  1. The landscape of television has changed so much since the last strike, I don't think the impacts of this one will be immediately felt. In 2007, we were still looking at 20+ episode seasons, all of which were abruptly cut short with the strike. Now you have 10 episode seasons that are all in the can before they premiere. It'll be months before the general public starts making noise, unless they start threatening a delay to something like Stranger Things production schedule.
  2. The category used to be great for highlighting up and coming talent. They should have capped the age at 21, because they're basically relegating the entire "teen scene" to the supporting categories, which are already crowded. There are so few soaps left, and so few child performers, that this category may as well be dead under the new rules.
  3. It was Kendall. I feel like in this instance, Logan or his estate are the only ones who could sue over it. Kendall had the finance guy running the numbers, and he said they could make an argument for the claim.
  4. There are so many potential holes here. Like if only some of the jurors were recruited as volunteers, but others were "summoned" traditionally, what would happen to the documentary crew if one of the "summoned" jurors didn't want to be a part of the documentary? Or, what would happen if none of the recruited jurors were selected to sit on the trial. It was a fun show, but it depended heavily on Ron not asking too many questions.
  5. This episode felt very much like Waystar = Disney (I know, overall it's Roys=Murdochs, but for this specific product...) in which case, I 100% believe retirees would funnel all of their remaining savings into the brand.
  6. After Logan's shocking death (I mean we all knew he was going to die, but the story beat it happened on was shocking to me) I 100% thought Kendall was going to drown. I thought the same thing. There was a very deliberate shot of Tom touching Shiv's waist. Has there been confirmation that he doesn't know she's pregnant? I think he already knows.
  7. I think it's a perfect example of Everyone's an A-hole here. Kendall and Roman are both being shady with their plot to hold onto the company and cut Shiv out of their plans, meanwhile Shiv is holding onto pivotal information that would support Kendall and Roman's "concerns." There are no heroes here. I agree. It's an interesting shift in their dynamic. Throughout the series, Tom has been willing to kiss any ass that was in power, until it was decided that Shiv would be Logan's successor. Now he actually seems to respect her as a player. Also, when they were discussing that every move they make is for their own self interest, I couldn't help but think of the season 2 finale when Shiv begged Logan to spare Tom. I'm sure they'll betray one another before series end, but their story was the only one holding my attention this episode. I do feel like they killed off Logan too early this season. Or, at least, the aftermath of Logan's death isn't what I expected. I agree with a past poster. They haven't even buried him yet! I would have preferred the kids versus Logan's estate to all this Mattson stuff.
  8. I will say, as someone who could barely make it 10 chapters into the book (after loving the original trilogy) the trailer did hold my interest.

    Ghosted (2023)

It depends on what you consider “outskirts” because it does in fact look like that around 45 minutes outside of DC.

    Ghosted (2023)

It’s so bad! Me too! I was just aghast that we were supposed to believe that Tate Donovan was Chris Evans’ dad, but then I realized he’s almost 60. When did that happen!?! This movie was originally supposed to star Scarlett Johansson, and I think she would have been much better suited for the role. Although the script was so weak, I doubt it would have helped much.
  11. Ryan Murphy loves casting nepo babies too! Emma Roberts, Kaia Gerber, and Paris Jackson are all heavily in his rotation.
  12. Yes, and while the battle by jetpack was cool to watch, all I could think about was whether they found the Imperial jet fuel stash to tap off of after spending so much time flying around Mandalore before they got there.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if one of his Force sensitive clones survived. Then again, we all speculated the worst for this episode, and it ended with Din relaxing on the porch while his son played happily in the front yard. Seriously. What a piece of junk! Maybe Grogu will rebuild it with proper Jedi finesse. Although all of Anakin's light saber hilts broke too, so...
  14. If she can prove paternity, can she sue the estate for child support? How does that work when the parent is dead?
  15. They have mentioned her a lot this season.
  16. Agreed. Greg has been totally unnecessary the last two episodes. I fell like even the writers know it, since they had him penciled into Logan's wishes as a question mark.
  17. Someone pointed out that Kendall Logan Roy has the initials "KLR"... Logan named him Killer.
  18. She showed a lot of genuine devotion toward him while he was recovering from his stroke. I think all of her insistence that she and Logan spoke intimately every night, was more of keeping with the narrative of "the firm" than to hold onto her piece of the pie. She's legally his wife, I agree with you, had Logan wanted another arrangement, he would have quietly bought her out, but he didn't. Reap the benefit of your patience, Marcia!
  19. Somebody noted that Marcia hadn’t seen Logan in 7 weeks, so it’s been at least 7 weeks since Caroline’s wedding. The other clue is Shiv’s pregnancy. She just got the results from her amnio, which is done around 14 weeks, at the earliest. Plus you have to subtract the two weeks from pregnancy, where you’re not actually pregnant, so if the baby is Tom’s and they conceived during their “I don’t even love you” sex, about 3-4 months have passed since the finale. I didn’t get the impression she was pregnant during season 3. I don’t think she would be so adamant about embryos if she were already pregnant, unless she was still in denial. Tom was actively trying to conceive before he went to prison, so maybe. It’s also possible that the baby isn’t his, which could stretch the timeline further. So the answer to your question is at minimum 7 weeks have passed, but more likely 3-4 months have passed, potentially more.
  20. I thought the LA Obit said "84... we think" or something tongue and cheek along those lines. The gap between season 1 and 2 was a couple of days. Kendall barely had any time to dry out before they plucked him from rehab. And then the gap between season 2 and 3 was mere minutes, because we followed Kendall out of the press conference. The gap between season 3 and 4 has been the only one to have an appreciable shift in time, but not a huge amount, because the deal still hasn't closed.
  21. According to the HBO Podcast, season 4 is going to be 10 consecutive days, with an episode covering each day. Vulture did an analysis, and it looks like approximately one year has passed between the Pilot and the season 4 premiere, since they both involve Logan's birthday.
  22. I saw someone compare Din to Jon Snow, and I swear, if they give Bo-Katan the Daenerys "Mad Queen" arc, I'll riot.
  23. Yeah, the fact we followed her off planet to the ship felt ominous. I don’t know if it was for suspense, since we knew the Imperials were after them, we just didn’t know when they’d show up. Plus the episode was called “The Spies” so I was waiting for a big betrayal. It felt nefarious. Okay, so I don’t ship Bo and Din, but I like that she’s basically adopted Grogu as well, and they’re both proud parents with different world views that have managed to compliment one another. I can see this show ending with them ruling together in some capacity, with Grogu as their heir. I wonder if the mentions of Thrawn is a warning that this show will crossover with Ahsoka, and whatever cliffhanger they establish at the end of this season will be neatly resolved in the middle of another show, a la The Book of Boba Fett.
  24. I ended up watching the episode a second time, and there were so many extras in every scene with the kids openly talking about their father's health. When Kendall was on the roof demanding the best "Airplane Medicine Doctor in the World" the camera zoomed out to show there were wedding guests sitting a few feet away outside the frame. There was also a shot where Tom was finding a private spot to call Greg and there were a bunch of randos sitting in the back room. Press, maybe? People also make a hobby of listening to air traffic control towers and Flight Aware, so there may have been speculation of a plane requiring an emergency landing, and the change of Waystar's flight path. Basically, there were a ton of incidences where the news could have been leaked. The incident reminded me of when Carrie Fisher died, and the reports started to leak mid-flight (obviously it leaked quickly because it was a commercial flight with a lot more witnesses)
  25. Shiv is always listed as Logan's youngest child and only daughter. I agree that Roman radiates "youngest child energy" but Shiv is younger (Sarah Snook is even 5 years younger than Kieren Culkin)
