He's such a hot mess for much of SouthLAnd (an incredible and underrated show). It was almost funny to see him play such a stable and authoritative character.

This actually makes a lot of sense. I mean, I understand there's an odd somewhat mutual respect between them. I guess for me personally, I just never understood why (especially on June's part).
-
YMMV, as they say. I've never felt it to be consistent.
-
There was also a mention of a poisoned apple, so Serena made multiple Disney villain references. I realize it was for PLOT, but there was no clear reasoning for June to help Serena escape from the angry mob. Is it Stockholm Syndrome? A sudden change of heart? Amnesia? Aliens? And of course, the episode ends with a long, close up shot of Elizabeth Moss' face.

That was a perfect mix of informative and fun. "We lost him, in the bread basket."

Oh I will absolutely be watching this one. I love a good spoof movie, and if it's in the same vein as the original then it's going to be a good laugh. The Nordburg joke was gold.

I'm guessing they powered down the devices before putting them in the bag. One thing I'm still unclear on is if any of them actually figured out the news. Saxon sort of had a look on his face, but no one else did. You would think Victoria would be losing her shit if she knew. This is just another example of uneven writing and some odd directing choices this season.

Gaitok shot someone who several witnesses could identify as a murderer, so shooting him as he was technically fleeing would not be murder on his part, IMO. Whether right or wrong, he was also being told by his boss to do it, and we know that Gaitok was already feeling like he wasn't amounting to much. I'm still reeling over the confirmation by Lochy that he deliberately did what he did to Saxon. Unless he's intellectual behind for his age, did he really think at the age of 18, being a people pleaser means crossing that huge of a line? It didn't work for me. Even if he was under the influence, he implied he made a conscious decision to do that. I was actually hoping the show really would go there, and have the Ratliff family drink the poison and all die. Overall, I didn't love this season and I really didn't love this finale.

This was my interpretation as well.

Lochlan did mention his "dark thoughts" (or something to that effect) and he wanted to get away from them. Piper didn't seem too phased by that (although she then quickly left after he said he wanted to stay), so she either already knows something, or she glossed over it, maybe thinking he's being dramatic.

Laurie slept with one of the other Russians, not Valentin.

I really disliked Mook when she told Gaitok she thought he was more ambitious and then sat there pouting. While he's possibly the worst security guard ever, he's a good guy. I liked his pointing out that Buddha was anti-violence. I knew from the moment Valentin stalled Gaitok at the gate that the Russians were involved in the robbery. Let's see how that plays out next week. Would Laurie know about the robbery, or will she just think "Why does this guy need me to Venmo him cash - he can just sell at that jewelry?" I'm sure Chloe either made up that story to play with Saxon, or more likely, she and Greg are in on something together. It was funny to watch him squirm, and Chelsea, always the optimist, nodding her head like, "Sure, sounds like a good idea!" The writing was awkward between Piper and Lochlan. Her attitude turned very suddenly with fear when he suggested he stay with her. I don't know if the show wants us to think it's more sinister, or she's just pissed it's no longer "her thing". At this point, I'm rooting for Tim to take out Victoria - gun, poisoned fruit or just making her poor. I realize she's a fan favourite, but I am tired to her schtick.
-
Agreed. At least to start, she seemed to fumble around more than others.
-
YMMV, as they say, but it's not an uncommon theory that's it's not Belinda, given his reaction. I guess most (myself included) would think there would be a more gutteral reaction, even if he's trying to stay quiet.
-
The way Zion (who finds the floating body) reacts does not seem to indicate it's his mother.
-
Putting this in spoilers because while it's unconfirmed, it's a theory that's going around.
-
Not to mention, we learn he's a good shot. Guessing that little tidbit comes in handy soon.

Nobody knows. They mention her early on, but then drop that to focus on the incoming patients. Hopefully she's enjoying a (non egg salad) sandwich with Earl somewhere safe.

S37.E03: Chaotic, Crazy, That’s What We’re Used To
RunningMarket replied to chitowngirl's topic in The Amazing Race
As someone who spent countless hours folding origami cranes as a kid (and I still pick it up from time to time in my 40s) I feel like I would have rocked that detour. Jonathan, we had 1 good episode. His attitude towards his wife when she couldn't master the ball challenge was awful. For many teams, I was concerned about how close the groups were to each other. Would you be penalized if your group couldn't complete a round because a rogue ball came flying into your space? Didn't seem to happen, but it was pretty close a few times. That throwing detour looked awful. I love how the one team (names escape me) did one bad throw and just noped right outta there. Smart move.- 60 replies

Tim was on the deck of his villa. There would not be cameras there. Also yes, the women were partying at their villa with the Russians.
-
Well, I might be rethinking my choice of chamomile tea while I watch television... I think we're starting to see that Lochlan may be more the predator than Saxon. (Although Saxon continues to be gross, I think he's more talk than action.) Gaitok continues to be the worst security guard in history. All he needed to say to Tim was, "We have video proof of you stealing an item from this hotel." There's still a question mark over Fabian. Is he just poorly developed as a character (with only a few episodes left), or is he not as fumbling as he appears? Also, Belinda, you can call the police on your own. Songkran happens in April, so this trip would be in the spring.
-
If his assets are frozen, I'm guessing we're leading up to a situation where Tim won't be able to pay the bill for the trip (and possibly Piper's plan to join the year-long course in Thailand.)

My husband and I were in Bangkok during Songkran many years ago, and it's just as intense. People will throw entire buckets of (freezing cold) water on you! It only takes one before you start to loosen up and enjoy the silliness. The entire country basically has one giant water fight for days. Our pilot even said when we landed, "Welcome to Bangkok. By the way, it's Songkran. You WILL get wet."
