  1. Wow, some of the stuff is already going out of stock online....the Charlie cookie jar is out of stock....I guess people love dog cookie jars. the thing w/ the large drink dispenser is the spigot. It needs to be made of a quality material, most are just plastic, or else it just fails. I've had friends who have bought different kinds and the spigot just doesn't hold up b/c everyone flips it at different strength to where it eventually breaks. If we're lucky Ree will have some racial secret come out at some point and then we will get her collection on clearance ala Paula Deen. My friend cleaned up w/ the Deen pots and pan sets after the racist-takedown came to light and Walmart wanted nothing more to do w/ her.
  2. Here it is...the Pioneer Woman Collection only at Walmart. Well....it sure is....colorful. I love the collection names...Flea Market Chic, Adeline, and Cowgirl Lace. I suppose in the next batch of new episodes she will incorporate these items into her baking/serving? The best part is we can all get a Charlie cookie jar. Btw...how did I not know she had a whole line of Charlie children's books? Is she writing these or does she have a ghostwriter...perhaps the children write the Charlie books.
  3. So this means Audrey killed Rachel then right? No reason as of yet as to why Rachel had to die other than now it seems like Piper was speaking the truth when she said Rachel's parents said Audrey talked Rachel into doing things she didn't want to do. If I had to venture a guess as to the reason why....I'm guessing Audrey tried to bring Rachel into the plan w/ Piper and Rachel balked and so she had to go. Totally underwhelming with the reveal of the killer and Audrey showing up at the dock. It was so obvious how it would go down. So they can't find Piper's body.....I'm guessing Audrey switched out the bullets w/ blanks. What I thought the biggest plot hole of this entire season was that all these kids trusted Piper for no reason at all. A stranger comes to town in the midst of a murder spree and everyone just trusts her blindly. Well I'm out. This show is just ridiculous like Emma having no issue climbing into the back of an ambulance after a major wound across her stomach which would more than likely require stitches.
  4. I loved how neat and tidy her attic was. It was like one of those attics that you only see in television and films. I was surprised the two dresses weren't already on dressmaker forms, and yes I did see one of the forms in the background. I loved the pineapple upside down cake pan. I love those vintage pans like that as well. I'll be 100% honest here, i've never eaten that type of cake before in my 33 years. I used to despise pineapple, as well as other vegetables and whatnot, but that has changed. If I were to run across it or something I would probably try it and love it. I do want to try Nancy's variation though w/ other fruits. The chipped beef over toast though....nah, not for me. The crackers as well, didn't look appealing to me and the clove I could see being a huge taste issue. I have learned the hard way, a little clove goes a dang long way. Those veggies though, mmmm....
  5. Rowland came to my attention in the Sandra Bullock film Hope Floats. She was great in that film, as for the Notebook she was okay I guess. I am interested in seeing some of her other work so my fingers are crossed that TCM gives her a day in the upcoming months to honor her honorary Academy Award.
  6. Okay, well that makes more sense Rick Kitchen, since like I said I was confused about what Debbie Reynolds had done humanitarian wise other than costume/prop preservation. Of course that then leads me to think they were going to give Doris Day the Hersholt Award for her animal foundation, and when she said no they didn't have any other options and just went with the three honorees instead. I'm a little nervous about Carrie Fisher doing her mother's introduction b/c at times it seems like she is more roasting than honoring her mother.
  7. I would think the Hydra threat target could totally have taken Banner out. I think the reason why the self-inflicted bullet method didn't work was b/c the Hulk persona subconsciously knew what the Banner persona was going to do. In this case a quick laser beam to Banner, he wouldn't have enough time to think about or know what was going to happen and I could see it taking him out.
  8. I loved Joey in S1, and that's it. After she sees Eve for the first time after the boat/dock incident and just automatically decides she dislikes her, it reminded me of hating Jen as soon as she met her...well I guess since they are related maybe it's just a Potter thing where she can seek out and actively hate all of the Ryan women. As for Pacey and Joey, I hated them as a couple but they totally deserved each other to make one another miserable. The only time I think when Pacey was an even bigger tool than Joey was when he dumped her at the prom b/c how dare she dance w/her best friend.
  9. So S3, this is when Joey turned into a full bitch of a character right? They just started S3 on ABC Family. I can't stand Joey at this point. She tells Dawson she can never forgive him for having her turn her father into the cops, but now after a summer away from Dawson she is ready for him just to come running back into her arms and forget all that she said and the fact that every time he allows himself to be w/ Joey she dumps him for stupid reasons. I hate that you could totally tell the writers wanted Joey/Pacey together so bad that they assassinated the character of Andie.
  10. Since this has to do somewhat w/ stars we watch here in many films shown on TCM... Gena Rowlands is getting an honorary Academy Award this year and Debbie Reynolds is getting the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. I read on another board, somebody w/a friend on the Board of Governors, that they once again tried to honor Doris Day but she turned them down again. They were letting her choose whether she wanted just the honorary award or the Jean Hersholt award. They kept trying to get Day to change her mind up, offering to fly her down or come up to her home to film her accepting the award, till the day before they announced the recipients for this year. Why can't they just honor Doris Day at this point w/o the pomp and circumstances of requiring her to physically accept the award on camera? Let Osborne accept the award on her behalf as they are great friends and I can't think of anyone else who could honor her w/ such grace. I'm more shocked that they took this long to honor Debbie Reynolds, but what is her humanitarian work for? The only thing I can think of is her rescuing and preserving the costumes and memorabilia from the films that the studio just tossed out in the garbage. I really wish TCM would show some of the Gena Rowlands body of film work as i'm really unfamiliar w/ it. I'm hoping that maybe that will change now and they will give her a day w/ a great interview by Robert Osborne. Does anyone else hope that the Academy will give Osborne an honorary Academy Award for introducing the great films of the silent/golden age of film to a broader audience through TCM?
  11. I would hope they would let Scott be able to go "giant-sized" before letting Barton...it's bad enough they pushed Pym aside somewhat to go w/ Scott, but to just jump to Barton using the Pym particles to go "giant-sized" would be just wrong. I'm really thinking that we will see Scott go Giant-Man on us in Civil War at some point. I think it would be funny to see Scott messing w/ the suit during the film and during the battle he hits the button but instead of shrinking he goes giant-sized. It would break the mood if it happened during the middle of everyone fighting and everyone just stops to look at Scott now giant-sized.
  12. We are sooooo getting this....
  13. I have a feeling it's more than likely to tie-in to the film August: Osage County plus that's where they are located basically. When that film was being shot in the area I kept waiting to hear that Ree somehow got the cast to come to the lodge so she could make them an authentic Osage County dinner.
  14. This doesn't shock me at all, a teenager says something to someone else who misconstrues it to fit whatever nefarious plan they want. Just putting that out there already will make people think the worst b/c she's gay. I'm guessing the actual truth of the "got too close" was Rosie got in Chelsea's face in an argument...screamed at her, but the bio-mom wants people to think that she did inappropriate things.
  15. I agree w/ Rosie cutting off Chelsea financially. I'm sure Rosie has trusts set up for each of her children but i'm guessing they don't kick in until 21 or older. I wonder if the bio-mom thought it would play out this way; in my mind she was probably hoping that Rosie would continue to support Chelsea financially even w/ her daughter living away from Rosie. I don't know the situation mind you but I hope Rosie holds out and doesn't let the bio-mom win, which let's face it she was probably hoping to get a huge payday. This usually ends with the bio-mom accepting a payout and showing her true colors to Chelsea, that she wants money and not a relationship w/ her daughter.
  16. Ugh...for some reason I see a lawsuit headed by Chelsea and her mother against Rosie in the near future with outrageous claim after outrageous claim. This is going to get messy real fast. Poor Rosie O.
  17. The funny thing in The Catered Affair is when the son, Eddie, comes onto the screen I immediately thought oh he's gay....I looked up the actor afterwards and sure enough Ray Stricklyn was indeed gay. Just odd for me I guess to make that connection like that. I did a search to see if there was a version of the Thelma Ritter tv-version of the The Catered Affair and didn't have any luck, does anyone else know of a copy online or somewhere? I'm not one on remakes, but this film I would love to see a remake w/ a great cast, perhaps an indie remake version.
  18. Well serial killers are kinda f-ed up in the head and I could totally see him doing this to get back at Daisy who abandoned him. I only mention that the supposed Mrs. James was closer in confusing the name Kieran with Keith than Emma who just said was it Seth? That's what led me to believe it was Kieran all along. This x1,000,000....I rolled my eyes so much at this scene. It was so pointedly stupid especially since what person in their right mind would be caught up in a Halloween party after watching her ex split in half in front of her. Emma has some serious mental issues. I also don't totally buy Kieran's side of the story with his meeting of Nina at the bar. I bet he banged the hell out of that saucy tramp. I love how it's just a given how easy it is for these kids to go buy liquor and get into bars so easily. I know it's a smallish town and all.... Brooke's father being the mayor give her some connections, but he's in jail now. As for Nina, Rachel, and Kieran in the bar....well Nina would totally have a fake id, Rachel....uh...., and Kieran....i'm thinking he is actually 21 or older. I'm wondering if Kieran is the sheriff's biological son, or perhaps he was adopted or something. I do think Audrey has set up Mr. Branson b/c seriously, who would have seen that knife in the pa system especially since she is tiny. I'm just ready for this show to be done with so I can be done with it.
  19. I can't remember, did Whedon originally plan to do an Avengers trilogy then bowed out after the interference on AoU? At the time when he said he wouldn't direct any further Avengers films he said he was exhausted and wanted to focus on his own stuff, but now he is saying otherwise since Wright's departure from Ant-Man. I know he is still consulting/writing/contributing in some capacity on the remainder of the Phase 3 films including the Infinity Gauntlet/War 2-parter. I do think Disney/Marvel gives the directors some leeway in regards to the MCU films as long as they hit main points that connect to the overall vision and aren't just totally off from the source material.
  20. So does this mean God has a different plan for Sherri since she wasn't asked back full time?
  21. Luckily when MTM starts back up they are picking up where they left off this last winter with the start of S3. Yay!
  22. I watched Badlands bc I'm a huge Spacek fan but wow that movie is just odd. I still don't know what to think of it. I get Spacek is playing a sheltered, naive 15 yr old but Sheen's character was just wackadoodle all over the place. I read the Wikipedia article for both real-life people and that didn't help me understand the characters at all. Is there something in missing with the film The Unsinkable Molly Brown...bc I love musicals and Debbie Reynolds but this film is unwatchable for me and goodness knows I've tried many times to get through but just can't. A Catered Affair was wonderful. Such a great movie, but I do have to say I would rather have seen Thelma Ritter reprise the role as the Bronx mother.
  23. I figured it was Kieran when Brandon James mom said he had old school Hollywood looks and misremembered his name as Keith before Emma interrupted her. I wish we had more of Emma's look of horror as she realized she slept with her half brother. I still think Piper is the child of Daisy and Brandon ( she looks like Daisy and Emma) although she is in cahoots with Kieran who I'm guessing has Daddy issues of his own. I'm thinking it was Jake who was spying on Brooke in the webcam. That look Kieran gave to Rachel on the raw footage solves that mystery for me, but I'm sure these writers will find some convoluted reason to dismiss that. I'm ready for this series to be done bc I can't stand Emma as the protagonist here, she is a bad actress.
  24. Wasn't Rosie O told the same thing and we all saw how that played out. We have to remember the last time Joy was an active member of the panel was during Whoopi's "going through the motions" stint, then Rosie O came on and basically pushed back and woke the beast up. I have a feeling Whoopi will be just as defensive this time around but now it will be towards Joy....and Candace.
  25. Ugh....why Joy, you were out and done. I only hope that Joy comes out swinging for Whoopi's ass, remind her who is the head bitch in charge. I have a feeling this live for five days will last as long as the new format of the show from last season, remember the coffee table and chairs....Whoopi will push back and it will be four days live and the Friday's pre-taped. I give it two months, not that i'll be watching.
