  1. I agree, and it probably explains why she started her blog and everything that comes from it. I would guess she gets really lonely out there while the menfolk are out doing their daily work. I'm not saying she doesn't have friends or whatnot, but that just living in the middle of nowhere at least 30 min or more from town means you don't just have friends that popover for a friendly chat, plus they probably have jobs of their own. I'm wondering what she will do once Paige heads off for college as well, b/c we all know the boys aren't going to want to pal around with her all day. I guess the explains why she has renovated the building in Pawhuska and is setting up shop there. I feel sick to my stomach that i'm having some compassion for Ree....I think I need to go lay down. I was watching the repeat where she went to the homecoming parade and football games. I'm confused as to how her boys are able to play on the local sports team since they are homeschooled. The football team looked like it was school-connected/pee-wee league. Although, I do remember seeing the jerseys all had the boys last name on the team, so i'm thinking the Drummonds bought their boys onto the team by sponsoring them somewhat.
  2. Ugh...it's going to take forever to get through the series now. I want it shown twice weekly.
  3. Yeah, I think as was the Jodie Sweetin character having a mini-breakdown/panic attack when they were told the show cancelled. I figured that was an allusion to her having the roughest time post-Full House. I couldn't figure out why they couldn't match the sets or the scripts either. I kept thinking the easter egg-dyeing scene was maybe from the unaired pilot...but nope. I wonder if they re-created the set as well as use excerpts from actual scripts they would have to pay ABC and the writers of those episodes. I too noticed they were cautious when it came to talking about Candace and Kirk Cameron, I'm guessing they figured these two wouldn't be as roll with the punches as the rest of the cast and would actually be litigious if they thought it necessary. That's why i'm hoping they are working on a Growing Pains film but are being slow and cautious as to not incur the wrath of Kirk Cameron and the Kingdom of God. I found it funny that they left out Jessie and Becky's twins...I guess the budget ran out. I would love a DH tell all film, but i'm thinking since they are currently in the business w/ Cherry as well as Nicolette Sheridan still out for Cherry's throat over the "hitting" incident they know not to touch this one....yet. Throw me in for a Dawson's Creek and Fresh Prince movies as well. I'm hoping after Naya Rivera's book w/ the dirt on Glee comes out that Lifetime buys the rights for a scandalous tell-all about the show. I would totally hope they wouldn't hold back the drama in regards to the relationships behind the scenes and the rumors about Ryan Murphy and some of the guys from the show.
  4. Well it didn't look like they coated the cars very well....what kind of paint did they use, Crayola washable?
  5. Did u watch the "news" thing that aired after this show? They showed clips from the original pilot and an interview w/the original actor who played Danny Tanner, John Posey. It was obvious Saget was the better choice. The sad part was that Posey had already packed up his house, as he lived on the east coast I think he said, and was in the midst of driving out to to California w/ all his stuff when he got the news that he had been recast. The actor who portrayed Saget did have the voice down and at times looked like him in this movie. Teenage Kimmy Gibbler kinda looked like Andrea Barber in some scenes. I didn't realize, not sure if it's true though, that MK&A's mother didn't like the idea of her daughters making money hand over fist and it was the dad who went money hungry in the end and divorced and all that.
  6. Ugh this was soooo boring. Bring on BH90210/Melrose. I also want a damn Growing Pains tell-all that exposes Kirk Cameron on his bullshit.
  7. Well a new batch of episodes started today. The "paco tacos" were an interesting idea for the leftovers, but I doubt I would ever try to make them. The vegetable lasagna looked really good. I will say that every time I have tried a version of this at a restaurant it never tastes right to me...I guess i'm just used to regular lasagna w/ meat and lots of oooey-gooey cheese and sauce. The dirt brownie was eh....I didn't understand the need for the cookie crumb crust at the bottom. I hate when kids act for the camera. The problem with Nancy's grandchildren are some act for the camera and other just don't. I find that Ree from the Pioneer Woman had this issues as well, where her youngest used to have to say "this is the bestest meal ever momma" or something like that, and now it seems Nancy's grandkids are being forced to talk about the taste of certain ingredients or whatever. Her little grandson was on my nerves today. I missed it since my dvr cut out early, did the soap-box derby racers crash at the bottom of the hill?
  8. So Edna Mae is Ladd's paternal grandmother? I always thought she was Ladd's father's sister or something. So if she was in her 90's now, that would make Ladd's father in his 70's. I guess all that time outdoors tending cattle, ranchin', and smoking probably has made him look and sound older than he is. All I can imagine after Ree and Paige left is Edna Mae thinking...."WTF am I supposed to do w/ all this?" So whenever Ree says she has made crackers, does that mean she just takes store bought crackers and dip them in butter and seasoning? Seriously?! That cabbage casserole looked horrible. To think Ree actually didn't go the full nasty with it by adding the cream of mushroom soup. I do think if you are making a care package for someone using their personal recipe that you probably shouldn't try to "elevate" it, you stick to what the original recipe calls for, warts and all. I know that Ree was thinking Edna Mae would eat it and have leftovers, but that was enough food for an army. I loved seeing Paige in the kitchen and pitching in, but come on Ree...we aren't stupid, we know you pulled her in from her studies to make your show come together. Instead she should have had Edna Mae in the kitchen talking about her life and showing us recipes she made.
  9. Is the Mary Tyler Moore Show coming back to the new schedule? I was in the midst of watching this show from the beginning when they up and quit in the midst of S2.
  10. I loved Ms. Pat's racism clearance shopping. My friend went to town buying the Paula Deen cookware collection at WM on the cheap after her downfall. I think we all got complete cookware sets for Christmas.
  11. I'm glad Chelsea was found and all, but do you think if the View wasn't in repeats they would have mentioned this in order to get her picture out there and help her be found safe and sound? I'm not sure Whoopi would have allowed it since it is basically her show now, but in the instance she did could you just imagine...."Rosie...maybe she just needs some time to cool off and vent or steam....we weren't there, we don't know what happened or went down....Rosie, just relax, calm down and give the girl some space, i'm sure she will come back when she is ready. Like I said, i'm glad Rosie's daughter was found, i'm not sure about the safe and sound part...based off of the stuff Rosie has been posting now about who she was found with. I really wish Rosie had more self-control when it comes to posting stuff out there quick like that, b/c I like Rosie and I hate when she seemingly sets herself up for public exposure like this. To be honest when it was announced that Chelsea was missing all I was dreading was someone reporter asking Trump for his thoughts and for him to go off on Rosie's character as a mother now.
  12. Wow, I was sure Giada had cashed in whatever chips she had left for a Dom win.
  13. I'm surprised she didn't add a layer of cream cheese or sour cream in that casserole.
  14. I'm on the boat that the trilogy was perfect, and the little vignettes we have gotten have been great additions to the story. My ranking of the trilogy is TS2, TS3, TS. The premise of this story intrigues me b/c I do want find out about what happened w/ Bo Peep. I'm guessing she was moved into Molly's room and then eventually given away or did she perhaps break in an accident...she was porcelain, right? I do wonder if the Bo Peep in this story will be our Bo Peep...just like there were plenty of other Buzz Lightyears in TS2. I would love if the gang ran across a duplicate Bo Peep lamp and this one, obviously, wouldn't have the memories of her time with the gang and now we have Woody trying to court a new Bo Peep while still recalling his past feelings/interactions w/ Bo Peep. It would be kind of a letting go and moving on, and a starting over situation. ( I don't think i've ever typed out Bo Peep so much in my life ) I would still want Annie Potts to voice Bo of course.
  15. The only way his film could make money now is if they let Trank re-edit the film into his original version from all the elements for the home media release, kinda the ultra-directors cut version. If the film actually makes 7.9 million or more this weekend I would be shocked
  16. Well that was a different variation of the "chicken tortilla casserole." The version my mother makes doesn't have beans, rice, salsa verde, or enchilada sauce. The chicken was also shredded. I'm really surprised that she didn't use beef instead. I wasn't sure that Ladd and the others would touch a "chicken" casserole. So Ree does know how to make enchilada sauce. I'm not sure if that's the proper way to make it as i've never made it before but i'm sure other here know, since the big debate last time she used the canned sauce. I thought that tomato salad was a waste, even though it looked good, since we know the men-folk don't care for veggies. When they showed Ree making the Mexican fruit cocktail, I at first thought she was chopping up cheese for the cocktail, but instead it was pineapple. I guess what i'm saying is I wouldn't be surprised at Ree putting cheese in a Mexican fruit cocktail. I loved how Ladd's father was keeping a close eye on Bryce and his friend. I think there was a little old-school cowboy there, like he didn't quite trust Bryce's friend.
  17. Why does the Black Panther costume look loose and baggy on the actor/stuntman? It just looks ill-fitting to me.
  18. Jamoche, you know that's not real....although it would have been awesome. Russell "the Professor" Johnson was made to play Reed Richards, and I have to admit Elizabeth Montgomery would have made a great Susan. So i'm curious how the movie will do this weekend. I noticed that there has been no more talk about the film since the abysmal box office showing last weekend and FOX saying they are still going to go ahead w/the sequel...for now.
  19. This is why I decided i'm done with this show. It seems almost every episode now is this.
  20. So why did Norm going all "odd" on the Friar's Club kid? I mean yeah, his jokes were very shticky but that was just strange that the first joke was all Norm could focus on. Does Norm have some agenda against someone who is a member of the Friar's Club?
  21. No, they don't. I was born and raised in western Oklahoma and you only see that type of dress when it's for something special, church included. I wouldn't be surprised if when the invitations went out for this party that it said wear your best western wear b/c it was to be filmed, and even if they weren't asked to wear their cowboy best i'm sure anyone that thinks they might show up on camera for a tv show is going to dress their best. We have to remember this is a lifestyle show, so she is wanting her and her life portrayed in a certain way.
  22. Oh no....that would open the Pioneer Woman brand to a whole new audience. Ree learning how to cook vegan meals for her daughter. I could see Ree pulling a Marge Simpson in regards to Lisa being a vegetarian on the show, if I recall Marge sneaks beef broth and other meat things in w/o Lisa noticing.
  23. I finally got around to watching Hush, Hush...Sweet Charlotte today. Great movie all around I felt. I loved Agnes Moorehead, she can do no wrong on radio, tv, or film. I have a question though, hope some of you can straighten me out. At the end of the film was Charlotte being led off to jail or was she just being evicted from the house like the sheriff planned to do? How would Charlotte be able to explain how she was being "gaslighted" by Miriam and Drew based on the consensus that the whole town thought she was loony?
  24. I think that even after David revealed himself as that Andria thought perhaps David was still playing w/ her perhaps by having a friend pretend to mess with her mind. She wanted definitive proof that David wasn't actually real, or at least interested in her. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that in reality Andria is still keeping in contact with "David" just in case he might be real and she was just being tricked for tv. I'm actually getting tired of this show, I just want to slap some of these people and tell them to wake up and move on.
  25. I'm curious, did I miss something where they said the winner would have a travel and taste show only? I thought in years past that the faux-shows they make in the final episodes has always been a travel and taste show, but when they did their real show the actually got to cook. We know that they can all cook, but it's the other part that some....cough-Dom-cough....have had issues with. I do think that everything has been set up from the beginning for a Dom win here. I watched the Star Salvation recap show before this weeks episode, and when Dom did his intro and said something to the effect that he was the newest Italian chef, they cut to Alex and she raised an eyebrow and it really made me think that she was in on all this that they are setting him up to take over the crown from Giada as she moves on elsewhere within the network.
