Time for important questions: which soundtrack will skaters hyper fixate on next year now that they’ve got Dune out of their systems. My money is on Wicked.

It’s devastating because I really wanted to see Torgy succeed, but Ilia and Jason have been keeping US men’s figure skating afloat this quad. Jason deserves the Olympic slot he’ll likely get, and I hope they give him the SP for the Team Event so he can bring home another Olympic medal. He’s earned it.

Grad school? Kid is old enough to be a tenured professor!

To set expectations, I believe most of the “older skaters” (including Nathan Chen) only introduce the currently competitive skaters.

Nationals is going to be intense next year. Alysa will have the shield of being the “reigning World Champion” but Amber and Isabeau are going to have to fend off Sarah Everhardt. And Bradie Tennell isn’t completely out yet if she has a strong Grand Prix.

Holy shit Alysa Liu!

Okay, but how did Rick back out of the parking spot, traverse the parking garage, and drive city streets without realizing his breaks were cut. Why did the breaks wait until he reached highway speeds before giving out? (Also why were they on the highway? Doesn’t Elizabeth live in a walk up brownstone? I’d think she’d live a few local roads from Ava’s apartment complex.

What I find more shocking is China didn’t have any entries for Pairs. Didn’t they use to dominate that event?

And that late-90s size XXXL men’s fashion.

I was thinking the same thing for Alysa. Every time she does her SP it is a moment. Like Mariah Bell doing Hallelujah.

Was able to follow along on Peacock this afternoon. The final group really struggled (except for Isabeau.) I’m glad Amber was able to hold it together after she fell on the 3A. With Sakamoto’s mistake, I think the podium is still pretty open. Alysa has struggled with her long program (and will be skating with her peer group this time) and Isabeau has pretty much missed the whole season, so they’re still wild cards. Congrats to both of them for doing so well in the SP! The ladies are right on track for the Top 10 placements they need to clench the 3 spots for the Olympics AND are serious podium contenders!

It was made clear that Brennan will never know what it’s like to have a child and he responded with a very meaningful silence.

Ugh, it’s Vaughn isn’t it. I get that there are some international courts that would like to get their hands on him, but, like he just poisoned someone in Port Charles. Maybe they approved of him being extradited and will wait their turn to convict. Bank of Tracy is always the answer.

His hair did look voluminous and clean today though, which was kind of hilarious, like he finally had access to Elizabeth’s miracle haircare routine.

The text was so weird, like Lucky and Kristina were up to some shady shenanigans and not that Kristina had lost her keys and was desperate to overshare with Lucky. I do love JJs “please confide in anyone but me” reactions though.

For someone who carries around Jason’s memories like a detailed Wikipedia page, I can’t fathom why he’d ever do this to Lila. Even from the perspective of a sleazy politician, digging up the beloved town matriarch is such a terrible idea.

She was doing this before anyone knew she was knocked up. I remember a scene in the Q kitchen after the nanny cam footage was shown where she was gossiping with Brook Lynn and Chase over desserts.

Like geez, refer to him as “my father” or even his preferred pronouns every now and then. Poppa has become nails on a chalkboard because she repeats it a billion times per scene. Yuri was having so much fun! I keep on forgetting that Kristina is both Rocco’s and Danny/Scout’s aunt. Speaking of which, even Kristina, who I can’t stand, has better chemistry with Isaiah than Jordan. Now that Ava has delivered a promo worthy “Drew has it coming to him” speech, I think we’re finally getting to the whodunnit.
-
Lucky is more or less shacking up with Elizabeth at this point, so space would be freeing up. This will bring the most drama. Plus, Charlotte and Danny might be distantly related enough (Alexis and Valentin are cousins) to pair them up for the “I can’t believe you fell for my sister!” of it all.

Lucas was at a medical conference. The guy could have been a psychiatrist (could have, being the operative words.)
-
I’m just surprised Sasha didn’t burst into flames with all her indignation over Willow being unfaithful to Michael while Sasha is at a routine medical appointment to check on the development of the baby she adulterously conceived with Willow’s husband. “I didn’t break any marriage vows.” Sure, you didn’t, but Michael certainly did.

I think Ava mentioned her connections to the art world got her comped tickets. I also had zero sympathy for Kristina because she’s never expressed any interest in the arts or ballet and Avery would probably have more fun with her mother rather than her killjoy sister who always acts like she’s just eaten a lemon.

And in the context of the show, nobody will care that he died. They’ll exchange fruit baskets with the most likely suspect and then move on. How many unsolved murders are still lingering? Austin, Jagger, and Cyrus? Jason is the prime suspect in Cyrus’s murder yet is galavanting around Argentina.
-
How many lawyers does that make in Port Charles? 5? 7 if we count Molly and that one prosecutor who tries all the cases.

And Aiden was also dressed like a 50-something dad on his way to his kid’s recital.
