Again, I didn't think it was clear but could easily accept either theory now that I've read all of your opinions. When all is said and done, I really enjoyed this series and knew nothing about any other version or I would have investigated it. I also have to say I couldn't stomach Christy. Yuck. Didn't like the character or the actress! HATED Cornell in the beginning but LOVED her in the end.
  7. I just watched the episode and am shocked. Never, did I ever, think Meredith or Derrick would be killed off of Grey's Anatomy. I kept thinking... He'll be ok, in the end. Certainly, he won't die! ....and then he did. I realize Meredith is a doctor and is hardened to death, in general, because of her profession BUT I expected a whole lot more emotion from her. Didn't you? Why didn't she call Amelia or any friends to be with her in the hospital? Why did she tow her kids along with her? I realize she was in shock but...so was I and I was crying like a baby. As a television "death" story this one didn't hold a candle to the death of George on Grey's Anatomy or Will Gardner on The Good Wife. That said, I still can't believe it. HATE it when long running lead characters get killed off. HATE it!!!
  8. The train of Jessa's dress was bustled during the outdoor reception.
  9. I enjoyed the show but didn't think it needed to be two hours long. Ben is a very nice person with great intentions. Problem is, he's way too young and inexperienced to be a husband right now. He's only 19! I sincerely hope Jessa isn't pregnant yet. However, I've seen the People Magazine photos and believe she is. OMG! Jessa's wedding gown is absolutely gorgeous. It blew my mind. (Sooooo much more classic and stylish than Jill's, I think.) She did make a beautiful bride! So happy to see little Jordyn as the only Duggar Family flower girl. You could see she felt very special. Good for her. I absolutely HATE the bridal party running out of the ceremony venue. Hope that doesn't become a trend. I was embarrassed for everyone involved with hosting that awful wedding reception. Who, in their right mind(s), would hold an outdoor party without heaters or tents/tables/chairs in early November? ....and serve ice cream sundaes? It seemed to me that Jessa and Ben spent little time at the reception which I found odd. Granted, editing has come into play but they just seemed like they needed to make their appearance, greet a few guests, and be driven away. I don't think there was any kind of meal/get together at the Duggar home after the parking lot reception because it looked like the two families were actually saying good-bye to the newly married couple. I don't mind Josh and/or Anna. I think their children are adorable. I found it unusual that JB didn't tell Jessa he loved her. Not even once! Sierra speaks exactly like Jessa. Her phrasing, hesitations, choice of words, etc. are duplicates. Wait! What? Number 20? Was this after Josie's birth? (I'm not a steady viewer of the show.)
  10. I wish Alicia would have lost the race. I'm glad the campaign manager is outta there. I didn't like much about this episode except for seeing Finn for a few minutes. I love him! In fact, I was looking forward to some sort of romance between he and Alicia. Now, not so much. She has really turned into a complete ass. Wow! It seems every former main character has taken a back seat to Alicia. Every.last.one.of.them. This show has gone from an A+ to a D- in the last couple of seasons. Very sad!
  11. I love Angela. Totally appreciate her personality and her relationship with her children and the other characters on the show. My only problem is the writers haven't figured out exactly what to do with her. Talk about a job hopper!
  12. I haven't missed an episode of TGW. Count me as one of those viewers who knew nothing about this AP/JM stuff until yesterday when I came to this board, to catch up. Now that I've read every post dedicated to this subject, I feel stupid for not seeing what has been happening, right in front of my eyes, for TWO seasons. My, God! HOW could I have missed this? I will admit to finding it odd that Kalinda and Alicia didn't actually share any scenes when Will died. I remember almost longing for a scene between the two characters but must have been pacified by their telephone exchanges. My reaction to this conflict is complete surprise, for sure, but more importantly I'm disgusted by the fact that two professional actors couldn't suck it up and do their jobs....for the sake of the show and for their own reputations. I have no idea whose "fault" this is or why/how it all happened. I almost don't care!
  13. It's a tv show I've watched for years. I enjoyed the episode. I was sickened when Dr. Hermann's plastic facemask was snapped in to place. I'd love to see her live but don't think it's possible. I like Amelia. Maggie? Not so much.
  14. Absolutely! That's the issue with the show since Joan's death. I could see the change in Giuliana's personality but couldn't put my finger on the exact reason(s) for the change. Was she high on something, less intimidated because Joan was no longer on the set, had her head grown too much with her perceived growth in popularity??? It's actually none of these. (However, some of them could apply.) It's that she no longer plays the part of the straight man. Her "role" on FP has changed/evolved which may or may not work. I realize the FP group is just getting their feet wet and trying to find their way without Joan and with Kathy. "Mistakes" can and will be made. I believe the most glaring error is that they're getting too far away from commentary on fashion and more on joke telling. Joan, et al, were sure to throw in several jokes/cuts about celebrities clothing choices throughout the show BUT Joan always led the conversation back to fashion. Always.
  15. Trump didn't switch Leeza. She was chosen by Geraldo and Vivica. Donald gave them the opportunity to pick a member of the opposing team.
  16. I was ok with the finale, in general. I had to watch the last couple of minutes several times to figure it all out. The actor who played Amber's husband/boyfriend was unknown to me so I'm not as excited as some of you seem to be. For me, the biggest blunder was the entire Kristina/Adam find success aspect. Way too unbelievable, for me. I think the actress who plays Crosby's wife is actually pregnant in real life. Thus, it was written into the story. Happy they brought Hattie back even if her future story wasn't included in the flash forward portion of the show. I was one of the fans who didn't like Ray Romano's character and kicked and screamed about him for the last couple of seasons. (I LOVED Sarah with Mark) That said, I actually enjoyed him during the finale. Can't believe I'm saying it! Question I've had for years but always felt it was too late to ask... DOES THE ACTOR WHO PLAYS MAX SUFFER FROM AUTISM IN REAL LIFE? Thanks.
  17. I FFd through most of the Kathryn scenes. Who cares? (Oh, and I can't stand her dancing guy friend.) It's amazing to me how inconsequential the "parents" have become since the first season. I'm old enough to be his mother BUT I have a mini crush on Daphne's new interpreter.
  18. Forever hasn't been officially cancelled, has it?
  19. I agree. The Deacon was clearly going overboard with the water and the oil. I'm sure his heart was in the right place but was he trying to accomplish? heh heh That said, I guess there are some religions who take the children/people who are to be baptized directly into a body of water and completely submerge their heads so, in retrospect, maybe this wasn't all that bad. I've just never seen a baptism, performed in a church setting, done with such enthusiasm.
  20. OK. Somebody please clear this up for me. Which character was played by Tim Daley's son? (What did he do? Who did he interact with?) Thanks. I thought this episode was mediocre when compared to last week's. I cannot stand Daisy and/or Matt. Don't like them as a couple or otherwise. Loved the sub story about the single/older woman who wanted to be transferred to Portugal. LOVED. LOVE the secretary's persoal assistant. EYEraq bothers the heck out of me, too. Same with EYEtalian. Grrrr..
  21. I don't think Season Two is as good as the first season but I still wish it wasn't cancelled. I've enjoyed this show and will miss it.
  22. I agree. Also, does this show have a completely new group of writers? What have they done to the "people" we know? Gone is the charm, whit, thought provoking moments, and interesting storylines of Parenthood. I don't get it! I realize there are financial/salary implications involved with this finale season but I'd rather not have this season at all than watch these filler stories told by unfamiliar characters and out of character Bravermans.
  23. ...and the vocal fry coming out of her mouth bugged the hell out of me. WHY do so many young women speak from the backs of their throat??? So damn annoying! You're so right! That poor woman cannot breathe, move, or sit while pregnant. I feel so bad for her because her natural stature isn't conducive to pregnancy at all. I loved Sangee and Dmitry's dresses but will never understand how Samantha ended up in the top two. Really??
  24. I don't think the cattle drive/closing down the cabin/looking for a homestead site/ were happening at the same time on the same day. Yes. It was unusual for Otto to have so few and inexperienced people helping him out with the cattle drive. There are probably several reasons why other members of his family couldn't help him out. My guess is that, because Otto seems like a rather stubborn guy....he wanted to take those cows on.that.day. and at.that.time. His family members could have said they would help him another day because they were busy etc. BUT Otto stood his ground and, then, paid the price. This is only a guess on my part but I believe this scenario makes more sense than a total set up, for the sake of drama, by the producers of the show. My husband and I love this show. Yes, we've known for quite a while that the Kilchers live within ten miles of civilization BUT truly admire their resolve to try to do as much as possible, to survive, on their own.
  25. Daisy bugs the heck out of me for the same reasons she does you. Add to them, the stiff and jerky way she walks/moves in order to get her fake hair to sway back and forth. Bothersome. Oh, and add Bebe Newerth (sp?) to my list of characters to avoid. Pffffft. I'll admit to loving the SoS's private secretary. I get a kick out of him.
