  1. That’s what I was thinking. He sounds African, by way of Manchester (which is fine, unless he’s a scammy scammer who scams).
  2. At least she didn’t say she’s been “dating” Nigerian guy for 2 years.
  3. But you could put a single leaf on a salad, and be a blogger!
  4. I thought some random weird guy was reaching out to me on Instagram. Turns out my cousin chose a stupid IG handle.
  5. Then that’s not championing diversity. Good designers work with clients of varying shapes, sizes, heights, and other “design opportunities” (which I prefer to saying body challenges). The fact that they are all amazing athletes should be the common denominator, not that they all use wheelchairs.
  6. Andrew McCarthy is 1000 page worthy! Good choice.
  7. Can we stop with the concern trolling about weight, and the "medicalising" of abuse (he's not abusive, he's got bipolar disorder!).
  8. Sebastian just showed at NYFW. Christian, Elaine, Brandon, Nina, and Carlie were all at the show to support him. I would have gone to support him too, if only I had been invited.
  9. At least it was a well fitting dress!
  10. Sergio just got roasted by Diet Prada. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8UYkR0nvzJ/?igshid=1r1rax2de11uy
  11. I agree. I would love to see someone wearing that on the red carpet, and really wish and hope that someone does. Mr. Hula-la was super impressed with it too. Alas, he is not a celebrity, and we have no red carpet in our future, so he won’t be the one wearing it.
  12. There are a few, but I agree that the focus on “plus size”, seems to only focus on women. https://www.thecut.com/2019/10/the-new-frontier-of-plus-size-male-modeling.html
  13. Thanks to everyone for letting me know what happened at the end of the show. My toilet decided that right then was a great time to almost overflow, so my rush to grab towels means I missed it.
  14. Billy Porter will be on Sesame Street. I will never not love this gown that Christian made.
  15. Thank you! I'm not a Dr. (and never should be), but did volunteer at Planned Parenthood, where we did urine samples for pregnancy tests, and had the same thing. I recognise doctors aren't perfect, but I kept thinking "you're touching the baby with your pee pee hands"!
  16. Mr. Hula-la: “it’s interesting that she’s not into work, and thinks that life shouldn’t be about work, but the only way for that to happen is for Blake to be the one working”. Smart man he is!
  17. I see them as two different things. Brandon was telling Delvin that his tailoring was fabulous, and that's the "lane" that he needs to stay in--focus on beautifully tailored garments. Victoria, OTOH has the same look in every single garment that she has made. We all notice it (though apparently Nina doesn't). I do agree with you that many times, the judges will chastise a contestant for doing the same thing week after week, then in the same breath, praise another contestant for having a signature look. Where the contestant falls depends on how much they like said contestant and their look (that week).
  18. That's what I was wondering too. Her "please don't drink" seemed to me like a "please don't drink too much again".
  19. A woman from my dance class is working on getting her permanent residency (or whatever it’s called) for the US. She said she wasn’t even allowed to volunteer.
  20. Though, as a Jamaican, the expectation is that when we visit family, we bring gifts. My uncle came out to Canada to visit (from New York), and broughtNike hats that say “jus dweet”. Read in your best Jamaican accent and you should get it.
  21. And she responds...by acting like a little kid.
  22. I want to know what’s on Robert’s brother’s shirt. How do I impress him?
