  1. YES! I definitely noticed this and was uncertain if it was my t.v. or the show. It now seems like it was the show. It was completely distracting and really took away from the scenes (and maybe this was the intention...).
  2. I think the issue with Johnny's low vote totals is that we are quite a few years out from his skating years and although he won several national and other competitions, I don't think he won any Olympic medals which is what most people watch if they watch ice skating. I love watching him on the other shows he works on-such as Wedding Cake Championship and various skating shows during which he and Tara Lipinsky provide commentary. I look forward to what he will wear (and his hairstyles). However, those shows do not pull in the number of viewers that DWTS does and so he may not be that well known to many viewers even though there are people like me who continue to watch him on various other shows. So, overall, I don't think he is as well known as a skater as some of the others who have been on DWTS.
  3. I also liked that in the early seasons not every idea was a million (or multi-million) dollar idea...
  4. Oh, oh, oh-I just thought of this: Deaven and her mom are anti-vaccers. Therefore, Deaven probably won't get the required shots for the puppy which will endanger the dog as well as anybody or animal it may bite (which in my mind is VERY likely as it will try to defend itself against Druscilla...).
  5. Since this was the premiere I would have really preferred that all the chairs were filled by the standard sharks rather than bring in a guest shark. At least he seemed interested in actually, you know, investing as sometimes I feel like the guests don't really want to invest and are just there for exposure (like many of the pitches).
  6. I found the escalating tensions between Mary and Mark to be really interesting and well done. I think that the son will end up being with his "client" rather than the wife he was desperately trying to win back. However, he is referring to his client as a therapist type so he may solidly have her in the friends with benefits (and an apartment and money...) category. Since the youngest sister told the older sister that she always had a crush on the husband, I wonder if that will go anywhere. I can't believe that this all gets wrapped up next week.
  7. This show got a bit too real for me during the Yahzan scenes. I was heart broken for him because he believed Brittany. He was full in and she is a user and liar. I really hope that he realizes that she is just using him and that he is able to repair his relationship with his family. No family, no job, no home, and Brittany just cares about her social media. I think Ari puts blame on others. After she recovered she put so much blame on the doctor "I just wanted to breathe..." No, you were throwing a tantrum and the longer you took to finally agree the more in danger the baby would become. I agree with everyone else that Bini was sprouting nonsense, but it was very telling when he was shopping with his sister and indicated that Ari wants what she wants and he will hear about it if what he brings home isn't the perfect match to what she wants. She also wants "Ave" because it is close to her name. I hope that Bini has parental rights and she won't be able to easily take the baby out of Ethiopia. I am a woman and I believe that fathers have rights and they should be respected (along with mothers) and that it shouldn't be automatic that mothers can do whatever they want, whenever they want regarding parental rights. Fast forwarded Tim and Melyza. Don't care. I feel for that puppy that Deaven and Jihoon got. Drusilla will abuse it in some way (no spoilers, just based on her recorded behaviors). I just don't understand all the second wedding nonsense (I loved the visuals of the Korean ceremony). Oh, and if you don't want to keep having to clean urine out of the rugs, maybe house train your new puppy. Ooops, I forgot, Deaven doesn't believe in training children let alone puppies. My bad.
  8. There are age requirements for the shingles shot. One has to be 65 (I got my shot as soon as I turned 65-on my birthday as a matter of fact...).
  9. There are many people beyond those with European ancestry who mistake those with various ethnic ancestries.
  10. Like others, my favorite part of the episode was watching the jealousy Nicole had for Janelle and her "bombshell" cover.
  11. That's pretty similar to Colton-considered former pro football player, but never played in an actual game.
  12. I just don't understand what most of these Americans are thinking when they relocate to another country and then demand/expect every single thing to be the same. Kenny expects Armando's experiences as a gay man to be the same as his (and I guess he expects Armando's entire family to be able to speak English). Brittany expects to be able to continue with her career (?) on instagram. Ari expects apartments and cars to be as bright, new, and shiny as in the U.S.-oh, and that everything will be far less expensive than in the U.S. (I LOVED that the doctor interrupted her whining to point out that these things happen "even in your country" [I cannot even begin to guess how often that doctor had to hear that phrase from her]). Jenny expects to be able to defy societal norms, etc. I found it very telling that Armando asked Kenny not to pressure him so much and Kenny responded that he wasn't pressuring Armando. Ah, yes, Kenny you were. Every single time you told Armando how to open up, he needed to just tell everyone, etc., was YOU pressuring him. I am so over Kenny. THIS is why people should not be on reality shows-they may think that they can control their image, but eventually the true person comes out.
  13. I actually watched a few episodes of Whiskey Cavalier. I really enjoyed to foreign locales of the show... I've never been a fan of Maggie (liked the sister even less), but at this point I'm just happy to watch a character whose name I actually know while also knowing their back story. Over these last few seasons they introduced so many new characters and then killed off most of them, so there wasn't a point (for me) of learning about the new characters.
  14. So, we got to hear "I'm an American and I'm used to..." again in the Paris episode. Don't leave America if you want everything American in your new location. I really liked the large two bedroom apartment in central Paris. Although they kept referencing buying versus renting (return on money, etc.), I think she is so new to living in Paris that it would have been valuable to rent for a while first to make sure she wanted to continue to live in France.
  15. I just wanted to say how much I love the title for this thread!
  16. I really think that someone connected to the show should buy it and turn it into a Schitt's Creek destination for fans. If it were close to where I live (it isn't) I would go after travel restrictions are listed. I think it would be a really fun travel destination. Of course, I have no money so am unable to realize this idea... However, I also think they really should make The Crows III: The Crowening (can't remember it's real name)...
  17. I think that Olivia may have bought into the "happy wife, happy life" nonsense that so many people seem to support. I think she believed that once married, it should be everything she wanted-hence all of the "discussions" because she could not get Brett to act in accordance with her desires and perspectives. I really liked the phrase "happy spouse, happy house" that Pastor Cal used in one of the episodes because it indicates a more equitable scenario.
  18. During the Amelia and Bennett scene I was a bit angry at Dr. Pepper. She bragged during Unfiltered that she made Dr. Viv and Pastor Cal match Amelia and Bennett. While they may be perfect for each other, my anger was directed towards matching two people knowing that one of them almost certainly would have to move within six months (there may have been a slight chance that Amelia would have been matched to a hospital in New Orleans, but it was far more likely that she would be matched elsewhere). Bennett ended up deciding to split his time between Richmond and New Orleans, but I feel it was unfair to intentionally place someone in the position of having to make such a decision so soon after being married. I'm a bit peeved at Amelia for even signing up to get married knowing she most likely would be moving, but it's the producers and Dr. Pepper who actually cast her instead of someone else. I also think that Henry "hides" behind his shyness. He started to justify his lack of communication to Pastor Cal by saying that is just how he is and he can't change it. I was so glad that Pastor Cal told him that yes he can change it. I was saying it right along with Pastor Cal. Maybe Henry just doesn't want to be bothered to even interact with Christina, but he certainly can clearly communicate with someone when he wants to. I'm 100% on Team Brett. Olivia has consistently complained about Brett's lack of communication when instead she means his lack of subjugating his goals to hers. I think Olivia believes that good communication is when everyone agrees with her, otherwise she will keep trying to convince them of her rightness and their wrongness. Her insistence on traveling during COVID may have just been the last straw for Brett. He stayed for the original timeline of the "social experiment" but was not interested in spending an unknown amount of time in an environment in which Olivia made her disdain known to him. I don't understand why she was upset that there wasn't any food in the apartment after he left as she often told us that she prefers to eat out (I'm assuming there was carry out/delivery available). I felt so bad for Miles as I think he is one of the most sincere participants that this show has had and that he really wanted to get married. I think it must hurt a bit that his best friend is so happy with his match (wife) while Miles is in a one-way relationship. Adore Woody and Amani, but I side with Amani about getting a puppy before having a baby. I've had friends who have gotten puppies and babies at the same time and it's just too overwhelming. Train the puppy before having a baby (IMO).
  19. I really enjoyed this. Loved the subtle story telling that slowly started peeling the characters' layers. I kind of like the "nosy neighbor" trope as it is reminiscent of Miss Marple and other mystery characters (seemingly non-dangerous but know everything that is going on). I am eagerly looking forward to the next episode.
  20. Ok, it's probably just me, but I liked Judge John wearing a suit-kind of implies the importance of court. Oh well. I over all enjoy these segments. And, dare I say it? I enjoy Harvey answering legal questions. I was really surprised in the no-prom party case that JM asked the mom if she was buying champagne for the party. She was probably kidding, but the mom answered it seriously (no, my child is autistic so she doesn't drink and we didn't serve alcohol...). I guess that I didn't like JM promoting the idea of serving alcohol at a prom party. Yes, I know that a LOT of teens drink-especially on prom night (high school teacher for over 30 years...) but that doesn't mean that someone in a seemingly powerful position (albeit a t.v. judge, not a "real" judge) should be seen as advocating or supporting parents supplying alcohol (which is a HUGE issue as many parents state that they would rather the kids drink at their home rather than elsewhere [of course, every kid there other than their own are drinking "elsewhere"]). Okay, I'm off of my soapbox now...
  21. I think Rabbi and Doctor Senator are the essential characters of the season. And, perhaps the nurse will take out other people through various misunderstandings. Like an above poster I don't know what she was trying to do with the pie (give the whole family diarrhea? to what end?). I hope that the story develops a bit more in the next episode.
  22. I don't get why Ginger is so very angry at Margaret rather than at Eugene and/or her own mother. Margaret didn't know she existed-sure she tried to buy her off (as would many people), but she never had a role in hiding or denying her existence. Ginger said her mother didn't want to hurt Eugene as she loved him, but shouldn't her mother have cared more about Ginger? I really like Antonio-he seems like he has a good heart, but there will definitely be something up with his own mother. I think the pastor is behind everything.
  23. I had to turn this off after it started with Angela and her yelling. She never lets anyone else speak as she just yells over them and she demonstrated out of control anger when she kept yelling even after she was off of the screen/zoom. I just don't understand why so many cast members and viewers see her as funny and endearing. "That's Angela" should never be used as an excuse for her behavior. Yet, she keeps getting rewarded by the producers for her horrible behavior. She threw out "$200,000" for IVF then claimed being pregnant would get in the way of enjoying her (celebrity) lifestyle. However, she kept telling Michael that she would do whatever to have his child. I really wish the producers would fire each and every one of the cast members who threaten others with violence. No wonder we see increasing violent acts in the U.S.-via these shows, social media, other entertainment venues, threats and violence are seen as cultural norms. Shawn should have IMMEDIATELY shut down all of the threats and grandstanding related to violence.
  24. So what with all of the gnashing of their teeth over the fact that Asuelu didn't comfort Kalani when she was getting emotional, I noticed that nobody from Kalani's family was trying to comfort Asuelu when he talked about his mother and her disregard for his wife and sons. So, Kalani can just sit there "stoically" while Asuelu talks about something very heartfelt and emotional for him, but if Kalani talks about a difficult situation he BETTER be comforting her or Lisa will tell him his behavior is disgusting?
