I am finally home (day off) - and the show is preempted by the Queen's Jubilee stuff! Was it aired in the US?

If you don't care about action in a movie, and you admittedly saw this for other people, then no, you likely wouldn't enjoy it as much. This was made for those of who who live and breath by OG Top Gun. I loved it, personally. But I don't know if this will be as endlessly rewatchable or quotable as the original.

We saw it in what we call D-Box, which are the moving/vibrating seats. It was a fantastic way to see it! Loved the call backs to the original movie, like when Maverick first walks in to class. Even the way he carried the clipboard was a call back! I will put this in spoilers, just in case. I was happy that: I thought Tom Cruise and Jennifer Connolly had more chemistry than he did with Kelly McGillis. I bought that they had had an on/off relationship over the years.

Makes so much more sense. I realize that some of the races are planned for times of the year when the weather is more appropriate, but Austin to Silverstone back to Montreal over to Qatar (made up example) is just ridiculous. I was surprised that Lando went with the Cordon stuff as much as he did. I donno, just a vibe I get from his personality made me think he would poo-poo much of it. I did quasi-laugh at the comments made afterwards where people noted maybe McLaren should have spent more time on the race and less on entertaining, as Miami was less than favourable for them.

Who is Li? Is that Shin? Are they together? Apparently I missed something.

She also framed Belle in the process, "freeing" Sean to be with her. I believe she also wanted to impress Claire?

The flashback to MarDevil had better special effects than the present. I gotta say, not super impressed with the devil's general powers. A bunch of people start screaming "I love yooooou" and they just succumb? Should have just torched the place when they had the chance. Couldn't care less about Jan Spears. Please just put her back into a coma for another decade.

It's not a high bar, that's for sure.

OK - we're on the same day then. I just hadn't seen any mention of CHARLIE, so I wondered. I hooted in excitement. Was definitely rooting for Evan. Loved that he decided to (try to) strangle Ciara because she's married to the (reformed) necktie killer. And of course Ciara shows up thinking she's all that on a motorcycle, shakes her hair out after removing her helmet, and demands the devil stop their dirty sinful business.

I'm not sure if Canada is still a day ahead? If so... JUST WAIT UNTIL MONDAY. This was a fantastic episode, IMO. All the evil is truly delicious.

A missed opportunity for Darlene to point out that last time Dan attended her wedding, it ended with him in an ambulance. (I'm sure the writers forgot about that pivotal moment, despite it split the remaining time of the show into the did he/didn't he actually die universe.) Wacky Jackie was in full force and it hurt my ears. OG Jackie would have enjoyed getting engaged/married, but would never have shrieked like a 12 year old at a Taylor Swift concert. The beer/chicken bit was actually funny, which is in short supply lately with this short.

I've seen the beginning of this movie. You have to pay for that channel. 😉

Fred Savage has been fired as EP from the Wonder Years reboot due to misconduct allegations. Apparently this isn't the first time he's been in trouble.

Loved AllieDevil's snark today. "Are you responsible for robo-calls... yes, I am." Ciara's narcissism knows no bounds. "I might never get to hold my son!" - said to Ben's face. It probably wasn't meant that way, but I took Rafe's comment about how everyone was working because they heard "Bo and Hope Brady's grandson was missing" as a dig at Ciara and how she's not that important, but her family legacy is.

What accusation with Sarah make against Nicole? Is this something to do with the theory she might remember back to the baby swap, and not past that?

Back when Ciara was being held by Evan (after her wedding and subsequent finding of Ben, etc.) and was presumed dead, Ben and Ciara communicated telepathically via books she was left in her room by her captures. They both dreamed in Romeo and Juliet.

The nauseating psychic connection scenes may have convinced my husband (sitting with me over lunch) that this "trying working from home a few days" thing isn't worth it. 😆 Did anyone in the writer's room actually pay attention to their Shakespeare studies? Romeo and Juliet doesn't end well for the title characters. Also, I realize it's how soap dialogue works, but holy shit Paulina. Stop screeching for 5 seconds and allow Chanel to explain things. I realize she did get the chance to do so, but it took waaaaay too long to get there. Stay in that coma, Eli. There ain't nothing for you out here.
