Couples sleeping in separate bedrooms is not that uncommon. (We do, and we've been happily married for over 17 years.) It provides better rest if one snores, is restless, or keeps different hours than the other. What I can never understand is the need for 3+ bedrooms due to "all the family and friends" that are coming. Like, are you now a hotel? Will you be full every night of the year? Sorry, but if I'm providing you a free place to stay in Europe/Asia/Australia/The Moon, you may have to deal with a pull out couch in the office area for a few days.

Family Law (2021) - General Discussion

Is E10 the last of this season? There were a few wrap ups and a few cliffhangers, so I wouldn't be surprised. Putting in spoiler tags for those who aren't caught up yet. I was absolutely not surprised that: Daniel continues to be tied with Frank for THE WORST. Green is not his colour. Boy he is immature and jealous. Also immature? Cecil. I'm sorry, but his character got progressively more annoying and childish as the season went on. I was hoping for a resolution to that, but nope. -

I was with a group of ladies from work, and we literally cheered in the car as we were squeezed in. 😆 I've also been the recipient of the cone of shame. -

I did not watch Euphoria, and didn't know who Cloud was, but 25 is way too damn young. My heart breaks for his family, burying one relative and then another so soon.- 4.3k replies

I grew up with PeeWee's Playhouse and PeeWee's Big Adventure. Last I saw Paul was as Oswald/Penguin's dad on Gotham. While the show was bonkers much of the time and hard to stick with, he was absolutely perfectly cast in that role, and as the father of Robin Lord Taylor. A big piece of my childhood just died. I have serious bias, because I live in Victoria, and consider it my home (while I am originally from Vancouver), but this was a great episode! While Greater Victoria isn't massive, they covered some good KMs on this leg - especially driving from Nanaimo to the Skywalk, then down to Victoria, then out to Sooke. I do call shennanigans on the ferry though - a team who left Whistler at 12:15 should not be on the same ferry as a team who left Whistler at 4:00. (They currently leave every 2 hours, this was filmed in the spring, so would be a different schedule slightly, but still, and I digress...) I wonder if Lily is aware that Victoria used to house a Bateman gallery downtown, but it closed? (Sorry, Lily.) Also, I checked, Craigderroch doesn't actually have a Haunted Mansion exibit on. BOO. (Still well worth going to.) Glad J&J did well this episode. (And note to self, don't go to the Bug Zoo.) They really ripped right through that tent task. Same as @Lady Calypso I am having a harder time connecting to Deven and also find something rubbing me the wrong way. He and Amanda seem to make little mistakes that add up and keep them towards the back. I don't actively dislike any of the teams, but Derpal is a bit much most of the time. -
This was (with some modifications, ex: Julia doesn't die) part of the plot of MI:III. I didn't love this one nearly as much as I love the others in the franchise. I found Grace annoying, frankly. I agree with @dovegrey on the second bolded point. Why was Ethan so desperate to save a woman who keeps leaving him in peril? There also is no context to Gabriel and their history with Ethan, minus a random flashback that has never been part of any of the movies. But the stunts were cool.

S09.E03: Bribery Always Works

I can appreciate taking a penalty on the bungie jumping, because even if you don't think you have a fear of heights, hurling yourself off a platform with only a spongy cord attached to your legs/torso is not a plesant thought. But quitting the second task was ridiculous. A few teams seemed to suffer from lack of communication at the table challenge. If you keep getting a no from the judge, start yelling out things, like, "Which way are the forks?" "Are the cushions tied?" Etc. It's not like they couldn't speak to one another. I can understand why Justin and Jermaine took the assist - they were trying to get to the mat to start their penalties as quickly as possible. It's hard not to root for Ty/Kat, and you could tell that taking a coach bus was emotional for him. -
Catching up on episodes, so just finished the one with the ATV-log challenge. It seemed unfair to those who went later, as the mud pit got deeper and more difficult to navigate after others had completed. You could see that more competitors were using the winch in later heats.

I believe Eleanor is her only wife. She mentioned a few episodes ago about when she transitioned, she thought she would lose everything, but "her wife stayed". (Paraphrasing slightly.) My guess is they had Caroline, then Jerri transitioned, then they had more kids who grew up with two moms. -

I was in hysterics when they were reading those. I assume those are made up maganizes - see, writers deserve a raise! Craig continues to be the cutest, Frank continues to be the worst, and that was a heavy episode for Jerri. And stupid me took too long to figure out why the "step mom" (Eleanor) was seeing the grandkid. DUH. That's Caroline's biological mother. 🤦♀️ I really liked the backstory of how long all of them have known each other, and how Harry is Caroline's godfather. -

IIRC, there were rumours about the impending break up of Sofia and Joe based on a recent post (birthday? anniversary?) Guess this time, people weren't reading too much (or too little) into it. Always sad to hear about break ups. EDIT: I posted that before I read the linked story... which mentions all of that. 🤦♀️ -
I am not ashamed to admit that MI:2 is my favourite of the series (and I've seen all of them multiple times) for the very reason of its camp. I'll put this in spoilers, just in case, but my favourite scene of any of the movies is: They got more serious after MI:III and had more continuity amongst story lines, but II will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm the complete opposite of @Shannon L. - Ghost Protocol is my least favourite. MMV, as they say.

Dick is very much used (IMO) as comic relief. If you watch the movie, he's got a couple of good lines.

The Knorr adds threw me off every time they showed up. I think most egregious was how badly they were CGI'd. Talk to the NHL about superimposed ads, Family Law! Daniel continues to be The Worst (tied with Frank). As someone who grew up in Vancouver, I laughed whole heartedly at the "running around in lulu lemon" line. I was trying to sort out where that obstacle course may be - Wild Play in Maple Ridge, maybe? -

I missed seeing a Kevin Smith talk years ago, because he showed up late for check in and they would not allow him to board. IIRC, he also tried to blame the airline. I was more pissed with his idea that he was above the rules than I was about missing the show with friends. (I got a refund.) -

That was absolutely hysterical. Didn't ever say why she was doing it, but it was obviously implied. "It's a great day, here's some ice cream!" I love Joanne's interaction with Daniel too. "She used to be my best friend. Until she slept with my husband." -

On the "stalking is love" front - I caught an episode of Saved by the Bell over the weekend, and it reminded me that Screech was constantly over the top in his pursuit of Lisa. She always said no, he kept pursuing her - and IIRC - he got mad during the random (one episode?) pairing of Zach and Lisa (he picked a fight with Zach and ripped his shirt). I didn't think it was funny back as a teen, and I certainly don't now. -
I am surprised Revenge of the Nerds isn't included in this list. At one point in the movie, the "nerds" set up hidden cameras and watch the sorority girls naked around their house, and later, one character pretends to be the sorority girl's boyfriend (in costume) and has sex with her. That's rape, full stop.

Or, Buxton trying to insert Taylor Swift lyrics into his interview with Alonso. Now that has to be the craziest rumour I've never heard. 😆

Doubling down on his idiocy, Matthew also claims that he's pulling Keanu's name because he lives on the same street. Not because it was a boneheaded move in the first place. Apparently, he literally just picked a name.
