  1. Seeing Zhou hanging out in the paddock after that crash was remarkable. Not only did the safety features on the car save him, but the barriers and fencing saved the fans. That could have been very, very bad. Crazy last few laps - what a race! So happy for Mick! Did you see the interview where Seb (his surrogate father in a way) said he was yelling his encouragement at him as he was being passed. Love that.
  2. Christ on a cracker, I thought the non-stop internet usage was lax. You can just hop into bed with a co-ed inmate at Statesville?!
  3. Another great Victor snap. "He's alive!" Victor is in full DGAF mode and I am here for it.
  4. I am hereby requisitioning a full spin off of Pop Up Victor and his snarky one liners. "Where's my lead pipe?" 😆 The rest? Meh.
  5. Maybe Nicole and Rafe think Eric has a better track record at marriages than Marlena, and hope he'll perform the ceremony. 😆 Eli, remember when you actually were angry at Lani skirting the law for Kristen? Now you're all "but our faaaaaamily". Ugh. This whole story line should have been skipped. It should have been Paulina actually shot TR in self defense, and have people react to that. Any idea when the Abby murder mystery is due to wrap up?
  6. I was watching "Susan" closely, and I'm now leaning to the theory that's actually Kristen. She could easily have a "premonition"... if she's involved. Adding... Carson Boatman isn't the best crier, is he? Also, was Johnny particularly close to Abigail? Many of his recent scenes obviously were as JoDevil, but I don't ever remember them having much of a relationship outside of living in the same house. Also - "Jack and Jennifer will never get over this." Not a mention of JJ.
  7. Eh. It was OK. Full disclosure, I've never seen more than 20 minutes of the Howard/Pratt versions, so I was completely uninvested in them. The OG JP was brilliant in its use of psychological scares, it didn't need something blowing up every minute to be an incredible action flick. This could have used about 100% more Ian Malcolm one liners ("think they'll have that on the tour?"). I did laugh at the shirt buttoning, and Laura Dern was wearing a 2022 version of her 1993 outfit (khakis, orange shirt, blue undershirt). Also, Beta was cute.
  8. I have read up/watched many things about the FLDS, but that tape they played in the last episode was the worst. I recommend Rachel Jeff's book (she is one of Warren's daughters, who was molested by him). She goes into a lot of detail about the community, and how yes indeed, Warren still commands the flock from behind bars.
  9. I didn't notice - is it a real scar, or did the show actually remember he's back from the dead?
  10. So let's list the potential suspects: Leo (seen scared clutching a mysterious bag) Lucas (passed out drunk) Gwen (was "missing" from a prison with the worst security in the history of the world) Jan (her labour seemed awfully conveniently timed...) * *Kidding on this one. Maybe. My unspoiled speculation is that Ron will pull a "surprise" and it was Harold or some other off-canvas character who murdered Abigail. (I mean, Harold probably gets paid peanuts and seems to work 24/7). Boy, Belle jumped from "I'm here for as long as you need me Shawn" to "make me feel better EJ" pretty quick.

As WKRP was a little before my time, to me, Howard Hesseman will always be The Chief.

As kids, we would jokingly say if someone from our friend circle walked up to us, <pause> "Maybe they'll just go away". It worked, because we had ALL seen the movie and were in on the joke.

He wasn't a very good illusionist.

I grew up with this movie. Somehow it became the go-to at the sleep overs, and the group of us would stay up all night recreating scenes and quoting all the lines. It is absolutely the funniest movie I've ever seen, and I can watch it endless amounts and never get sick of it. At the start of mask buying, I found one off some website that had 1+2+1+1 on it. I was ashamed no one ever got the reference. It's my favourite along with my "Spaceballs the Face Mask" uh, mask. Comedy in this case, is not just a red herring.
  16. I am finally home (day off) - and the show is preempted by the Queen's Jubilee stuff! Was it aired in the US?
  17. If you don't care about action in a movie, and you admittedly saw this for other people, then no, you likely wouldn't enjoy it as much. This was made for those of who who live and breath by OG Top Gun. I loved it, personally. But I don't know if this will be as endlessly rewatchable or quotable as the original.
  18. We saw it in what we call D-Box, which are the moving/vibrating seats. It was a fantastic way to see it! Loved the call backs to the original movie, like when Maverick first walks in to class. Even the way he carried the clipboard was a call back! I will put this in spoilers, just in case. I was happy that: I thought Tom Cruise and Jennifer Connolly had more chemistry than he did with Kelly McGillis. I bought that they had had an on/off relationship over the years.
  19. My husband and I pretty much simultaneously said "It's EYE-gor!"
  20. Makes so much more sense. I realize that some of the races are planned for times of the year when the weather is more appropriate, but Austin to Silverstone back to Montreal over to Qatar (made up example) is just ridiculous. I was surprised that Lando went with the Cordon stuff as much as he did. I donno, just a vibe I get from his personality made me think he would poo-poo much of it. I did quasi-laugh at the comments made afterwards where people noted maybe McLaren should have spent more time on the race and less on entertaining, as Miami was less than favourable for them.
  21. Who is Li? Is that Shin? Are they together? Apparently I missed something.
  22. She also framed Belle in the process, "freeing" Sean to be with her. I believe she also wanted to impress Claire?
  23. Also, BO! Nice to see you back. I so wish it wasn't to prop up the self absorbed narcissist and reformed serial killer.
  24. The flashback to MarDevil had better special effects than the present. I gotta say, not super impressed with the devil's general powers. A bunch of people start screaming "I love yooooou" and they just succumb? Should have just torched the place when they had the chance. Couldn't care less about Jan Spears. Please just put her back into a coma for another decade.
  25. It's not a high bar, that's for sure.
