  1. Dance, cheer, prom. I can see a huge number of consumers. It’s so not my thing (also because I have no hair in which to put said gems), but I can see a lot of people who really would like it.
  2. Thanks for the Star Search throwback! The dancers were my favourite part of the show. When you reach for the stars…and catch them. I’m cautiously optimistic about the new format (but really don’t care about them living together, and really don’t want the judges choosing).
  3. I wish that the producers of Top Chef Canada would pay attention. It’s always set in Toronto (and the grocery store that they use is owned by one of the chef judges).
  4. I knew that I had heard of hat guy’s restaurant. It was featured in either Food and Wine or Bon Appétit magazine (can’t find the article now). I can’t remember how he came across in the article, though.
  5. I like the camaraderie amongst the chefs, and Kristen is wonderful as the host. I had a moment when the one chef was worried about his chicken being 72 degrees. I was thinking “oh, that’s perfect!”, but the remembered that he was using Fahrenheit, and I was thinking in Celsius. Looking forward to the season!

    S1.E4 - IRL

I’m really liking this show. So on point with what is happening with young people right now (I don’t want to reveal the plot of this episode).
  7. It’s extremely rare, but it does happen. as so many posters have said, this show was been a highlight for me the entire series. I’m content with how things ended and look forward to seeing these actors in different projects.
  8. Well that was an unexpected ending. The lack of family doctors is across Canada. I’m sad that there are only 2 episodes left.
  9. I just looked up the ingredients in a few packages. They are NOT sugar free—sugar was the first ingredient listed. They are dairy free. There’s a lot of preservatives, but that’s what to expect from this product. The only way to make it preservative free is if a bakery was making the crumbs every day or two. I would order, but I live in Canada, and shipping products here is often pretty expensive for smaller companies.
  10. Was coming to ask the same thing. I tweeted CTV Comedy, and no response.
  11. Now knowing that this is the final season, each episode will be a little bittersweet. I liked seeing the same day from different viewpoints, and am glad that it’s back.
  12. What I love about this show is that I’m happy with the final 4. There might be some I want to win a little more, but I’m genuinely happy with whomever will end up winning.
  13. Loved the book. Hopefully, it will be picked up in Canada.
  14. The latest season begins airing Sept. 3 on KCTS (Seattle) and WTVS (Detroit).
  15. This is a bunch of years old, but gives some interesting info from people who have been involved in competition cooking shows. If you scroll down far enough, there’s an interesting comment about Masterchef.
  16. Just seeing if they make it on the ferry is exciting enough for part of an episode. I’ve had the joy of being squeezed in at the last minute, and the anguish of that red cone being placed in front of my car.
  17. I’ve watched 2 episodes so far, and quite like it.
  18. Unless things have changed, designers don’t have access to technology to do research (unless it’s part of the challenge). It was one of the early seasons where a designer was dismissed for having design books in his room, and the season of the twins where they had measuring equipment (I think) in their rooms. I can’t remember what happened with them, but it was considered a serious breach. I also notice that people are posting about Korto’s “onomatopology” (sounds like an apology, but isn’t really one), but no one mentioned that we saw no scenes of Kayne apologising. He spoke just as harshly to Anna as Korto did.
  19. My fear of heights is one of the things that keeps me off of TAR. I understand when Justin said that the rappelling challenge was under his control, but the bungee jumping wasn’t. I will be interesting to see how the two continue in the race. In the first few legs, they pushed to ensure they weren’t the last racers. Will they get that push back? On the plus side, I was in Pemberton last weekend at a wedding in that very location!
  20. I love Bishme’s inspiration behind his design.
  21. Having the pancake people move? Great twist! So far, no one is really annoying me, and I’m happy that the show is back.
  22. I watch from WTVS in Detroit. The Christmas special just aired and the new season begins July 8.
  23. I just saw on his IG that Nick is a consulting producer for the show.
