  1. I suspect it was Felix who was shot, though I'll hand it to the writers for putting enough people in the scene who I care about (Alexis, Sam, Lucas) to get me to tune in tomorrow to see who actually was hit. There's no way they'd kill off any of the three, or that's what I'm telling myself. While I was never a fan of Spin, I was happy it gave us a chance to revisit Ellie and Georgie.
  2. I don't mind that she uses jarred once in awhile, but I also don't really understand why she'd do it. A delicious sauce is pretty simple to make, especially if you start it early enough in the day.
  3. AMC has released the first episode ("I/O") on its website and Tumblr. Check it out here.
  4. Sneak Preview: Episode 1
  5. Apparently Maya was the daughter of Faith Ward, who I actually don't recall. According to that site, I don't believe we know who her father is.
  6. Sophia: Well, I'm off! Dorothy: That would be my diagnosis.
  7. I actually don't mind it either, but it certainly depends on the vet and whether I've enjoyed them in the past. For instance, I was thrilled to see Susie again because I enjoyed her on her season of Road Rules and I liked her in all the Challenges she participated in. I'd also love to see Coral return for the AS. However, I couldn't turn my TV off quick enough when Tyler showed up to give us his special brand of douche.
  8. Just FYI, I spun off the discussion about the show's love triangles v. sci-fi elements, and which we'd prefer to see more of, into its own thread. Find it here.
  9. There's been some discussion in the latest episode thread about whether the show should move away from the teenage love triangles and focus more on its sci-fi aspects. Here's your thread to discuss the topic at length.
  10. I remember really enjoying Kristina even though, looking back, she was kind of boring. But I enjoyed her relationship with Alexis and the scenes she had with Ned and Jax. That said, Kristina's death also provided this absolutely amazing scene at her funeral in which Nancy Lee Grahn got to really show her acting chops. It was also amazing watching Alexis get to rip Roy DiLucca, Sonny, Jason, and Carly new ones. Ted King played both Luis and Lorenzo Alcazar (Luis, then Lorenzo). I think of Luis as the generally more evil brother, and Alexis ended up pushing him off the balcony of the PC Hotel. He had found her in the snow giving birth to Baby Kristina and he refused to help her and she was justifiably pissed off. The whole death scene was done montage style over the Police's "Murder By Numbers" and, embarrassingly, I can say that it's one of my favorite GH montages. Luis' murder led into a story about Alexis faking Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). At one point I believe Alexis was wearing a long red wig, similar to that of her dead sister, Kristina. And then at one point Baby Kristina was taken away from her, custody was given to Skye and Ned (who were living in the Quartermaine mansion), and Alexis, to see the baby, dressed as "Dobson," a butler working for the Qs. It's just as ridiculous as it sounds.
  11. Yea, I think Lincoln referred to her as "Anya." I mean, it might not be their fault that he crossed the boundary line, but they also can't act as though the 100 aren't justified in defending themselves too. The Grounders have been killing the 100 (and in incredibly gruesome ways) since they landed. The Grounders are as much to blame for the war as the 100 are.
  12. While I wasn't paying too much attention last night to the After Show, I was glad to see Brad again. He looks a touch too thin, but he still looks great. And I always have to laugh at "veterans" who talk about The Challenge as if it's the Olympics or, like, Thunderdome. Both Mark and Brad have done it, and I expect we get Derrick on the show and doing the same thing before too long.
  13. Agreed. I think one of Devyn's questions was, "What does the heart pump?" How is that a question for someone who isn't in kindergarden? And then, as you said, CT received a question about the middleweight UFC winner. There appeared to be no rhyme or reason for the difficulty of the questions and who received them, which seemed unfair. In my mind, there should have been a Round 1, 2, 3, etc., in which the questions increased in difficulty. However, judging from the "Name the last American president" question, I don't think there were Jeopardy! caliber writers and researchers working on this challenge.
  14. I consider myself fairly intelligent, but I have to admit that there were a couple questions there that I also was having trouble with. However, Johnny should never be allowed to live down answering that Australians speak Dutch. That's just plain idiocy. Is Camila always this emotionally fragile or was something else going on? She cried at the challenge, during the elimination, and after the elimination. I know she's always had a bad temper (especially when it came to Johnny, and who can blame her?), but all the tears drove me nuts. Put on your big girl panties and get to work. If I hadn't already known that Jordan was going to verse Johnny in an elimination later in the season, I would've figured he'd have been going home tonight. But that he beat Swift in the elimination and so handedly? I was impressed. That Johnny was downplaying Jordan's win was kind of bullshit.
  15. Hallmark and TVLand aren't any better. Both are notorious for either (1) editing out a joke; (2) editing out the lead up or the punchline of a joke; or (3) dropping a commercial break in the middle of a joke. It drives me absolutely batty when it cuts to commercial in the middle of the joke, and returns with the audience still laughing. Like, what? If they must edit something out for time, why don't they simply shorten the opening credits? It's not as if people are used to seeing openings anymore. Today, most shows have lifeless title cards.
  16. I don't think I'm really rooting for either side. In my mind, the 100 are wholly innocent in heading down to Earth and accidentally invading the Grounders' territory because the kids weren't given a choice. And, of course, the Grounders are justified in being pissed off about essentially being invaded. However (and correct me if I'm wrong because I missed the first couple episodes), it was the Grounders that struck first. That Anya was using the "your missiles burned down one of our villages!" as justification for all the impaling, poisoning, etc., didn't work for me. The Grounders were killing the 100 well before that ever happened. But apparently the Grounders have had previous encounters, perhaps with other Ark-ites, so maybe they were feeling trigger happy. As for Jasper shooting first at the meeting, I felt like the kid was justified. He'd been impaled with a spear only weeks (or is it days in show time?) before and it looked like the Grounders were about to ambush Clarke, Finn, and Octavia. I guess, like the Grounders, he was feeling a tad trigger happy as well.
  17. Let's keep the discussion in here on topic, folks.
  18. I dunno. I highly doubt the show would kill off characters that have been driving half the story over nine episodes, and kill them off in such an anticlimactic way. I suspect that, at the very least, Jaha, Abby, Kane, and Diana will be shown to have survived. If not, what was the point of this entire first season? To lead up to a war between the Grounders and the 100? While we now know the Grounders' motivation, they were already at war with the 100 before this episode. So if the Ark citizens and the Exodus passengers are all dead... this has been one big waste of time. So, yea, there's got to be some adults alive. I was sad to see Kane's mother (played by the fantastic Christine Welles) killed. I'm a huge fan of Welles from Reaper (another CW genre show), and I was hoping she'd stick around. Speaking of, I had to laugh at Jaha chastising Diana for planting a bomb that killed six people on the Ark, while only a couple of episodes ago Jaha gave the go ahead to suffocate how many folks? I like that Diana isn't just bad for the sake of being bad, but she feels like she's fighting for something. Whether she's right in her convictions is another question altogether, but I'm glad to see she's a kind of gray character. Was Jasper (that's his name, right?) hallucinating those Grounders in the trees? Neither Bellamy nor Raven could see them and I figured the hallucinations were some leftover effects from the mushrooms from last week's episode.
  19. Last year I was living in a house with a gas stove. It was my first place on my own, and the first time I had a gas range. It spoiled me. I've since moved to a "luxury" (or so it says on the sign outside the building) high-rise and now I'm stuck with electric. It serves its purpose but I still miss having gas (heh).
  20. I actually don't blame her for that either and I could totally sympathize with her absolute abhorrence of heat. I'd much rather be without heat in the winter than without AC in the summer. However, I can't co-sign her calling and having an air conditioner delivered to someone else's home. It's rude and kind of crazy.
  21. So Felicia is likely going to be the next mayor of Port Charles? I guess that's cool. I mean, she's never shown outside the Floating Rib and I don't even think she and Mac have a place to live, but she's gonna run for mayor. Neat. Today's episode worked for me. I was happy to see Julian and Alexis hit the sheets (and loved Alexis' new bedroom!), Kevin and Mac arguing and then making up at the bar, and Felicia protecting Lucy at the hotel. Even Carly and Franco didn't irritate me as much as they usually do.
