  1. I like Sasha, but tying her to the Scorpios seems pointless. Marrying Cody would have given her the same connections. If Robin or Robert were still major players then yes, introducing a sister/daughter would open story potential. The best thing they could do with this revelation is to lean into Sasha’s con artist past, because the willowy victim isn’t working. Maybe she can fill the PI void that Sam left behind (run the pesky dog lady out of town.) It would be a good opportunity to chem test her with JJ.
  2. And what’s the point of making Sasha a Scorpio when Holly is only here temporarily and Tristan seems to be on his way out. I hope what actually happens is we learn Robert is not Sasha’s father after all, but his nostalgia inspires him to move closer to Robin so he can live his remaining years with his daughter and grandchildren.
  3. JJ and NAC both have bad timing. NAC is a classic late-90s/early-00s teen heartthrob, while JJ would have made bank as a Gen-Z icon today.
  4. I have high hopes for Thursday’s A Reason for the Season.
  5. I’m still way behind on catching up with the year’s crop, but I liked Holiday Mismatch. While the love story was sort of a back burner thing, the young couple had more chemistry and a more believable romance than most of the other movies this year.
  6. I’m sure they’ll chem test him against nuLulu. Or they’ve been sprinkling a lot of meaningful moments with Elizabeth just in case JJ bails. Carly is always an option too for whenever he’s desperate. With all the couples imploding recently, there’s going to be a lot of shuffling between Lucky, Liz, Dante, Lulu, Cody, Sasha, Michael, and Willow.
  7. I wanted to line the Christmas Trivia movie because I usually love the found family ones but the main character was so unlikable! I couldn’t imagine what the football coach saw in her. There’s a way to make Type-A charming and endearing (see Taylor Townsend and Andie McPhee) and this wasn’t it.
  8. I want a running gag about the Quartermaine’s not caring about the peril that Sasha’s in and constantly complaining about whatever meal they just missed.
  9. Jason will gift Dante the apartment and kids to avoid this. From a production standpoint, someone will live there because the set is already built.
  10. Willow is way too drippy for that. Maybe they could have pulled it off with Nelle, but Willow doesn’t have the edge for it. I’m still bitter that they copped out on AJ and Carly rekindling their situationship. Sean Kanan was the only actor Laura Wright sparked with (IMO) and they would have nailed the “I hate that I love you” soapy dynamic.
  11. Dante waxing on about how great Sam was. How she decorated the apartment every holiday, pausing to emphasize Halloween. The camera pulls back to a wide shot. The set dressings are completely barren. There were never any Halloween decorations and the camera man knows it.
  12. I think Willow will have a pregnancy scare and admit to Michael there was a who’s the daddy risk and he’ll “forgive” her. Then Sasha will realize she’s pregnant and when Willow finds out Michael is the father she’ll divorce him for being so sanctimonious while he was a big fat cheater too.
  13. All I could think was “who’s the mommy?” doesn’t work as a concept with Michael’s immediate bed hopping. RIP JaSam love theme.
  14. So should we start placing bets on Lulu waking up this Friday or next Friday. This Friday would be soapier, but this show has terrible pacing problems, so it’ll probably be the second week of December.
  15. Michael’s indignation at Willow and Drew kissing a second time while wearing a bathrobe after drunkenly screwing Sasha was hilarious! WTF guys? Get dressed!
  16. When they showed the flashback to Ned discovering the kiss, I just assumed the kid in the scene was Wiley. There are way too many random kids and teens on this show.
  17. Do you think Chad Duell saw the day’s script, realized he’d have to put in some mild effort and decided to just call in sick.
  18. I’ve been underwhelmed by the offerings so far. I wanted to like Twas the Date Before Christmas, but Robert Buckley already has a fake dating Christmas Movie, The Christmas Contract, which was better. I also struggled with Christmas Charade. Even though the concepts are fairly different, the entire movie all I could think was I’d rather be watching Catch Me if You Claus from last year. Holiday Crashers has probably been the best of the bunch so far. Although, the romance felt forced. They’ve been striking out on chemistry more often than not. Which leads to The 5 Year Christmas Party. I agree with others, there was no chemistry between the leads, which is critical for a slow burn love story. I really like Jordan Fischer and Katie Findlay, so this was disappointing. It seemed very niche for theatre kids.
  19. I was distracted by how incestuous the scene was. Sonny, father to Sam’s stillborn, sister, and boyfriend. I’m glad KM and NLG got another goodbye scene. It would have been awful if their last scene together was that mess with Molly and Kristina. Are the Eckert pastries going to give the hospital staff food poisoning mid-procedure. They were making too big a deal of the pastries.
  20. Performance of the day goes to Steve Burton. When Sam told him he couldn’t let Danny ride motorcycles, he gave the perfect perplexed reaction of having no idea who she was talking about, while also recognizing it was too late to ask.
  21. Young people don’t want China sets because they don’t want to hand wash them after every use. The Quartermaine’s have people like Sasha doing their dishes, so no such concern.
  22. *Rocco and Dante stand above a comatose Lulu, now played by Alexa Havens* Rocco: I don’t get it Dad. I thought Sam’s liver was supposed to save mom. Dante: It did. Rocco: Then why won’t she wake up? Dante: A liver doesn’t cure brain damage. What would make you think that?
  23. I feel like they’ve pretty much erased Lucky as a father figure to Cam and Jake (except for Grandma Laura.) When Elizabeth was talking about Aiden’s interest in music, I was like, “Hello! Cameron!” It’s a shame WL and NAC aren’t around to work with JJ. The rest of the young cast is a personality void because there are so many legacy characters in the same age range, they’ve received zero development.
  24. I can’t tell if they’re purposely chem testing them, or if they’re just sparking. It’s dumb, but it’s so soapy, so I kind of love it. Holly’s eyes bugging out as Felicia described Sasha and Cody’s love story was hilarious.
  25. He can’t be credited for Dawson’s Creek exactly, but he can be credited for Pacey and Joey, which may be even more important.
