  1. Pretty sure the Hulk Hogan Wrestling Buddy we saw Barry wrestling with at the end of the episode wasn't released until 1990. I did a cursory Google search following the episode and the sources I found say '90. Anyone remember them in the late 80s?
  2. Episode Promo: http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/05/the-goldbergs-episode-122-wrestler.html
  3. Just a note: I moved the speculation about who FauxLuke actually is to the Unspoiled Speculation thread. (For the record, I think it's Olivia Jerome wearing a rubber mask. [i'm only half joking.])
  4. I definitely think they're related, but I highly doubt he's her father. I'd wager she's in her mid to late teens, and he looked no older than 30. I mean, I guess that's possible, but I just don't think the show'll go there. Perhaps he's a very, very removed cousin?
  5. Here's your spot to wildly speculate about current and upcoming storylines. Maybe FauxLuke is actually AJ. And it's all part of an elaborate plan to expose Tracy for marrying her own nephew. Hey, you never know.
  6. This could be my chance at fame. Maybe I'll compete on Dancing With The Stars! This is all happening so fast!
  7. He does look a tiny bit like Dudley Do-Right come to life, but I wouldn't kick him out of bed.
  8. "Goodbye, Conrad. Do rot in hell." I only caught the last 20 minutes of the episode, but I have to say that I was living for it (and that quote, in particular).
  9. Yes, both people nominated this episode were black (Brandon and LaToya). However, it's not as if only AA contestants have been nominated over the last 4 episodes. Chet, Dustin, Johnny, and Brandon have been nominated for the men, and LaToya, Jonna, and Nia have been nominated for the women. So, as it stands now, three white folks have been nominated and four AA people have been nominated. As of now, it appears on the up and up to me.
  10. I know we're calling it "twoo wuv," but was that really expressed in the episode? It appeared to me that her overprotectiveness of the Grounder came from her gratitude for him saving her from certain death. Like, maybe they're headed in that direction and, being a CW series I wouldn't be surprised, but that's not what I'm seeing yet.
  11. Victor Cassadine is back (and portrayed by Thaao Penghlis) after something like 30+ years off the canvas. Julian Jerome, a character created in the 80s, is also back, albeit played by a different actor. I'd also argue that Alexis is a legacy character, as she's been on the show for about 18 years.
  12. It's been awhile since I've watched, so yesterday was my first taste of Levi. Aside from his hair, I didn't mind him. He's a little quirky, but he's got two things going for him: 1. an Australian accent; and 2. he's not Spinelli. Works for me.
  13. I've been watching the reruns on ABC Family in the run up to the premiere of Girl Meets World, and today I caught the two-parter ("A Long Walk to Pittsburgh") with Topanga's family moving to Pittsburgh. I never realized, but Topanga and Shawn shared a kiss in the episode (which Eric reveals to Cory), and there's a little bit of angst about it but for the most part, it's totally glossed over. In fact, Cory confronts Shawn about it but never brings it up to Topanga. Shawn claims that it was totally innocent, and the only reason it happened was because he was comforting Topanga, but I kind of had to scoff. Who comforts his best friend's girlfriend by kissing her? And what boyfriend just accepts that and doesn't even ask his girlfriend about it?
  14. Are you talking about Curtis Stone? He usually shows up on The Chew and other cooking shows.
  15. New to the show? Just have a foggy memory about past storylines? This is the place to ask and have answered questions relating to the history of GH. With 51 years under its belt, chances are you've got questions and, hopefully, we've got answers.
  16. Jordan screaming in Jessica's face? Fine with me. In fact, I encourage it. She needs to take her Rainbow Brite socks and hit the road. I was actually rooting for Aneesa tonight, mostly because I didn't want Laurel to get her way. I also expect that Aneesa wouldn't have been great in the elimination challenge. She's bigger than most of the other girls, but I don't think she's faster than Cara Maria. But poor LaToya. We hardly knew ye'. Did anything else even happen? Preston patting himself on the back for running around in a Zorb? I die.
  17. I used to feel similarly about Alex, which I think stemmed from her judging on Chopped. She just struck me as smug. I grew to like her when she competed on The Next Iron Chef, and I really enjoyed seeing her compete with her mother during some one-off Food Network show recently. Speaking of people we can't stand, though... I cannot with Tom Collichio. I don't care how great a chef he is. Just seeing him on screen is enough to get me gritting my teeth. The same goes for Gail Simmons. I think the Top Chef judges just always rubbed me the wrong way. Like, you whip up a 4 course meal from 7-year old Easter Candy in 20 minutes and let's see if you're able to properly layer your flavors, Tom.
  18. I created a "Nina Clay" topic here so that the discussion in this thread doesn't get derailed. Feel free to express your reaction to the reveal here, but if you want to discuss Nina at length, take it to her individual topic. Thanks!
  19. Michelle Stafford is Nina? Color me sincerely surprised. I did not see that coming.
  20. Thanks for those, Kromm. The critics were harsh with the pilot, and most of them cited the yelling and general over-the-top nature as the biggest issues. I'm glad that AFG noticed it and dialed it back. I think he's certainly found a happy medium with what we're getting now-- the show walks the line perfectly between the crazy, the funny, and the sweet. For me, it's turned out to be the best sitcom on-air.
  21. Just swinging in to discuss tonight's caller, "Mercedes," and her question for Jordan Knight. She was trying her hardest to use her sexy voice while also doing her best to embarrass Jordan on live television. Either she was the one he hooked up with on that Coca Cola cruise in 1990, or she just threw something out there in hopes of Jordan admitting to it. Either way, it was an awkward minute or so. I swear that Andy is angling to bone just about any attractive man who walks onto his set. I know Dustin did some gay porn before appearing on his season of The Real World, and I'm not entirely convinced that Andy won't be trying to move in on that tonight.
  22. And with that, we learn that the Grounders (at least the one currently tied up) speak English. I was a little uncomfortable with a POC being tied up and beaten by a bunch of white kids, but perhaps I was being overly sensitive. And was that a drawing of Octavia in his diary? I'm interested in learning about what their connection is. I know that Abby lost her position on the Council, but was the new woman, Diana, appointed to Abby's old position or did Jaha step down as Chancellor? Apparently I wasn't paying enough attention. Either way, I expect Diana has ulterior motives judging from the way she shot that look at the Dude Pissed About His Wife's Pointless Death. I'm familiar with Lindsey Morgan from General Hospital, and her character there was sent away to school (I think?) because Lindsey couldn't act. And, IMO, she's not doing any better here. When she was ordering everyone around while Clarke worked on Finn, I wasn't impressed. However, I did kind of love her look of "Oh great..." after realizing the girl who slept with her boyfriend just saved his life. And I'm rolling my eyes at the Ark folks having to make MORE sacrifices next week, once everyone realizes there are 2000+ folks on the Ark, but only room for 700 people on the pods headed to Earth. Only one sacrifice montage a season, please.

  24. Martha Stewart's Cooking School airs on PBS.
  25. I think she's already become that for me. I appreciate that she was close to Vern and wants to apprehend whomever is responsible for his death, but she's rubbing me the wrong way. I'm not sure if it's the actress, the character, or some combination of the two (likely this one), but I want Malvo and Lester to get away with the murder(s) (and I don't even particularly like Lester either).
