  1. iPhone/13.3.1/Safari and I’m seeing this issue as well. I see the yellow new post marker, but am routed to the top of the page for each thread.
  2. Can we campaign to get this episode replayed, since they’re fine with playing episodes from this era?
  3. They really shouldn’t have killed off Morgan. He was such an interesting foil to Golden Boy Michael.

    The Star Wars Saga

@andromeda331 I just think of the new cannon established in Rogue One, where Vader literally watches the plans board Leia’s ship mere moments before he captures her, and she plays it off all “what plans.” It’s such shades of Clone Wars Anakin, you know that causes Vader’s tempers to flare. I hope they write a book or comic series some day that explores the Vader/Leia dynamic, because no one really acknowledges that she grew up right under his nose, with Alderaan being a core planet, and her being a part of the political scene from a young age.

    The Star Wars Saga

Leia was stubborn like Padme, but I always thought her personality was more like Anakin’s smartass side (that was mostly present in the Clone Wars cartoon)
  6. So when they say next week will be the “best of” the Nurse’s Ball, it will all be from the last 8 years and not from the 90’s during the Nurse’s Ball hey day. Guess I’ll poke through old you tube clips instead...
  7. Agreed. The show actually does a better job of developing Marianne's family than the book did. Her brother was just an over the top ass in the book (more so than the show, but at least it was more obvious in the show how insecure and jealous he was of Marianne's potential), and her mother was just kind of there.
  8. I kind of wish they just did a special on ABC soaps (even though they were clearly favored by the special), but that's just because it's my mom's network of choice, so that's what I grew up on. They only sort of skimmed the surface on a lot of my favorite story lines. I would have also liked if they did segments on the following: Recasts SORAS-ing Camp (although they kind of did that, but I would have loved a shot of Ford v Chandalier and Duke's cheese fondue face) Also, what was Jon "Just Happy to be Here" Hamm doing on the special? At least Bryan Cranston did a couple of soaps, I couldn't find any on Jon's IMDB page. I'm not mad that he was there, I'm just wondering what brought him there? Is he just REALLY into soaps?
  9. Richard Madden and Kit Harrington are both in Marvel's Eternals movie.
  10. I'm getting fuzzy on the timeline already. When did Connell admit to Marianne that he was going to ask to stay with her over the summer? I thought it was right after he got mugged. I think she would have left Jamie for Connell in that moment, like she did with her first college boyfriend, but then Connell announced he was dating Helen, and I think Marianne decided to step aside because Helen was grounded and normal, and probably better for Connell. I'm not sure why Connell didn't break up with Helen after Italy though, when it became clear how deeply reliant both he and Marianne were in their connection.
  11. As much as I love the concept of a marriage of convenience taking place in the middle of the night at the Quartermaine mansion and officiated by Lucy Coe, I hate everything about this story. Maybe it’s from Emily’s old collection?
  12. The book doesn't use quotations to signify when dialogue is happening, which is kind of annoying, but you get used to it. I can't say that there's any differences from the book that I missed. I thought the show was much better.
  13. Marianne drove me crazy in the book sometimes, especially when she'd go off on people for selling out because they got a job, as if she'd ever have to work a day in her life because she came from money. I'm glad they dropped that side of her characterization from the book.

    The Star Wars Saga

Fourth of May be with you.
  15. The acting was superb, and I liked the slight tweaks they made to the book. I watched it all yesterday and am already planning a rewatch.
  16. I’ve read the book. Definitely not a comedy. Wish they’d just do 6 hour long episodes, but they’re probably trying to stretch out people’s subscriptions. I’ll be watching. Low stake steamy drama with pretty scenery. Done.
  17. To be fair, he's about the same age as Robert Patinson, who I would put in the same category as the other actors listed, but he got cast in the right franchise at the right time.
  18. The risk would mostly be in who had touched the kiosk right before you, or the armrests of your chair, or any part of the bathroom should you have to use it, or any handle or handrail you have to touch entering or leaving rooms. Workers would have to sanitize the entire theater between every showing, regardless of how many people were in attendance.
  19. The studio should do the world a favor and begin streaming this movie immediately. The world needs this.
  20. Does it count as a natural birth when you hemorrhage and need a blood transfusion? Why say you would consider a hospital birth when you’ve used a hospital in relation to two of your three births. Like good for you for foregoing the epidural, but don’t dismiss the medical intervention you needed to save your life after the fact.
  21. In the Jinger thread, there were pictures of Gideon at the breakfast. Wonder why he isn’t in the group shot. Did he take the picture?
  22. To be fair, Harrison Ford's salary probably took up a decent chunk of that budget.
  23. Is that even a Whole Foods? I've never seen one so sterile white and brightly lit before. I thought they just bought bags from home to recycle.

    The Star Wars Saga

Aside from reuniting with her parents, her goals are turning Ren back to the light... for some reason. Getting Luke to come out of exile... for some reason. And to speak with all the voices of the Jedi past... for some reason. I get that they were trying to give her a found family, but the character felt very isolated from everyone else, especially in TLJ. Luke was very much isolated in Empire as well, but there were still scenes on Hoth that showed how close the team had become. Rey’s best developed relationships were with Finn and Han in the first movie, but they decided that she was all about the Skywalker legacy, and that connection just felt hollow to me.
