  1. IIRC, there were rumours about the impending break up of Sofia and Joe based on a recent post (birthday? anniversary?) Guess this time, people weren't reading too much (or too little) into it. Always sad to hear about break ups. EDIT: I posted that before I read the linked story... which mentions all of that. 🤦‍♀️
  2. I am not ashamed to admit that MI:2 is my favourite of the series (and I've seen all of them multiple times) for the very reason of its camp. I'll put this in spoilers, just in case, but my favourite scene of any of the movies is: They got more serious after MI:III and had more continuity amongst story lines, but II will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm the complete opposite of @Shannon L. - Ghost Protocol is my least favourite. MMV, as they say.
  3. Dick is very much used (IMO) as comic relief. If you watch the movie, he's got a couple of good lines.
  4. The Knorr adds threw me off every time they showed up. I think most egregious was how badly they were CGI'd. Talk to the NHL about superimposed ads, Family Law! Daniel continues to be The Worst (tied with Frank). As someone who grew up in Vancouver, I laughed whole heartedly at the "running around in lulu lemon" line. I was trying to sort out where that obstacle course may be - Wild Play in Maple Ridge, maybe?
  5. I missed seeing a Kevin Smith talk years ago, because he showed up late for check in and they would not allow him to board. IIRC, he also tried to blame the airline. I was more pissed with his idea that he was above the rules than I was about missing the show with friends. (I got a refund.)
  6. I read her book many years ago, and she definitely had it rough from an early age.
  7. That was absolutely hysterical. Didn't ever say why she was doing it, but it was obviously implied. "It's a great day, here's some ice cream!" I love Joanne's interaction with Daniel too. "She used to be my best friend. Until she slept with my husband."
  8. On the "stalking is love" front - I caught an episode of Saved by the Bell over the weekend, and it reminded me that Screech was constantly over the top in his pursuit of Lisa. She always said no, he kept pursuing her - and IIRC - he got mad during the random (one episode?) pairing of Zach and Lisa (he picked a fight with Zach and ripped his shirt). I didn't think it was funny back as a teen, and I certainly don't now.
  9. I am surprised Revenge of the Nerds isn't included in this list. At one point in the movie, the "nerds" set up hidden cameras and watch the sorority girls naked around their house, and later, one character pretends to be the sorority girl's boyfriend (in costume) and has sex with her. That's rape, full stop.
  10. Or, Buxton trying to insert Taylor Swift lyrics into his interview with Alonso. Now that has to be the craziest rumour I've never heard. 😆
  11. My uncle suddenly didn't feel well, and collapsed while getting out of bed. At the ER, they diagnosed him with pancreatic cancer, he was in hospice the next day, and passed away about 2 weeks later. F cancer.
  12. Doubling down on his idiocy, Matthew also claims that he's pulling Keanu's name because he lives on the same street. Not because it was a boneheaded move in the first place. Apparently, he literally just picked a name.
  13. This one, especially. The reasons for most of them to be in detention would now land them in jail and/or expulsion. (Assault, bringing a gun to school).
  14. Co-signed. He claims he just chose a name, but now says (after much backlash) he should have used his own name.
  15. Matthew Perry is removing reference to Keanu Reeves from future copies of his memoir. He got in a lot of hot water for the line asking why Keanu was still alive, but people like River Phoenix died.
  16. In the scheme of Kevin Smith movies, this one is sorely underrated, IMO. And I agree, Affleck is great in it. I'll take it even further - I really like Affleck as Bruce Wayne.
  17. I saw #2 on a plane, and it was a perfect movie for that - if I dozed off, or got distracted, I didn't miss much. I also found it impossible to believe that (spoilers, just in case) There were a couple of funny lines, but nothing like the lightning in a bottle that was the first.
  18. Gotta love how Din knows exactly how to speak to the Ugnaughts properly in order to get the information the seek, and then proceeds to just kick at random droids. "I found the malfunctioning one." This season is a bit all over the place. So far I'm not feeling a cohesive story line but still enjoying the episodes nonetheless. While I love the little guy more than anything, I do agree that Grogu needs something to do this season. Past finding Bo Katan to help save Din (which obviously was a big thing for him to do) he's just sorta been there.
  19. That laugh almost drove me to the brink. I've seen parts of two episodes now, and I can't do it.
  20. It's mainly saying that he'll play a role in Ballerina, which is set between JW3 and JW4. Ana de Armas is playin the ballerina we see being berated by Angelica Huston.
  21. "Uh, Crap-" "CRAWL." "We didn't bone!" "They didn't bone!" It really is a silly, but albeit genuinely funny movie.
  22. I'm surprised no one else has yet to mention the reveal that: Loved the movie. Absolutely fantastic action sequences - the one with the aerial shots especially (although I did get a bit dizzy near the end.) And the soundtrack was phenonimal. As someone who has climbed those damn stairs up to Sacre Coeur, I felt for John each time he fell down some and had to get back up. It would have been funny if he hot-wired the funicular and shot at the bad guys speeding past them.
  23. That's a great way to look at it. Thanks! Much appreciate all who chimed in.
  24. Thanks - appreciate the confirmation. A very sad loss. I have tickets to see JW4 this Friday, and it will be bittersweet to see Reddick on screen.
