  1. Hoping that it goes as long as the original. Speaking of, I remember watching the OG pressure cooker on, wait for it, Real Player. God, I’m old.
  2. Hisam pleading with Cirie at the moment, and Cirie sounds like she’s being swayed. Cirie is advising him to talk to Izzy and Felicia, but she’s making me believe that’s she’s open to the possibility of keeping him. She keeps saying, “I believe you,” in response to his claim that he was proud to be aligned with the older folks. The thing is, if I’m Izzy or Felicia, I don’t buy it. Hisam is promising to be loyal to anyone that votes to save him, but he’s promised this to everyone. He’s going to have to go back on that with someone, and it’s likely going to be those that tried to backdoor in the first place. Thus, I’m pretty sure that he’s still out the door on Thursday if Cirie, Izzy, and Felicia are worth their salt.
  3. Felicia and Bowie were together in the HoH, and Felicia told her that she’d like the final 3 to be herself, Bowie, and Cirie. When Bowie asked if Cirie was down for that, Felicia said she said she was. Is this true or is this just Felicia covering herself should Bowie win HoH this week?
  4. Hisam talking to Jared, telling him that Jared’s not as close to Cirie, Izzy, and Felicia as Jared thinks he is. The editors are chomping at the bit to cut this into Thursday’s episode, right before Julie reveals to Hisam that Cirie is Jared’s mother. Oof. Also, Jared is doing a pretty competent job of acting as though the info Hisam is sharing is resonating. He keeps saying, “I’m going to go tell Blue about this right now!” and I think it’s more his escape route than any actual desire to share this info with Blue.
  5. I know it’s a long shot and, truly, I’d rather it not happen to save me from ever again having to hear him say “Right?” over and over, but there has to be some thought by some of these folks that keeping Hisam might be an okay, not completely terrible idea. He’s public enemy no. 1 and it’s unlikely that he’ll ever work with Izzy, Felicia, Cirie, or Bowie again. At least not in the short term. Should he stay, it keeps a bigger target in the house that also has his sights set on the remaining “Professors.” Of course, he’s completely insufferable and difficult to stand, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t be useful to players like Blue, Matt, Jag, America, etc. Regardless of who he was targeting previously, that’s obviously no longer his priority given he’s just been backdoored. That said, this might just be me spiraling!
  6. I can’t help myself… I really like Matt. I felt sorry for him losing Reilly, and I truly didn’t care about her while she was in the house. But he liked her, and she helped him with his game, and… yea, poor guy. Hoping that the plan comes to fruition and we see Hisam on the block this week. Had he played his HoH a bit more humbly, this could have been an easy week for him.
  7. Do we have any idea what the feeds were down for today? I was fully expecting to see Hisam on the block when the feeds came back, but no such luck. As everyone has already said, last night was something of a s*** show. What I had to laugh about was the fact that while Cirie, Izzy, and Felicia were in the HoH room egging one another on into further paranoia about the “gameplay” allegedly taking place against them, the other side was outside either talking about being fully onboard with the plan to back door Hisam or talking about unrelated game stuff. Needless to say, Cirie isn’t impressing me with her gameplay. Oof.
  8. I just had to come here to say that folks were calling Cameron a cult leader last week, and while I don’t disagree, I think the bigger cult leader is Hisam. Not that he’s currently leading a cult (does anyone actually like him in the house at this point?) but he sounds like one. His constant “right?…” at the end of every sentence drives me absolutely bonkers. That is all.
  9. Oof. Sad to see that Reilly is anti women’s alliance. No one is saying that the women must *only* work with other women, but we’re also not not saying that. ;) But seriously, in that clip posted above, Reilly makes it sound like she’s giving this hot take regarding her willingness to work with the men over women. Girl… that’s been the mentality of a majority of the women in this game since the show started. You ain’t doin’ something new. Also, you’ll be out as soon as the men decide you’re expendable (unless you’re in a showmance with one or more of them, of course). I know that Cirie has had chance after chance to win Survivor and now Big Brother, but I can’t help but like her and root for her. I’ve also been thinking about what it would be like to be living in the Big Brother house with my mother and, as much as a love her, that feels like it would be incredibly stifling. Especially when your mother has a following from another reality show! Talk about not being allowed to have your own *thing*!
  10. Was Kendal actually thinking of using the Lifesaver, or was it all just manufactured drama? I found it funny that some of these folks are expected to remember 36 seasons of a show whether they were on a particular season or not. In fact, the only person that should be able to remember the order is Aneesa. And that's only because she's appeared in all of them (I assume). Sorry to see Teck go so soon, but I expected it. Also sad to see Ruthie is still absolutely batshit when it comes to the game. With Teck gone, Ruthie is skating on thin ice. I expect that she'll be targeted for the next elimination.
  11. Safety protocols and vaccinations, I'd say. Josh Swickard is so damn hot. Like, it's terrible but in any scene he's in, all I can look at is him. I'll never understand why Willow would pick Michael over Chase. Maybe it's the free place to live (the gatehouse is pretty swank) and the Quartermaine and Corinthos money that's the draw for her.
  12. Katie's outbursts are my favorite. I remember absolutely dying of laughter during her last season, when she faceplanted onto the platform and fell tumbling into the water below. Iconic! This episode, I about died when she fell yet again and screamed, as serious as a heart attack, "I hit my face again, you fuckers!" She truly is a gift. Trishelle was never my favorite before and, sorry to say, my opinion hasn't changed. However, her responding to TJ's question about Johnny Banana's that she didn't know the answer because she doesn't give a shit about him did endear her to me a bit. I, too, don't give a shit about that misogynistic piece of shit. Before the target was securely affixed to Kendall's back, I was surprised to hear Beth's name being thrown out for elimination so soon. She might be the oldest challenger there (she's 52 vs. Mark's 49) and I feel like that should count for something. Whenever these old men come out of retirement, it's like everyone has to bow down out of respect. When it's a woman, though? Not so much.
  13. I found it funny that Cyrus was using emojis to communicate with his very inept assassin. Guns, skulls and crossbones, etc. In addition, the shootouts are always so poorly choreographed. And, like you've all said, there's nothing to get us invested because Sonny and Jason will never die so who really cares that they're being shot at? Also, that decaf carafe took several gunshots and simply dented! The thing was made of lead, I guess. Add me to the list of folks that thought they tossed Jane Elliot into the hospital bed to play Florence. I couldn't find any information confirming that Anne Collings reprised her role but, if true, she looks great for 81! I suppose I'm interested in seeing how the Laura, Martin, and Cyrus being siblings story plays out. I'm always happy when Laura gets an actual front burner story.
  14. I mentioned this in the episode thread, but let me reiterate, what the hell happened to the Q den? They’ve hung this ugly wood paneling which just makes the room seem dark and stuffy, and it just doesn’t look good at all. Also, considering we have Kelly’s (which, admittedly, we see less and less of), why do they make every character have scenes at that lone table at the unnamed coffee shop that’s literally just four walls, some shelving, and some ugly plants?
  15. Does this show have more than 3 or 4 poorly dressed sets? I understand budget constraints and Covid protocols, but seeing the Metro Court and that non-descript room with a single table in some unnamed coffee shop every. single. day. is getting...sad. Also, if it’s a budget issue, why did they spend money destroying the Quartermaine den by putting up ugly wood paneling?
  16. Shea was one of my favorites on Season 9, but I have to concur with folks that have been saying that she's acting as though she's owed the crown. There's confidence, which I can absolutely get behind, and then there's entitlement. That said, her Flavor Flav was flawless! Girl killed it dead. Wasn't in love with her runway look because it didn't read prom whatsoever. It was India's time to go. I didn't buy her story about Alexis campaigning to eliminate Shea, especially considering the timing. If she was lying, though, she really was trying to sell it until the very end. Juju's runway look was adorable, if a bit simple. I liked Cracker's overall concept but wasn't sold on the outfit. Blair's gender bending look was impeccable, even though it read a little bit like The Joker to me. Alexis' was... eh. I was surprised to hear Ross say that it was perfect. It felt like something we've seen before from several other queens, including Alexis. And like several of the other queens' looks, it didn't read prom.
  17. I've learned over the years that it doesn't take much for me to enjoy an episode of RHoNY. All I need is some over the top event in which Ramona is behaving unabashedly bitchy, Luann is being judgmental, Sonja is clueless and drunk, and Dorinda is, well, Dorinda. And I got all of that during this episode! I'm easy to please, I guess. It was nice to see Jill again. With the loss of Tinsley (although, can we really call her departure a "loss"?) and the flop that Elyse has proven herself to be, maybe we can get Jill back? Please? Did we ever get an explanation of where William came from during this episode? Dorinda sitting him down next to Ramona seemed incredibly staged, especially because he was acting as if he wasn't even there or hearing what Dorinda was saying. There's no bad blood between him and Ramona, at least as far as we've seen, so there was really no reason for him to ignore Ramona or vice versa. Right?
  18. This ad for arthritis medication Voltaren is surprisingly fun. It features 2020 Paula Abdul dancing alongside her 1989 counterpart. Unsure how effective the ad is in making me want to try Voltaren, but it definitely helped encourage me to stream Forever Your Girl on Spotify.
  19. Honestly, she probably should have known considering they're all supposed to have their walkies on them at all times. However, in her defense, when the guest asked if she could "walk around outside," I thought she meant she wanted to stroll around the deck of the yacht. Perhaps Jess didn't realize the woman wanted to walk around/beyond the marina? Of course, Jess seems pretty flighty in general and I wouldn't be surprised if she understood exactly what the woman wanted and just didn't put two and two together (if I let the guest off the boat, she's going to delay our departure).
  20. I adored Hannah bringing out the preference sheet to the douche-y Brooklynite to prove that he'd never requested oysters for breakfast. It was so passive-aggressive and petty, but I'm sure so satisfying for Hannah (and the audience). In the eternal words of the Countess Luann, "money can't buy you class."
  21. All the charter guests seemed like insufferable a*holes. One can only hope that they tip well at the end of it all, but they'll likely hold the crew responsible for all the hiccups. As someone that works with the public, seeing guests like these really makes me feel for the crew. I enjoyed Bugs during her last season, so I'm happy she's back. It was also nice to see that, despite her apprehension at the news of her return, Hannah was beginning to appreciate having Bugs as her 2nd stew.
  22. My disdain extends to the grandchildren of celebrities, too. I'm nothing if not consistent!
  23. You weren't the only one. I'm no fan of children in general, to be honest, and the children of wealthy celebrities are certainly no better. I don't have an issue with Cpt. Sandi's perceived micromanagement. Nor do I think it's something that she does for camera time. I think that, as a woman, she's had to endure quite a bit of pushback as a captain. As a result, she wants things to be done perfectly because, if it's not, she knows it'll be chalked up to the idea that women are unable to lead. That's also why Cpt. Lee can get away with the hands off approach.
  24. The best part of these flashback episodes? 1. Getting to see the old opening sequence which, back in the day, many of us hated. But compared to the odd screensaver-esque opening credits we get nowadays, it's amazing. 2. Seeing old sets, like Carly's old house. I *hated* that set. The yellow color palette + black/white checkered foyer floor was...oof. Also, it's frightening how much ten years can age a person. Compared to his appearance at this year's Emmys, MB looked like a baby. Also also, I forgot how much I enjoyed JMB's Lulu. The character hasn't worked for me since Emme Rylan took over the role in 2013.
  25. I understand the hyper-awareness around blackface being used in any type of media nowadays (and rightfully so!), but this move from Hulu seems to be missing the point of the BLM movement. There are larger, more systemic issues that need addressing. A joke about blackface from an episode of a 30+ year old sitcom seems like small potatoes. Not to mention the fact that the episode dealt with an interracial + May/December relationship in a pretty progressive way, especially for the 1980s. Why remove the episode from the lineup when it would have been just as effective to edit the scene entirely?
