(Listen, many of us have been there, but I thought it was hilarious. "Yeah no, I'm done. Uh, my shoes?") It appears from the previews for next week that Brooks didn't listen to her mama.

IIRC, did the same thing not happen with Tom Petty? He was reported to have passed, then they rescinded that, only to announce his passing officially again hours later (the next day?) While obits for celebrities and statements regarding their passing are pre-planed, especially when one is ill, there should have been time for the wife to inform the management team/PR team in order to stop the release of the news. Regardless, it does sound like it's imminent, and I am sorry for his family.

I howled when Jada actually protected information from Kayla and Steve, although Kayla (rather rudely) dished that back. Jada will soon learn that it's SOP for the Salem PD to give full details of any and all cases to Random Extra #4 who asks. I wasn't watching during the original Ava era, and I know there's a lot of animosity there from those who did. But I like Ava and Jake together. They had a mature conversation about the state of their relationship. I really hope they aren't going to bring Gabi and Jake back together. It will get tiresome quickly I'm sure, but I'm enjoying Kristen running all over town wreaking havoc. Her entire shtick over the coffee was hilarious.

Penny is also mentioned in the (OG movie) bar scene just prior to Goose singing Great Balls of Fire. Meg Ryan's character mentions "the time you went ballistic with Penny Benjamin."

Chanel's dress was the least traditional "wedding dress" of them all. I would vote Nina's as the most "bridal", but that wouldn't fit the continued (producer driven) narrative between these two. Chanel's hyena comment had me laughing. Brooks' ongoing commentary about how icky the sand was was just ridiculous. Girl, as Kenny Rogers once said, know when to fold 'em (when it comes to your drinks). Her outburst at Sarah was way OTT.

This movie is just fun. I love (baby!) Justin Long being delayed saving the crew by having to take out the garbage. My husband and I often refer to re-runs as "historical documents".

I'm in Canada, so not sure if it's airing in the US, but there's a Nature Valley commercial right now that has a horrid paraphrased version of Muffin Man and it makes me want to stab my ears with spoons.

Belle really play the victim card doesn't she? Glad Shawn called her out on it. I also expected nothing less of Hurricane Sami to go blowing on over there to announce it. She must have loved that she had an audience. (Also, bye Ali Sweeney - see you next time they feel Sami needs to come to town.) I did get a good laugh out of Chloe teasing Brady with "who is in the bathroom". "While you were away, I took it up a level."

While I will never accuse this show of being clever, they're pushing the "Lucas wonders if he's guilty" angle way too much for it to actually be him.

It's all evidence that Henderson is behind the murder. (I joke - but I also was joking when I said Jan killed Charlie... oh show.)

Not sorry to see Jan go (again... and again... and again...) I'm sure Heather Lindell is a very nice woman, but she's not a great actress, and Jan is long played out. Any rumours as to who the ragtag villains are?

Great to see the show back. I assume it will be contained to just Canada with COVID still a thing. Didn't actively dislike anyone off the bat, but the brothers (Conner and ?) are a bit too "on". When they ramped it down a few notches, they were fine. A few of the contestants were quite exuberant, so it could be first episode jitters.

My money is still on Henderson.

While Henry Golding (rightfully) gets a lot of love for his good looks, I definitely took notice of Chris Pang in CRA. You scored, Araminta. A hottie with likely way less family dramz. 😆

Ugh, Jack? Seriously. I have no spoilers on who killed Abigail, but I almost hope it was Gwen just so everyone can smack Jack in his face with I told you so. (And I used to like Gwen - when she was initially a shit disturber, not a whiny "nobody looooooves meeeee" mess.) JJ speaketh the truth. Lucas? Reign in the faux-guilt. You're not doing yourself any favours. I feel Kayla's pressure to say the perfect thing. I was asked to speak at a friend's service a few years ago, and it was tough to find the proper words that covered everything while relating to all audiences (his kids were present, not the best time to get into college shenanigans).
